Is no one going to talk about the woman's mathematical skills? Some will label her as illiterate but she sabi book maths pass many graduates |
I can only but admire you @Op, growing up i always wanted to be a farmer and I dreamed of being a commercial farmer. But for a late career change into medicine, I would have been a farmer. Still happy where I am. Would go back into farming when I retire from the medical profession. 🤞 🤞 |
seborrhic:Bros e show say you no dey watch the game. Palmer was to start but e get small niggle before the game, thats why Estevao is playing. Tosin is the best passer in this team in the absence of Palmer. He advances ball and all recycled ball goes to him.........while I was typing, Pedro don score and West Ham sef score again thoughna offside. Lets grab popcorn and enjoy the game as neutrals cos this game go sweet. |
chaloskyx:They may be IP dependent sha. The first one is my preferred, live sky sport streaming, no time delays
|
God forbid that Ikwo LGA where I did my NYSC. Worked at the general hospital and it was a norm to treat assault victims. If no be boundary dispute, na domestic violence. I write popo report taya. |
DrAda:On point. And to think this same Hamzat used to form 'fighter for the people', now wey hand wan touch am, he run go CHEW for bed rest. That's why I always look at these media exposed human rights activists with scepticism, including that one in Abuja who calls him self Ordinary President or whatever his name is. |
DrAda:Yeah, should defo be a wide bore. When I used to work in Paeds, I'd get a 20G canula in children above 10yrs if there was a risk of shock, either GI or sepsis. Needless to say I saw a lot of shock when I practiced in rural naija. That guy no shock anything, he is just on bed rest ![]() |
DrAda:It would be difficult to deduce much from a snapshot. A still may not demonstrate the bubbles so I wouldn't judge from that. However , we don't know if that canula is actually in situ, for all we know it may just have been plastered over his hand. I always question the use of a size 22G canula on an adult especially when the working diagnosis is 'shock'. At the least, a 20G canula would be appropriate though its not particularly wide bore. Anyway na naija, the more you look....... |
Harddiskng:Bang on, absolutely agree with you. So many questions needs answers to in this case. Be interesting to see how it all unfolds. |
Harddiskng:I agree with you and many men would do so too because sadly, many have been victims of false accusations. There are several permutations that can be got from this story, they all could be correct and nothing should be taken at face value. They say the devil is in the detail, and it couldn't be truer in this case. Leaving so much open ended detail out there, she has exposed herself to being picked apart in court by a good lawyer. My 10kobo says she didn't consult a lawyer before drafting this story. |
Rape is condemnable and should be taken very serious. It's really hard for single mothers. My worry is that she has given a very robust public statement and this could backfire. It may seem that her strategy is to gain public sympathy which she definitely will but having openly dragged several colleagues into this including Dami, Francisca & Odera, they willl have to be named in court documents as they automatically become complicit & their first instincts as women will be to defend themselves rather than be objective. They should have only been named in police statements. Putting their private numbers out in public also leaves them exposed. I hope she doesn't bungle this case already. Very likely she will get a gofundme and japa while fighting the case from abroad. I hope justice is done and this doesn't turn out to be a false accusation. |
Quite a weighty allegation with lots of detail, even name dropped with numbers. As they say, there are 2 sides to a story and it would be preposterous to judge without hearing the other side of the story. Lessons to learn: 1. If you are an alcohol light head, don't try to keep up with the Jones at social function, except you are under the care of a responsible adult. Jameson is 40% alcohol, thats way too much if you're not an experienced drinker. 2. Golden rule of social functions: never ever leave your drink and walk away. If you do, do not go back to it. If her narrative is right, her drink may have been spiked with a date rape drug. I also hope she didn't shower before going to Island Maternity , else the case would be dead on arrival and would only be judged on her word against mine, even if CCTV showed him taking her to the hotel. |
Trump was lucky he tilted his head at the right time in his symbolic way. That video of bloodied Trump shaking his fist in defiance at the crowd has won him the election. But if anyone has been following the campaigns, the left has been calling for Trump's assassination since the Supreme Court decision. Biden also denied the secret service request for added protection for Trump & RFK Jnr This is no surprise. |
Jackanda1:My thoughts too. Naptu2 is experienced enough to know not to copy and paste so much information, including lots of repetition. |
Shurtman79:You're spot on. Even black Africans who shine in Europe become so flat when playing in the national team. |
Watching this Euros makes me wonder when African football will ever be pleasant to the eye. Even Serbia vs Slovenia, how they move the ball and make the right passes makes the game easy to watch. African football needs to step up, no one would waste precious 90mins for hoof-ball and "all physicality no guile". |
FreeStuffsNG:Broski, all this your shalaye is off point and off topic. Don't hide your misrepresentation of a father's advice in long winding talk. The advise is clear and simple. If you want to simp, do so and advise your son accordingly. |
SonofElElyonRet:Guess what? Rich ppl do not need to know how poor or needy you are to be of help, it's the not so rich who count their pennies and set up committees to find out those who are truly poor. When philanthropists build schools or set up boreholes, they don't specify who to use it. Both the poor and the not so poor would benefit. Look at thriving societies in the West, North Africa and Middle East where there is social welfare for all, the rich more often than not rightly refuse freebies because they feel they don't need it. Societies like these tend to be largely egalitarian. If you look closely, I bet there would be not a few persons who declined the freebies from Burna because they can pay their own bills. Not everyone wants to be in anyone's debt when they can afford their own stuff. UPTH and Rivers state by extension isn't filled up with only poor people. |
SonofElElyonRet:When rain falls, it falls on the farm of both the poor & rich, the just and wicked. When you make your money and you wish to show kindness, you can ask for people's account balance and declaration of assets before you part with your money. |
RushManni:He could be sent to jail at the sentencing in July. He will appeal. Usually there is a stay of execution pending the determination of appeal but that is at the discretion of the sentencing judge. Knowing this Judge's antecedents, he may not wave jail before appeal is determined. If Trump wins the election, he can't pardon himself as this isn't a federal trial but a state's. Only the Governor of The State of New York can grant a pardon to a state felon. The governor is democrat..........lol. This will galvanise Trump's base as they're convinced he is being witch-hunted. My opinion: He would be placed on probation considering his social standing, he has no priors & the crimes were misdemeanors. It would also be a challenge for the secret service providing security for him if he was sent to jail. |
America has made it acceptable for political persecutions in the run up to elections, even legitimising it with instruments of the judiciary. If it happened in Africa, the world would blow whistle and 'make some noise' |
Kyng1:That's Molluscum Contagiosum, very likely the MCV2 subtype. Pretty aggressive and commoner in those who have sexual contact. Also seen in HIV (I hope you have been tested). No amount of antibiotic and injections will cure it, it's a viral illness. To Confirm, you need a swab test. Have a read about it and approach your doctor for treatment options. Usually when I see ppl with this, treatment is individualised and based on what is avaialable in the locality. So see your doctor for treatment options. |
happney65:Sir, If only you were a student of history and you understand the fabrics of what makes the US a thriving capitalist economy. It was a similar lawsuit in the 1990s against Microsoft that broke their hegemony on the market, paving the way for the likes of Apple inc to spring up and thrive. The Shernan antitrust act was passed for a reason. Americans still have the right to the First Amendment but behind what you see and know on the surface market is a really dark and manipulative world in Silicon Valley and Wallstreet. |
DeepSight:Again my friend, you have to read between the lines which was my opening phrase in the quoted text. US all but left NATO in Trump's first tenure, he was even quoted as saying to NATO leaders, "US will not come to your aide". Have you listened to John Bolton when he discussed the mad decisions Trump made including pulling the carpet under NATO? Do you also know about the "Trump-proof" NATO bill passed in Congress Oct 2023 which makes it near impossible for any president to unilaterally withdraw from NATO? Global politics is just an iceberg, what we see on the surface is just a fraction of reality. |
Read between the lines people, the German Ministry of Defence leaked this to the media, guess why? They want more funding. In Trump's first tenure, he kept pushing for NATO to increase defence spending up to the 2% GDP as per NATO agreement. They didn't. He took the US out of NATO. With his landslide win in IOWA, he is a shoehorn for the Rep ticket, if he wins and takes US out of NATO again, guess what? The prospect of Russ vs NATO wouldn't be a mismatch anymore. |
There is no prophecy here, only suggestions and advice. We need to shake off the shackles of advice coated as prophecies, a lot of us are slaves to religion hence we're always held captive by our slave masters who only seem intelligent and supernatural cos we can't be bothered to read the bible. Prophecies in the bible were never ambiguous, they were spoken with boldness cos they heard clearly from God. |
You earn 33k and you feel its wise to give a tenth of it to your pastor or priest (cos that is what it is) who is way better off than you, I'm sorry that is crass ignorance. People should be wise with the times. Even bible said in Prov 22:16, if you give to the rich, you will come to poverty. Wisdom is profitable to instruct. If you carry church for head, you will be the ones bible was referring to in the phrase: " the poor will always be among you". I also expect corps members and students alike to live as a community, cook together to save cost. Its not a year to spread your wings and go after babes who are saving their money while you do the heavy lifting. |
Sad. Young celebrity who has outpaced himself. There is a reason celebrities who rise so rapidly in wealth have a dedicated driver take them around, its to avoid incidents like this. E get why drivers in his age and career group have very expensive insurance premiums abroad. Merc is a top of the mid- range SUV with a powerful torque, in the wrong hands, it's a crash waiting to happen. Good thing is that the occupants would most likely escape with not more than a scratch cos it has excellent internal protection. |
6ixVille:It's up to you really, financial advisers say no more than 3months but consider your priorities: Commute to work, environment, how much disposable income you have, extra earnings and quality of life. Before I bought my house, I rented with equivalent of 4months salary. I could get something similar for half the price but my priorities were quality of life, environment and commute. |
@ikpemhiTG Not going to be easy for her to cope with a 5month old baby going into the Winter as she would need a child minder to tend the baby when she is away at work. Child minders are expensive and can cost nkrth of £1k per month. Starting a new job as paramedic, she would need to go through a lot of training to get used to the system here as paramedics are first responders. I would suggest the baby stays with your mum or her mum, by summer she should have gotten stable enough to invite you and the baby. Anything beyond the summer of 2024 would be concerning, let me put it like that, I'm sure you understand |
Long overdue. Lots of us in the diaspora feel shut out, especially when we contribute so much to the country's economy through diaspora remittance. The country has a long way to go in ensuring diaspora votes becomes realistic as I can't imagine anyone travelling across the country to vote in London, DC or Ottawa. Basically, we have to get to electronic voting or allow us mail in our ballots to the High Commission. |
The African re-awakening has to continue, unfortunately its coming from the boots because our democratically elected leaders are nothing but pawns in the Westernern chess game. France has no natural resource but has ruthlessley plundered Africa for decades and continues to do so. The scale is so bewildering even for the 21st century. The Congo has to do same and expel Belgium & their co-looters. The irony with Niger is Americans also have a base in Niger but those ones have small sense, they run it in partnership with Nigeriens |
