In the Presidential election, all the results that were announced were announced by the RO of each state. Yakubu didn’t announce of result for any state, all he did was tabulate the result that each state RO announced and declared a winner based on those results.

How exactly is it the same thing with what the REC did?

They have also called on the SGF to report the actions of the REC since the REC was appointed by the President and approved by the National Assembly.

I don’t u understand in Adamawa on sunday . The RO is usually a professor(most likely a Vice Chancellor ) who will be appointed by INEC solely for the election process . The on the other hand is a staff of INEC heading their Adamawa office . It’s only the RO that can announce the results cos that’s what he’s appointed to do . That’s the reason u see INEC suspending the REC cos he’s their staff who acted out of line .

That section 149 angle will be thrashed at the Supreme Court , but before then I doubt the governor will leave office based on the illegally declared result , in fact if Finitri ends up winning after dilation is done; INEC will most likely give him certificate of return cos that’s the right thing to do.

The Governor will leave if the court did not upturn that illegality before May 29. As to your question, nothing happened to the RO, the Rec collected ₦2bn bribe (allegedly) and did what he did cos he felt the act gives him power to do it. See how in the video they were telling him not to make the announcement, but he still did like their would be no consequence.

The law actually allows the Rec to announce the result under special circumstances, like i said earlier the Rec took a leaf of Yakubu's play book to commit that illegality. Notice he hasn't been arrested, INEC only temporarily suspended him from office. He did what he did knowing that he would get away with it, and the looser would have to go seek redress at the court.

Just read that INEC would announce Adamawa result on Thursday, plenty drama go shele in the coming days all thanks to the useless Yakubu led INEC...

How does one declare a winner in an election without any figures/workings to show for it ? Then those favored by such illegality have gone to court and the court is literally siding with them . Even if the results are finally collated and Binani declared winner at this point , she will face serious insurmountable challenges while ruling the people due to INEC’s shiiit show. Just look at Imo state today.

Sadly the Federal High Court is right on this one, INEC cannot invalidate or void an Election that has been officially declared by its own officials. Similar to what Mahmud Yakubu did in declaring Tinubu President-Elect, even when other parties raised issue of him not meeting the requirement to be declared winner. The REC took a leaf of Yakubu's play book, and now only the courts starting with Election Tribunal can upturn Binani's fraudulent victory. I wanted her to win, but INEC has messed up this Electoral process so bad. Also she will become a puppet and controlled by the powerful politicians that are behind this fraud and allegedly paid the REC ₦2bn to get that declaration.
