Brother, you should learn to be current on latest happenings... Note 7 first had this issue last year, Note 8 was better, and this note 9 have just had its first explosion complaint. And during the launch event that was held a few weeks ago DJ Koh assured that the Note 9 won't claim a story similar to the note 7 downfall.

Recently, an American Galaxy Note 9 user reported that the phone exploded inside her purse. Reporting from New York Post, Diane Chung sued Samsung regarding the disgraceful explosion of her Samsung Galaxy Note right inside her purse. She filled a lawsuit against the company and she is currently waiting for the court’s judgement


Diane Chung, a real estate agent in New York filed a report where it sued tech giant Samsung after her $1,000 supposedly fire-proof Galaxy Note 9 reportedly caught fire inside her purse earlier this month.

The New York Post reported that the woman claimed in her lawsuit that she was using on her new phone when it suddenly it became ‘extremely hot’. The sudden heat-up made Chung to stop using the device and keep it in her purse. Soon after, she heard a ‘whistling and screeching sound’ and noticed a ‘thick smoke’ coming from her purse.


She further said that she removed the phone by emptying her purse onto an elevator floor and also allegedly burning her fingers. Being ‘extremely panicked’, Chung started pushing the elevator buttons since the think smoke was making it hard to see

Upon reaching the lobby, she kicked the phone out, but even that didn’t stop the fire until a passerby picked up the phone with a cloth and placed it into a bucket of water.

Describing the incident as ‘traumatic’, Chung is now demanding unspecified amount of damages from Samsung of her ruined contents in the bag. Chung also called the phone ‘defective’ and asked for a restraining order that bans the sale of Galaxy Note 9 devices.

Moreover, during the galaxy note 9 launch Samsung CEO DJ Koh said, “The battery in the Galaxy Note 9 is safer than ever. Users do not have to worry about the batteries anymore.”

Regarding this incident, Samsung stated, “Samsung takes customer safety very seriously and we stand behind the quality of the millions of Galaxy devices in use in the United States. We have not received any reports of similar incidents involving a Galaxy Note 9 device and we are investigating the matter.”

Huawei’s Mate 9 is a phablet that tries to squeeze a monster screen into a not-quite-so monster body and mostly succeeds.

Huawei’s Mate series - its big screened but until recently, niche phablet - has been around for a while. The Mate 9 is the latest and greatest, and while it doesn’t look much different from the outside than its predecessor the Mate 8, it’s now more widely available than ever and targeting that vacant spot at the top of the phablet tree.

The Mate 9 doesn’t share much in the way of design likeness to Huawei’s flagship P9. The front is pretty plain: a screen with tiny bezels either side with a top bar containing the earpiece speaker and selfie camera and the bottom bar just containing the Huawei logo.

It’s got one of the highest screen-to-body ratios of any smartphone available, which is good, because the screen really is ginormous at 5.9in. There have been a few devices with larger screens, but not many. For instance, Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus and Google’s Pixel XL have 5.5in screens, while Samsung’s Note series topped out at 5.7in on the diagonal.

The curved aluminium back and chamfered edges make it a lot easier to hold on to the Mate 9 than you might expect. I say easier, because it certainly isn’t as easy to use as a normal, non-monster smartphone such as the Galaxy S7 or Huawei P9.

At 7.9mm thick, the Mate 9 is relatively thin, and even at 78.9mm wide it’s relatively narrow, but one thing it certainly isn’t is light. It weighs 190g, is solidly built and with heft.

There’s no getting over this is a bigger-than-big smartphone. For comparison, the 5.5in iPhone 7 Plus is 7.3mm thick, 77.9mm wide and weighs 188g, while Google’s Pixel XL is 8.5mm thick, 75.7mm wide and 168g.

The 5.9in screen is surprisingly good for a 1080p screen. Most smartphones this size have higher resolution screens so that they have higher pixel densities - the more pixels the sharper the screen.

You can certainly see the difference; the Mate 9’s screen is just not as pin-sharp as the Pixel XL’s screen for instance. But colour reproduction is good, so are the viewing angles and brightness.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- People upset by the idea of Donald Trump's presidency filled the streets Wednesday in cities across America. They burned flags, climbed buildings and screamed expletives. Some protests didn't wrap up until early Thursday morning.

According to ABC News reports, a total of 120 people were arrested at demonstrations across the nation. Five people were arrested in Chicago, 65 people were arrested in New York City, 13 people were arrested in Los Angeles, 30 people were arrested in Oakland and ten people were arrested in Richmond, Va.

The five protesters arrested in Chicago were charged with misdemeanors, police said. A 17-year-old boy, of north suburban Glenview, was charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Ethan Boner, 21, of north suburban Morton Grove, was charged with criminal trespass. Ezekiel Givens III, 21, of the Far North Side of Chicago, was charged with reckless conduct. Marc D. Wilkinson, 27, of far southwest suburban Ottawa, was charged with obstructing traffic. Leo D. Dorsey, 26, was charged with obstructing traffic.


Trump Tower in Chicago, located at North Wabash Avenue and the Chicago River, has become an epicenter for demonstrating the anger and angst many people feel regarding the president-elect.

"Obviously I respect Donald Trump as my president moving forward, but you can still be mad about things and voice your opinion," said Adam Kuhn, a Trump protester.

Thousands gathered in front of the tower Wednesday afternoon. Jason Rogers, another Trump protester, said for the most part, the protest was peaceful. But things did get physical at times. Video showed marchers that pushed up against Chicago police on foot and on horses.

After police asked the group to move to the corner of North Wabash Avenue and West Wacker Drive, they started marching and were joined by two other groups. CPD Communications Director Anthony Guglielmi said at that point, the crowd was estimated to be between 1,800 and 2,000 people.

Thousands of people have taken to the streets across western America to protest against Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton in the US presidential election.

Cities in California, Oregon and Washington all witnessed angry demonstrations, with objects being set alight and effigies burned.

Up to 1,500 people gathered at the University of California in Los Angeles in the early hours to express their anger and sadness at the shock result.

Elsewhere in the state, tyres and rubbish trucks were reportedly set alight and windows smashed as Californians, who overwhelmingly backed Ms Clinton, reacted to the news that Mr Trump looked set to become their next president.

Some marched through the city chanting anti-Trump slogans. A crown at the University of California Santa Barbara shouted: “Not my president. Not my president.”, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Protester N.J. Omorogieva told the newspaper she was “heartbroken” by the result, saying she joined the demonstration “to give hugs to people who were overcome by devastation”.

BATTERY TYPE

What type of battery does your smartphone users for its daily operation?

There are actually two major types of battery,  which are;

The Lithium ion and Nickel-based batteries.

But the most used battery type of nowadays is the Lithium ion battery.

The Nickel-based battery has since been extinct since the early 2000s.


But what is the major difference between these two batteries?

The Nickel-based battery exhibits a Cyclic memory, and when it is not fully charged, it might forget its normal holding capacity and remember the last point to which it was recently charged, thereby taking that point as its peak (highest) capacity.


But in the case of Lithium ion batteries, the reverse is the case. Compared to Nickel-based battery, Lithium ion batteries are often of better lifespan and are durable and they are easily recharged rapidly with speed. But see what doesn't support the health of Lithium batteries.


HEAT

Abnormal increase in temperature are non-friendly to Lithium ion and Lithium Polymer (another type of lithium battey) batteries.

The temperature at which a battery is capable of receiving charges is between 32°F to 113°F, and when below 32°F, no charges occurs


A smartphone with a Lithium battery, when in use,  discharges at temperatures far below freezing point (as low as -4°F). And when a battery made with lithium ion is charging, its temperature gets warmer, and when there is an increase in temperature, the faster it charges. And when it reaches its charging limit, it will then disperse other incoming power as heat.


But charging your smartphone overnight becomes a problem when the battery gets to its limit and is unable to disperse other incoming power as heat.
