At Darey Art Alade's "Love Like a Movie 3" last night, Grammy award winner Ciara brought the house down at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre as the audience received an unexpected treat they will remember for a long time. Shortly after completing her final performance of the night, the R&B superstar invited Nigerian dance queen Kaffy onstage to teach her some popular Nigerian dance moves.
For the next three minutes, the auditorium recorded its loudest noise of the night as Kaffy taught Ciara and her backup dancers how to dance to Iyanya's "Kukere", Tekno's "Duro" and Olamide's "Bobo" to the wild delight of the crowd. When it was over, the crowd screamed for more as Ciara reluctantly made her exit after leaving a huge impression on everyone.

The popular Prostitute told the New Zimbabwe news in an interview that she has sub-divided her house into several rooms where she now allows other Prostitutes stay and pay her rentals. Sometimes when business is low, she gives them time to make money and pay later.

She however boasted that with the coming of young and energetic sex workers, she is not in competition with them because what she does is assist them whenever it's necessary and she has opened a register to know which sex worker is at Madondo shopping centre in case something happens to them.
She wasn't also shy to reveal that she is HIV positive, but was quick to clarify that her retirement is not because she is infected, but age.

SYLVIA KANDEYA (SK) claims to have bedded more than 4000 men during her 30-year sex work life and she has now decided to retire. Newzimbabwe.com (NZ) travelled to Mount Darwin to talk to Sylvia about her enterprising career.

NZ: Word has it that you are the godmother of all sex workers in and around Madondo shopping centre and sex workers bow before you; how far true is that?

SK: All sex workers that come and trade here in Mt Darwin and especially here at Madondo Shopping centre pass through me and my register has more than 20 of them.

NZ: But how did you end up being so popular?

SK: The only work that I have done in my life is to sell sex services for close to three decades; I am 55 years now and I don’t remember the exact number of men that I have offered services but kana kuma 4 000 vanosvika (the number may be as high as 4000).

NZ: On average, how many men per day or a week did you sleep with?

SK: (laughs) I used to sleep with more than 7 men per day but now things have changed; I going into retirement, it’s now one or two men per month.

NZ: Did they pay you well?

SK: Oh yes! Very well, I remember years back when men used to have lots of money to spare before mari ye Zimbabwe yadyiwa nemujuru (before the record breaking inflation).

NZ: And where did all that money go?

SK: I managed to buy a stand here in Mt Darwin Township, built a house and I also sent my children to school.

NZ: You said you have more than 20 sex workers under you; do they pay to be registered or…?

SK: No no no, they don’t pay me anything, but kana zviri ku fire (if business is good) they usual pay a token of appreciation.

Remember, I have sub-divided my house into several rooms where they stay and pay me rentals, that’s the arrangement. Sometimes when business is low, I give them time to make money and pay later.

NZ: With the coming of young and energetic sex workers, are you able to compete with them?

SK: I don’t compete with them; I assist them whenever its necessary and I have opened a register to know which sex worker is at Madondo shopping centre in case something happens to them.

NZ: How active are you now in your work these days?

SK: With age, I now have very few clients that I serve personally and two permanent one who come for the ‘good service’.

NZ: With the current economic challenges facing the country, is sex work still paying well?

SK: All is not well, sex workers here are even paid $1 for a quickie and $5 for the rest of the night, but long ago they used to charge between $10 and $20 a night.

NZ: This may be very sensitive it’s up to you to answer it or not, word around says you are ‘retiring’ for health reasons, how far true is that?

SK: Gone are the days when people would be ashamed to come out in open; it’s not a secret, yes I am HIV positive but that’s not the reason for retirement, it has to do with age.

NZ: When did you discover that you were HIV positive?

SK: I got tested in 2005, that’s when I discovered that I am HIV positive and since then I have been living positively and now l also educate the young sex workers the use of condoms.

NZ: Thank you very much for your time; we wish you a restful retirement.

According to Kempton Express, a 39-year-old Nigerian drug peddler was arrested by the metro police's Germiston crime prevention task team in Kempton Park, SA. He was found in possession of five blocks of Cat estimated to be worth R25,000 on the street. Methcathinone also called Cat is a recreational drug and considered addictive.



It is either smoked, snorted, injected or taken orally. The Nigerian man with a life-partner permit that expired in 2014, was nabbed at the intersection of West and Central streets in the Kempton Park CBD around 11am on Thursday, February 11.

A charge of possession of an illicit substance was registered at Kempton Park Police Station and the suspect is expected to appear in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court soon.

Relief has finally come the way of breast cancer patient, Sa'adatu Muhammed Giade as wife of Bauchi State Governor, Hajiya Hadiza Mohammed Abubakar takes over her medical treatment. It can be recalled that this heart touching picture of a lady suffering from what seems to be cancer of the breast went viral on social media.

Sa'adatu Muhammad Giade, a 19-year-old orphan is lying helplessly at the Ward 4 of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital in a critical condition with no financial strength to cater for her treatment.

According to a statement issued by Yakubu Adamu, SA Communications to the Deputy Governor, the news got to the attention of Hajiya Hadiza Mohammed Abubakar, wife of Bauchi State Governor and as expected, she has stepped in through her NGO, Bauchi Sustainable Economic Empowerment and Peace Initiative (B-SWEEP).

She has requested that the woman's details be forwarded by the hospital authority as she has taken over all responsibilities for Saadatu Muhammad Giade's medical treatment.

Now men in Nairobi have been bitten by the ‘bigger is better’ bug. Just having a fuel guzzler, palatial home and expansive parcels of land is no longer enough. The real man now also has to pack a ‘bazooka’ in his boxers.


It is the ultimate, it seems, to be super endowed with roaring horse power fuelled by the ‘blue pill.’ This is the age of the joystick enlarger.



But for a 26-year-old man, the desire to have a formidable firearm ended at Kenyatta National Hospital where medics tried to save whatever remained of his ‘tools of trade’ after his manhood got tangled up in an enlargement device.

The patient cannot be named due to doctor-patient confidentiality, but he consented to his case being used as a medical case study in the October 2015 issue of the International Journal of Surgery in which local doctors Faraj Alkizim, Daniel Kanyata, Joseph Githaiga and Joseph Oliech described how they managed to pull off a ring that had ‘choked’ the joystick of the patient in an article titled Tight Affair, for more than 12 hours.

The International Journal of Surgery notes that Kenyatta National Hospital admitted the 26-year-old male patient who was presented to the casualty department from a peripheral facility after he “complained of inability to remove a penile ring, penile pain and inability to pass urine.”

According to the doctors, the penile ring had been inserted the previous evening at 7pm as part of a penile enlargement kit the patient had bought.

The kit had instructions on how to place the ring around the joystick for three hours every two weeks. He had previously successfully removed it as he followed the enlargement regimen. The doctors said that the delay to seek medical help led to gradual enlargement of the joystick with darkening of the glans. He was also unable to urinate and had developed abdominal pain.

“An attempt to remove or cut the ring in a minor theatre was unsuccessful as the ring was too thick for the available cutters,” notes the doctors in the journal. They explained that, “A sharp prick with a blade was made on the joystick. About 100 ml of clotted, dark venous blood was milked out. This enabled a decrease in the penile circumference and nylon tape was slipped underneath the ring.”

After an hour of repeatedly slipping the nylon tape under the ring, wrapping the distal end tightly around the joystick, and pulling the proximal end of the nylon tape in a circumferential manner, the doctors were able to slip the ring off the joystick.

It was quite a lesson for the local jogoo who yearned to crow the loudest and send hens scampering in his hood.
