Just dont rely on NGX Api alone in doing analysis, as rightly said, some stocks were wrong analysed in YTD growth, because they didnt factor stock reconstructions done in stocks like transcorp and ucap. this wrong reports are even on mainstream business news platform. thats where you come in, in giving reliable data, there is so much market for you bro, abeg helps us. kudos once again


For the ytd records, you are meant to change the beginning price by factoring the total O/S after reconstruction.

so for example, ucap; simply delete the 2 new shares added, i.e today's price of ucap at 19x3 = 57
.

Multiply the share price by 3 to get the share price pre-bonus.

The site is "okayish", but I think it needs more work to make it truly engaging and addictive. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the bubble visuals. Perhaps taking inspiration from "Visual Capitalist" could help you explore better visualization options.

Here are a few things I’d suggest working on:

1. Add more details for each stock, such as the sector, what the company does, information about management, market cap, shares outstanding, and a dividend history with rates for at least the past five years.

2. Include a flexible ranking system that allows users to sort stocks by different criteria—day, month, dividend rate, market cap, value traded, etc.

I recommend checking out Yochaa. Although they don’t update as frequently now, it was my go-to software for analysis before I started developing my own tools and data. Another platform worth looking at is Investing dot com. Did you know their screener allows users to shortlist stocks based on a combination of criteria?

I noticed you comparing your site to Investing dot com recently. To be honest, you're still far behind. While your platform appears to have more timely and accurate data—likely because you’re using a paid provider—the functionality is still quite basic. The market closes at 2:30pm I notice the fastest brokers report the closing report earliest by a few minutes to 3pm. Suggesting final data is not ready until about 15 minutes or more after market closing. Thus I guess your site may not have the final data until about 3 pm also depending on when the final data comes from the market for day.
