Send him on loan to that our sister club in Switzerland. I have said this before, as a striker he needs to reach at least 21/22 before he can come up to speed as a premier league player. He still have 3/4 years to catch up.
I support a loan move too, but to a team that would give him regular football and help him develop properly.

Thoughts on Chido..

I think he should continue with the under 18's Nd not the first team..

He will just be chopping bench for the whole season
if United sign Sesko or Watkins and Rasmus stays, Obi will join the under 21 next season...

Like i said earlier preseason is not meant mainly to show fans who is good or bad. That is secondary. The main goal is to get players ready for the season and for the coaching staff to see who is ready amongst the other players.

Williams would not have had any minutes as well if Cunha, Zirkzee, or Mbeumo were fit. Kone on the other hand is battling Case, Mainoo, Bruno, Ugarte, Collyer for minutes. I have read that the coaching staff have given him extra training sessions away from the rest of the team to build up his strength first.

The coaches have assessed him and believe he needs some extra strength and conditioning before getting minutes. His time will come and should not be at the detriment of getting minutes for those the coach believes can help the team right now.

Showing you how good he is should be secondary in the grand scheme of things. It is the coaching staff that will determine when he is ready.
If he is being left out due to fitness concern, then that's fine. Me want to see him play and pre-season is a good avenue to give all players chance to stake their claim. I am sure a lot of fans also want to see him play

The most important thing in the preseason is for the manager to get the 1st team players up to speed and unfortunately for Kone that midfield is already choked with players Amorim needs to give minutes to get them up to speed before Kone. Showing us his level is less important than showing the manager (and he gets to do that in training every day against the senior pros).

He will get his chance when they feel he is ready. The coaching staff are seeing him in training on a daily basis and most likely have an idea where he is at. Bruno, Mainoo, Collyer, Ugarte, Casemiro need those minutes more but i believe Kone will get some minutes in the next couple of games.
Is he also bring Fredericson, Mantato, Williams upto speed for the first team next season? Is Collyer even better than Kone? Two straight matches and Kone didn't get to play as a sub, Amorim should give him playing time make some of us see how good or bad he is..

Amorim should give Kone a chance to show us how good or bad a player he is. Keeping on the bench for pre-season games makes no sense.

Looks like it's Sesko then.
I was once a Sesko fanatic, i wanted United to sign him up during Ole's term when we missed out on Haaland. But i would pick Watkins over him now cos he isn't that clinical, plus we have a lethal Chido-Obi Martins coming through. I hope Sesko does well and doesn't turn another Trashmus...

The problem for me is that all these accolades are against Championship opposition.

If it was a 19yr old boy doing all these I would say there is big potential for improvement but as a 23 yr old I am suspicious of him. Apart from Buendia and Benrahma there have been many players that dominated the Championship in their 20s and moved to the EPL and could not replicate it.

If funds are so limited i would buy Baleba this season and go for a CF next season.

Baleba and Mainoo first choice CM. Ugarte and Case 2nd choice. Bruno, Mbeumo, Cunha can rotate in attack.

I will check his videos sha but just remember the gap between Championship and EPL.
Yeah you are right about the gap, plus mentality of the player also play a part to their success. Baleba would be better suited to our two man midfield system, but Brighton will skin United for him that's for sure. Let them sha try improve that midfield before season starts..

How well have you watched this Hackney?
He is 23 and now only started making waves in the Championship. That is a red flag

I remember how people were hyping Buendia and Benrahma because of their exploits in the Championship only for them to fail to match that hype in the EPL.
I have seen him play few times as i follow borough cos of Carrick, the boy is good at progressing the ball and also good with passing. He is not the very best we can get but on the ball he is better than what we correctly have...

Amorim should press the board to sign him good midfielders in addition to a striker, we should not rely on Casemiro and Bruno next season.. The board should look at that Hayden Hackney kid if other targets are too expensive...

Have you seen him play a live match? Not short clips of his skills and goals? When you do that, you’ll get your answer.
No i haven't, but we won't know if he is good enough without giving him a chance. The Baleba people are talking about today would not be in discussion if Brighton didn't give him a chance.

Even Mainoo needs to improve his pace to feature prominently in that midfield.

......first match is enough to tell you that we will suffer a bit. Let’s hope tomorrow's match gonna be different.
We should have signed proper technical mobile DM and a CM, the current midfielders are too slow to join attack when we are in the offensive (except Mainoo) and also slow when we need to defend.
He said he is happy to start the season with the current squad, so let's see how the first few games of the season go...

Why is Amorim still saying we will suffer? Is this his own way to showing his displeasure at the board for not signing more players, or he is already preparing excuses just incase.
If he needs more players let him say it at the pressers, instead this nonsense "we will suffer" bullcrap. No excuse next season...

Hayden Hackney looks like a good ball carrier, he is 23years old and would fit the system. I think we can get him from Middlesbrough for little fee...

Making the right decision is still a very big problem for them in the final third. We can't create chances or even trouble their keeper if they keep making the wrong decisions
We will have to agree at some point that 343 is not working for us, or maybe it could work with Mbeumo on the right and a big strong bully striker like Aghehowa.

......not impressed with first half. Leon is completely off and caught ball-watching more than once. Shaw shouldn't be starting as LCB if Heaven is fit. Mazraoui shouldn't be starting as RCB too, if Yoro is fit.

Bruno should forget attacking role. He should be pairing with either Mainoo or Ugarte/Casemiro. We need a solid GK asap!
I wanted Bruno sold because i didn't see him fitting into the system judging from last season, but United rejected £100m for him because Amorim didn't want him to leave. Bruno is an attacking midfielder in a 433 or 4231 formation, playing him in central midfield will not work in my opinion...

I think Amorim is the one pushing for the signing of Mbeumo, cos i don't understand why the club is focus on him and not looking elsewhere. That desperation to get him is why Brentford is raising his fee, just like Ajax scammed United for Antony cos bald fraud refused to go for alternative..
