Probably, the ASP has a hand in the parcel to be waybilled. The word DISCHARGED is a misuse of English word. The act of the ASP was intentional, I learnt that he removed and reinserted the (bullet, pardon my English here) when the trigger first failed. |
Corps member killed in crossfire during Abuja robbery April 26, 2026 8:39 pm NYSC logo By Umar Sani The Nigerian Army has confirmed the death of a serving National Youth Service Corps member, Abdulsamad Jamiu, during a security operation following a robbery attack in Abuja. Jamiu was killed in the early hours of April 25, 2026, at Shagari Estate, Dei-Dei, in the Federal Capital Territory. The Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Headquarters Guards Brigade, Lt. Olawuyi Odunola, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday. Odunola said troops of the Guards Brigade Quick Response Group, who were on routine night patrol, responded to a distress call over an armed robbery incident in the area. “Upon arrival, the troops came under gunfire from the fleeing armed robbers, resulting in a brief but intense exchange. “In the course of the engagement, Mr Jamiu was caught in the crossfire. Despite efforts by troops to secure the area and preserve lives, he sadly succumbed to his injuries. This heartbreaking loss has cast a deep shadow over all personnel of the Guards Brigade,” he said. The Army spokesman said the Commander, Guards Brigade, officers and soldiers had extended condolences to the family of the deceased, the NYSC and others affected by the incident. He noted that a thorough investigation had been launched to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, assuring that findings would be made public. According to him, the remains of the deceased have been handed over to the appropriate authorities and deposited at Kubwa General Hospital. Odunola reaffirmed the Guards Brigade’s commitment to protecting lives and property within the Federal Capital Territory, adding that operational procedures would be reviewed to enhance civilian safety. He also urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies in maintaining peace and security. Umar Sani https://punchng.com/corps-member-killed-in-crossfire-during-abuja-robbery/ |

I went to NSCDC Agodi, IBADAN during the last Ramadan. My wife reported me when I demanded to know the school my children attend and I was invited. On getting to room 306 (secretariat), I introduced myself and the Investigating Officer (I.O) said she would detain me. I replied her, u must release me after 24hrs. She took me to the counter and remained there for like 2hrs. The point I'm trying to make here is that these low educated officers (police, NSCDC, ndlea etc) like to overdo things |

I have a similar story. My firstborn is in Lagos state, around Kola or Alakuko since 2007. The mother pinned the pregnancy on another man who was ready I have not been able to reach her since then. Her father younger wife and my sister were fully aware of the pregnancy. He's a boy named Idris |

Bearing the same name isn't tantamount to certificate forgery. The screening committee should provide details. I had similar experience on 3 different occasions The same name, same higher institutions (college of education, university) but different courses. |
U can use low "level of education" for for those with SSCE, ND and NCE. The word ILLITERATE is derogatory As someone has rightly pointed out, once u can read and write in any language u are literate |
Similar thing happened to me and I have not fully recovered. Mine was over a million naira My wife would run back to her family house after she's squandered the business capital. She lacks business acumen. She's presently in IBADAN with the children, I was really mad at her last time she repeated same. I'm planning to reconcile with her because of the children BUT she must be ready to get START UP CAPITAL for herself. This didn't go down well with her, she wants me to secure a loan from a cooperative society for her again. Nothing dey the head |
I tasted two and three when growing up. Very delicious. No 2 is called manimani (caterpillar) and no 3 is called isunsun (reproductive termite) |
