i've been watching with keen interest the way some gullible Nigerians insult this woman. I begin to ponder and ask myself "what was her crime". With all the propagandas flying during the electioneering process, never was any accusation of financial embezzlement or recklessness levied against her. Even the eagle-eyed media and social media crew never had any corrupt case against her except the state of the economy which in reality has many players and influencers that are more powerful than NOI. I laugh when I see under-aged dullards who didn't even pass Economics in WASSC turn economic experts to insult this woman on Nairaland. Ensure your mother can spell economics before you quote me ![]() |

What really makes Nigeria so interesting is that nobody dares point a finger at the north, nobody dares to even complain talkmore of fighting them. Fulani's now have exclusive right to kill anybody. Who dares to question them ![]() Anyways, their victims are not complaining as long as they are not Igbos ![]() |

Since the inception and aftermath of the electioneering season, there has been a dearth of intelligent contribution on most threads on Nairaland. There has also been an increase of first to comment charlatans on most topic on the politics section. I came here to read an incisive analysis and argument of the topic of this thread only to see the thread littered by charlatans who have nothing to contribute but want to be heard by all means. Pls don't like my comment. *walks out* |

Top northern leaders have called on the President -elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, rtd, to declare amnesty for Boko Haram insurgents when he takes over power on May 29. Among the prominent leaders making the call are: the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Mohammed Uwais and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Ambassador Babagana Kingibe and former Nigerian Ambassador to the United Nations, Ibrahim Gambari Their call was contained in a communiqué issued after a two-day conference with the theme: “Security and Governance Challenges in Africa’s largest Democracy,” by the Savannah Centre for Diplomacy, Democracy and Development, SCDDD, as part of its “Nigeria Beyond 12015 Project,” in Abuja yesterday. The joint statement was signed by Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, founder of Savannah Centre, Major General Ishola Williams, Executive Secretary, Pan-African Strategic and Peace Research Group, PAN-AFSTRAG, Justice Mohammed Uwais (chairman of the occasion) and Ambassador Abdullahi Omaki, executive director of the Savannah Centre. They also called on the Federal Government ‘’to expedite action on the compensation of victims of Boko Haram terrorism and insurgency through the established and funded Victims’ Support Fund,’’ and for urgent priority attention to the special economic programme for the North East by the incoming administration, just as they condemned ‘’the carnage, devastations and displacements, which the Boko Haram group inflicted upon many innocent Nigerians in the north east region.’’ The communiqué further called ‘’for the establishment of a special economic programme for the affected states of the North-East, focusing on rehabilitation, resettlement and reconstruction,’’ as well as on the need for ‘’the governors of the North-East States and indeed of the entire North, on the necessity for a blueprint that addresses the issues of vocational and skills-acquisition education for the youths.’’ Diezani reportedly jets out with Buhari to London Among those who participated in the conference were the National Security Adviser, NSA, Col Sambo Dasuki, rtd, (represented by Ambassador C.L. Olaseinde); the Secretary, Borno State Elders’ Forum, BSEF, Dr Bulama Gubio (who represented Governor Kashim Shettima); Dr. Zakariya Ousmane Ramadene of N’djamena, Chad. Prof. Abubakar Momoh, DG, Electoral Institute, INEC, Abuja and Professor Habu Galadima, director research, NIPSS, Jos, Plateau State. http://dailypost.ng/2015/05/23/northern-leaders-demand-amnesty-for-boko-haram/ |
