Investment / Re: Buying US Stocks From Nigeria by Trapqueeen: 11:47am On Jan 01, 2021
I have investments in both Chaka and Bamboo. I find chaka's fees more expensive and the interface not as simplified as bamboos'. Also bamboo reduces commissions from 1.5% to 1% when you become a gold member. Your investments are also insured by FDIC for up to $250,000. I have been investing since May and i can say i am very happy with Bamboo. I have added a snapshot of my portfolio (hidden amounts) but you can have an idea of what ~6 months roi looks like. The key is to buy the dips.

You also gain more as a value/growth/dividend investor than a trader due to the high commissions on these platforms (even as at bamboo's reduced 1%), traders need to find commission-free platforms like robinhood.

yes ma... "This is the reason why myself, Dremanuel and others haven't gotten a regret mail yet".... Doesn't show that you are not pessimistic..... The way that sounded was like you're sure you'll all get regret mails ( or what does " yet"imply in the statement?).... Or did I not " read and digest" that comment of yours well enough?? #just_asking.

That's why I said to read well, you cannot just take a sentence and draw conclusion from it. It has nothing to do with doing well. It's simply from the requirement stated about 2013 bsc. Nairalanders on this thread have said the machine automatically rejects those who don't meet the requirements. However technically some of us don't, and are still standing 12/15 days post submission. Hence, the age factor.

Do you understand now?

I thought their not getting back to you yet was suppose to be a good thing... Or you don't believe you did well enough to qualify to the next phase??.... Babe, biko don't be a pessimist..... Just keep believing.

I didn't say it wasn't and I wasn't being pessimistic,

I was speaking about their requirements. Take your time, read and digest.

Just my 2 cents, I think the 2013 Bsc graduate requirement is a way of putting an age requirement for the graduate position. However, in Europe, it is unethical to reject employment based on age, gender or race. This is the reason why myself, DreManuel and Others haven't gotten rejection mail yet.
Technically I believe we are still within the age bracket, being that some of us graduated at 18.. etc.
Then again, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about

Nothing stated.

But, If you are nonchalant like me, you may wear a Polo shirt.

If you are moderate, you may wear shirt and maybe tie.

If you are serious, you may wear a 3-piece suit with your shoes shined.

And if you are daring, you may wear Agbada.

I hope you get what you want.. Shell perhaps, they'll be lucky to have you smiley

Yes it is.. after you get an offer, background/referrals/academic/work experience/medical checks are carried out... You don't expect them to take our word (On Cv) for it. I'd advise you work on getting your transcripts. Worst case, print the unofficial transcripts from your school's website. Goodluck
