No, that wasn't the first retaliatory killings in the East. During the time of Orji Kalu as governor of Abia state, there was massive retaliatory killings in Aba. I think due to Kaduna killing of Igbos.

Our neighbor then in the same street, Alhaji Labran escaped with his family and never returned. He was rich then and owned cars.

The roads of Aba was littered with dead bodies and the air smelt like there was massive barbecue of goats. I couldn't eat meat or anything suya again after that horrific event.

Thank God that such barbaric killings has stopped in the North.

It was the Same 2006,Aba heard about dead bodies of Igbos brought back with trailer in Onitsha.
