An Europe based Nigerian couple has been arrested by the police and are currently undergoing interrogation after allegedly beaten up their sister-in-law for infidelity. .

According to Vanguardngr, Bela (the victim) who is married to Amsterdam-based Felix Omeneka, brother to Kelly, was beaten to a pop by Kelly and his wife Mercy in their family home in Ajao Estate over the weekend.

The bad blood allegedly began after Felix instructed Bela to go live in his family house, shortly after their wedding in 2016, even though it did not sit well with her. .

No sooner than she moved into the family house than the battles started between herself and her brother and sister in law-Kelly and Mercy. .

All hell was let loose over the weekend when Bela discovered that some of her belongings were missing, Approaching Mercy to enquire about them, degenerated into a physical combat between the sisters-in-law.

Bela says: “Kelly did not separate us. Rather, he went for a horse whip and started flogging me all over my body and at the same time, hitting me in the ribs. He accused me of bewitching his brother to the extent that he does not look at the face of another back in Europe.

A member of the family called and instructed them to seize my marriage certificate so that I won’t have any vital document to prove that the union is legal. Kelly also seized my phone and dragged me out of the building.

''All I could remember at that point was seeing an oncoming car approaching the direction he dumped me as I passed out.” .

According to the victim, she says the brother-in-law later unlock the gate around 4am Only to order her to move out of the family house on the grounds of marital infidelity.

Says: “He told me that they had a directive from their mother not to allow me in until I went to the village to swear an oath of fidelity. It was a concerned neighbour that later put me in a cab that took me to my sister’s place, from where I was rushed to the hospital.”

A 25-yr-old Man Arrested With Fresh Human Skull In Ogun .

One Babalola Alex, has been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command for being in possession of a human skull. .

The suspect, an indigene of Ondo State, was Thursday, arrested at Asese area of Ogun State by the men of the Anti-Robbery Squad. .

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the arrest followed a tip off by a member of the public. .

Oyeyemi said the informant was in a nearby bush to ease himself when he sighted two men with an item suspected to be human skull being put in a sack

The Police then went after the suspects arrested one of them while the other escaped and upon search, the item was discovered to be human skull.

Babalola was said to have confessed that the human skull was requested for by an herbalist who promised to help him and his partner simply identified as Ijebu, with money rituals.

Nigerian's soul Singer Simi's Mum was few weeks ago reported to be hooked and the wedding set to hold this January. Ms. Jedidiah Ogunleye and her estranged husband got separated in 1997 and she’s been single ever since. Simi’s mom who shared the testimony of her engagement at church on the eve of the New Year, said:

“I joined this church for over 20 years as a sinner. I will like to say a big thank you to Pastor Sam. My desire has always been to get married. Every Sunday, I’m always ushering couples to their seat and I love to see these couples ushered into the church because marriage is something I so much desire. Getting married has always been a particular goal I rewrite every year. My daughter Simi once told me that “mummy, this church you are going, it’s just young boys and youths that attend this church, you may never find a man of your age in that church.” But I trusted God too much.

Just this year a man walked into my life and as you can see, I am now engaged and would be getting married in January 2018.”

According to sources present, just before the singer’s mom began sharing her testimony, the congregation was already screaming and Simi’s mom had to keep the congregation quiet in order to be heard. She was full of great excitement as she showed off her ring to the whole church.

27-year-old Nigerian man identified as Ebuka okori, from Umunze Orumba LGA, Anambra State, has been shot dead by some S. African police officers.

According to his brother, the incident occurred at about 2:am on Friday in Durban. He said two SAPS men in mufti, came to their house, immediately broke into the deceased's room and demanded for money which he refused.

He was handcuffed and shot dead. They took away his phone, e-passport and other valuable documents. The relative of the victim was tortured and robbed of his belongings while a third victim, a South African, was also robbed.

Fortunately enough the brother ran away to call for help. Metro Police officers around the vicinity swiftly intervened although could not arrest the culprits. With their intervention, they were able to pick the number plate of the killers. A case has now been opened.

Former first lady Michelle Obama turned 54 today, celebrating her first birthday in Washington, D.C., since leaving the White House.

She started the day with flowers and a card, addressed “Miche,” from her husband, former President Barack Obama.

Lagos socialite and owner of popular Lagos club, Quilox, Shina Peller had a few words to share on the elections. While not totally ruling out the possibility of running for a post himself, he stressed the importance of having one’s PVC, joining a political party and making a change.

Shina Peller believes this is the time for us all to take responsibility and create the change that we seek.


He wrote on his Instagram page:

As we all know, election season in Nigeria is fast approaching and political gladiators are already building their war chests but the average young Nigerian is bothered less. It’s almost like a feeling of powerlessness and despair, most believe the processes have already been predetermined by the powers that be so why bother wasting time to get a voters card talk less of actually voting. The common notion is that the candidate with the largest war chest wins and we have heard many tales of people selling their votes for less than a dollar and a bag of chips.

One thing is certain though nobody is happy with the state of Nigeria today, most people who know me can vouch for the fact that I have never been interested in politics and I have never had an eye for it, but with the level of decadence in the country today I have been forced to change my mind.

I am very comfortable having recorded many successes in business over the years, it would be easier for me to just sit back and watch as I have been doing over the years, but what about the less privileged, the unemployed, the downtrodden? I need to be open about the fact that it’s the attitude of some people that has put the country in the situation it is in today and

it is finally time for us to take responsibility for the type of country we want to live in.
While I cannot say for certain if I will yield to the tremendous pressure on me to run for elective office from my constituency one thing I can say for certain is I will be actively involved in the political process going forward, I will no longer sit back and watch things go bad. I enjoin all young people to do the same, please register to vote, join a political party, run for office, be the change you seek, it’s time to stop ranting on social media and take positive actions.

The young people in Nigeria are the most powerful single block in the country today however the old guard try to divide us along ethnic, religious and cultural lines, but once we unite nobody can stop us.
