Why should the greatest goal scorer on the planet add pressing to his resumé? Which other prolific goal scorer was pressing? Did Ibra press? How was Mourinho able to build a team around him to thrive? Does Lewandowski press? Even Pep said he could never ask Messi to press because he needed him fresh and clear headed when they have the ball in the opponent’s box.

A coach must show favoritism to his best players. Romario would miss training and bed pröstitutes throughout the week and on the day of the game, he would outperform those that didn’t miss training. He has more pace and energy than Dalot who is the alternative, especially recovery pace. I won't be surprised if AWB and even Shaw keep their shirts.
Shaw has talent but zero inner motivation/drive. We saw the way he rightfully benched Telles last season when he felt threatened. Laziness is his problem not lack of ability.

The ones that stylistically do not suit Rangnick are Maguire, Pogba, Mata, Matic, Ronaldo. Ronaldo has GOUT saving grace.

I watch Ajax in the UCL and I see a team that is well coached, their positional awareness is top notch, they press as a unit...One thing I know is that a team's that presses as a unit attacks and defends as one stands a good chance of ending the season with a trophy...

Another plus for Erik ten Hag is the fact that he has lost a lot of good players and still managed to build a formidable team, that's the mark of a top coach...

On the flip side, I am not sure if he'll be able to deal with the egos we parade but the pros outdo the cons...
