Lady angry with YouTube, shoots 3 staff before killing herself


Terrified employees fled as gunfire rang out at YouTube's sprawling headquarters in San Bruno, California, on Tuesday, prompting a massive police response and evacuation as victims were transported to nearby hospitals.


San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini said one female suspect was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Three people were transported to local hospitals with gunshot wounds.

Law enforcement sources identified the suspect as 38-year-old Nasim Aghdam. The father of suspect confirmed that his daughter is in YouTube posts that criticized them.


She had criticized the company for age-restricting, filtering and demonetizing her videos. The dad had called law enforcement in the San Diego area because he was concerned about her ire at YouTube.

Enugu state police command has arrested a man identified as Tochukwu Idu Chianugo, for allegedly beheading a woman in Enugu.

Susanna Enejere, the beheaded woman who is from Ugbene Ajima village in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, had gone to farm on March 26, 2018, but failed to return.

It was gathered by Southern City News that residents of the agrarian community reported the development to the police, even as they embarked on an intensive search for the missing woman.

Subsequently as the search progressed, Chianugo, was arrested for the woman’s disappearance. Upon his arrest, it emerged that he murdered and beheaded the woman.

Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, disclosed that Chianugo, who was apprehended through intelligence information, led police operatives to a bush where he committed the crime.

Amaraizu said the victim’s remains, including the severed head, was recovered on the scene of the crime.

“The lady, who was later identified as Sussana Enejere, had gone to the farm on that fateful day (March 26, 2018) and never came back.

The only female suspect, Gloria, was nabbed for harbouring Emmanuel her brother to enable him escape arrest.

Police have apprehended six persons who allegedly aided the escape of suspected political thugs from police custody in Kogi last Wednesday.

The suspected political thugs who accused Senator Dino Melaye of being their godfather had escaped from custody, before being arrested days later.

Saidu and other principal suspects were re-arrested in different locations and had been transferred to a detention centre in Abuja last Saturday.

Those who allegedly aided the escape of the suspects were paraded in Abuja by Kogi state police spokesperson Jimoh Moshood on Tuesday.

Their names are given as: John Beneche, 22, Seye Atowoju, 27, Danjuma Yunusa, 35, Egga Ochai, 50, Abbas Haruna, 30, and Gloria Audu, 28, sister to Emmanuel, one of the re-arrested prime suspects in Senator Dino Melaye’s arms case.

Moshood said in a statement that Beneche took four of the fugitives to a hideout at Ganaja Village, Lokoja, adding that Atowoju was arrested in the process of relocating Seidu, Salisu, Mohammed and Audu.

He further stated Yunusa accompanied the gang leader, Seidu, to the house of one Egga Ochai by water side, Lokoja.

“Ochai harboured Seidu in his house for two days and thereafter went to the village of the principal suspect in Dekina Local Government and brought one Abbas Haruna (his Mallam) to Lokoja.

“Haruna orchestrated his movement from Lokoja to his home town at Tafa Balewa Local Government Area in Bauchi State where both of them were arrested,” the statement said.

The only female suspect, Gloria, was nabbed for harbouring Emmanuel her brother, for some days to enable him to escape arrest.

“All suspects will be arraigned in court for prosecution on completion of investigation,” the police stated.

Controversies has continued to trail the death of a thirteen-year-old son of a policeman who hanged himself in Gombe.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer in Gombe State, DSP Mary Malum, the boy, identified as Muhammadu Al-Amin, was found hanging in his room.

Malum said that about 4 pm on Monday, Al-Amin’s father, Inspector Abdu Manu, who is attached to Criminal Investigation Bureau of Pantami Division, received a phone call from his wife that their 13-year-old son had been found dead in his room.

She said the father reported that the boy hanged himself with a rope after returning from Quranic school.

Malum said following the report, a team of policemen was immediately despatched to the scene and a photograph of the boy was taken.

She said the team recovered an exhibit rope as well as the corpse, which was taken to Gombe Specialist Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

She said the case was still being investigated and that further details would be made available after.

A resident of the area who pleaded not to be named told newsmen that the boy was seen about noon playing with his mates and that later, news of his demise spread in the evening.

Media personality Ik Osakioduwa recounts his near death experience has he narrowly escaped accident while waiting at a stop light in Lagos.

According to IK who was thankful that everyone involved got out safely, a speeding truck that wasn’t on the verge of slowing down crashed into the car near him, but he got out on time. His tweets reads;

The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has placed each returnees from Libya, on three months salaries.

A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Desmond Agbama, made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday said Oba Ewuare, announced this when he hosted some Libyan returnees in his palace.

Apart from the allowances, the Oba said the Oba Ewuare Foundation would provide the necessary tools/facilities for those who had gone through the various skills acquisition programmes.

He expressed disappointment over the mentality of the Nigerian youth, with the quest to make quick money without legitimate means, noting that youths must embrace agriculture and other legal businesses to excel.

The police in Edo state yesterday killed a dare devil kidnapper who terrorized the state for a long time. The kidnapper who has been on the wanted list for the police for years, was killed in a shootout, along Falonu street, off Country Home Motel Road, Ekae Quarter, GRA, Benin City yesterday afternoon.

The Police during the shootout, rescued a middle aged man kidnapped by the dreaded kidnapper and his gang members.

Troops have arrested a wanted Boko Haram suspect, Bubayi Isa, in Kalaa village in Adamawa State, North-east Nigeria. .

A statement by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, on Wednesday revealed that the arrest was made following a tip-off. .

Brigadier General Chukwu said the suspected terrorist was apprehended by troops of 23 Brigade attached to Operation Lafiya Dole on Tuesday in Hong LGA of the state. .

According to him, investigation reveals that Bubayi is the 37th suspect on the list of Boko Haram terrorists suspect published by the Nigerian Army Headquarters. .

The Army spokesman said the suspect was arrested with three others – Muhammad Buba, Abdullahi Abubakar, and Yakubu Abdullahi. .

He added that the suspects have also confessed of belonging to a Boko Haram terrorist group as well as their various involvement in the activities of the sect, following a preliminary investigation by the troops.

Twitter has issued a statement today saying that "Black Panther" is the the most-tweeted about movie of all time. The film, which stars Chadwick Boseman and is directed by Ryan Coogler, has amassed more than 35 million tweets.

A 32-year-old tech-billionaire is paying $10,000 to be killed so his brain can be preserved forever. .

Entrepreneur Sam Altman is one of 25 people on a waiting list at Nectome, a startup company that says they can upload the contents of a person's brain and store it on a computer.

But in exchange for eternally preserving his mind, the 32-year-old will have to die in a process similar to physician-assisted suicide - which is only legal in five US states.

The process he's signed up for involves embalming the brain so it can later be simulated onto a computer, according to the MIT Technology Review.

The customer, alive, is hooked up to a machine and then injected with Nectome's embalming chemicals. The company said the method is '100% fatal.' 'The user experience will be identical to physician assisted suicide,' Nectome's co-founder Robert McIntyre told the Review.

Akintunde Fadugba, a staff of the Centre for Information and Technology System, UNILAG, and Rasaq Akokia, a 400-level student, were, around 11pm on Friday, killed by some hoodlums on Opayemi Street, Abule Ijesha, Yaba, Lagos State.

According to a report by Punchng, the hoodlums, numbering six and reportedly led by the drug dealer, known to the police, had stormed the community on motorcycles and shot indiscriminately. .

Fadugba, who was said to be relaxing in front of a barber’s – a stone’s throw from his residence – was shot and died on the spot. It was learnt that Akokia was ill and had gone to buy drugs from a chemist on the street. .

He was returning home when a bullet hit him in the chest. A community leader, Mr. Omolaja Johnson, said the drug dealer had been unleashing terrors on the community since 2016 when he was sent out of the community. .

He said the mastermind had used some policemen to harass residents, adding that a petition was sent to the Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, against the policemen and the hoodlums. .

The spokesperson for the police in Lagos, SP Chike Oti, said the command had launched a manhunt for the hoodlums. He said, “There were four individuals who were known for negatively influencing children and youths in that community.

They had issues with the community and they were chased away. They regrouped and unleashed mayhem on the community, years after they were sent out. They killed a university worker and a student.”

Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, yesterday attacked trade unions in Nigeria, accusing them of always pursuing their narrow minded selfish interest without thinking of the good of the country.

Governor Nasir who was speaking at the ‘Governance Matters’ roundtable organised by Development Alternative Incorporation, DAI in Abuja, accused trade unions of always dragging their state chapters into the unnecessary fights with the Federal government.

Governor El-Rufai berated Nigerian doctors for going on strike despite taking an oath to always save lives. He said it is only in Nigeria that doctors go on strike.

The governor in his speech advocated for a cut down in the National minimum wage.

Trade Unions have never served the country well. They have been selfish and everything is about their narrow interests. In general, in Nigeria, trade unions have been a danger to our progress and I think they should be curtailed. The mistake we made as a country was placing trade unions in the Exclusive Legislative List. If the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has an issue with the Federal Government, then the state universities will go on strike too. In Kaduna, I warned the Kaduna State University, that if ‘you ever go on strike again because of somebody else, I will fire all of you. I think we need to do some things. First, take labour matters out of the Exclusive List because many of us are victims of agreements reached with ASUU by the Federal Government. The states were never part of such agreements.

Secondly, is the issue of minimum wage. Except we set a very low minimum wage, there will continue to be issues especially with states that do not have wide tax net. You cannot set the same minimum wage for Lagos and Jigawa. Also, we must apply the labour laws strictly. No work, no pay, because there has to be a trade dispute before anything strike.
