Larride i am the head of pension in my department, and i was at Laspec in February for Bond presentation to some retirees. Lagos State is owing Pension to retired civil servants. Gov Sanwo-Olu made a promise to clear all backlog before the end of his first term, but failed to do so. Again no be everything be agenda for here

I remember the time i did hydroxyl surgery at Luth in 2011, i was booked for surgery in March. I got to the hospital at the due date, but was told that my surgery has been shifted to May. From May it was shifted against to July and eventually to December when it was finally done. That was the same year Luth did its first Kidney transplant but the patient sadly died days after. If it was a terminal illness, i for don die since. Our hospitals are a total mess and Doctors are overwhelmed. No country is perfect but our politicians are just evil people....

Lagos is owing Pension and Gratuity of retirees, don't even argue this one cos na my field be that. Primary School, Secondary and Local Government and Mainstream retirees are been owed years of pension, Lagos State just started paying 2020 retired junior staff of Primary Schools on grade level 1 to 7. The money Tinubu and other former Governors collected as bogus pension parkage would have cleared all backlog on Pension in Lagos and also build some basic infrastructures too, no be everything be agenda for here....

But Nigeria is poor, it cannot pay Doctors good salary, it cannot build new standard hospital or fully remodel and equip existing one. Nigeria is broke so some State Governors cannot pay ₦30k minimum wage, many State including Lagos are owing backlog of Pension and Gratuity. Nigeria is broke so Govt must remove subsidy without putting in place palliative measures like fixing Electricity. Nigeria is broke only to the masses but not the Politicians..

I quoted what Adeleke said, i just added salt to make it sweet. Anybody that Tinubu assisted/supported to become Governor of a State, must surely pay remittance. The money he used to supported that candidate came from somewhere, majorly from Lagos State coffers....

I don’t understand the screenshot u attached. The statement appears as tho there’s a delay in payment of March salary in Osun and Adeleke is excusing the delayed payment on the need to compute accurately the arrears due to promoted staff .

My own is ; what happens to those who were not affected by the “promotion without pay” issue ? Does their salary need to be delayed when they will not be benefiting from whatever computation/reconciliation being done by the government ? Why not pay those ones their salary timely?

PS: I’m not against what Adeleke is doing o, I just try to put myself in the shoes of those who are not expecting any arrears payment and can only conclude that I’m being made to delay gratification that won’t come.

This is very normal in the civil service, Lagos State Government also delayed March 2023 salary due to computation and adjustment of Salary increment arrears. Adeleke is clearing promotion arrears of over 4years, and it will take some days to compute that and pay it with March salary. Civil Servants in Osun go dey thank God say Adeleke his their Governor......

Under Oyetola's Govt, Money meant for Osun was going to Ikoyi. Not surprised people who are from Osun State on this board have not commended Gov Adeleke for his good work so far, rather they are hoping Oletola returns to power through the Court to continue milking the State due to their party affiliation. They supported Buhari horrible Government for 7+ years, until February 15th 2023 when Tinubu accuse Buhari of trying to damage his chance of winning.
