Hello peeps this Delta promo thingy is real. As PrinceAde said, on Wakanow it goes for N177k but if you call Delta you pay N170. Na so i just pay for my ticket sharp sharp!! No dulling ohh grin!! Same ticket was going for N295k last night. You have to act fast 'cos they couldn't guarantee it will still be available after 12pm. Makes sense to save on the cost of ticket especially since we have to pay much more to buy dollars.

@ochioraumu
My heart really goes out to you. I can't even begin to imagine how upset you are about the whole situation. I believe your issues were all as a result of your uncle. Sometimes, Nigerians in the US can be quite petty and over the littlest things. I know of a lady who called immigration to report her friend's husband. His visa had expired and as a result he got deported back to Nigeria. Simply because she had a little misunderstanding with her friend. Now the family is torn apart and going through trauma.

Just to encourage you though, if there is one thing i have learnt, with prayer and persistence you will prevail. A colleague of mine wanted to pull a fast one many years back when her brother won the visa lottery. Her brother claimed she was his wife and they presented fake wedding photos and certificates at the embassy. They got caught and she got banned. After years of repeated denials, she eventually was granted a one month visa and then subsequently 2 yrs multiple. Now she travels to the US like it's her second home.

I believe your case shouldn't even be that difficult since you were quite honest during your visa interview. Chicago POE is quite notorious and we have had quite a few people share their nasty experiences here. My advise to you; relax, take care of yourself and have your baby before taking next steps. It will be well

Flowers:
Am finally back home with my baby after 7 weeks. I met many nairalanders and they were helpful. Dr. Fagbohun was really nice, didn't like one of his doctors that took the delivery. For those considering him, he's very experienced, friendly and kind but very busy and therefore your appointment with him will be so brief. He doesn't take all the child delivery as he has other doctors assisting him. The services in Oakbend was fantastic, nice nurses who were very responsive. I got lots of freebies for baby like milk, diaper, wipes, pacifier, blanket, toiletries to mention a few. Favor on all sides. Thanks to all that helped to make this journey a success. In conclusion it was a beautiful experience.
Congrats Flowers and welcome back home.Hope you and your baby are doing great. Can you please PM me the details of the pediatrician you used as my wife will be birthing in Oakbend in May? Thanks!!

Hi everybody. I have been a silent follower of this thread for a while now and must say I have benefited immensely as a result. This thread should be officially labeled the “Holy Grail” for all US bound expecting parents. The amount of information is simply mind boggling.

It will be sinful for me to ask my question without first saluting all the active members of this forum who have contributed to this thread either by sharing their personal experiences (VO, POE, airline, hospital etc), offered advice and guidance to the confused (like yours truly), shared contacts details of critical resources (doctors, hospitals) etc. I doff my hat to you all!!

That said, I need you advice on a dicey matter. My wife was granted a 2 year B1/B2 visa in April 2013 on the basis that she was accompanying me for a business trip. During her interview, the VO asked if she was pregnant and she replied that she wasn't which was true. We traveled as planned in July last year and spent 3 weeks. She eventually got pregnant in August and is due mid May 2015. She plans to travel for childbirth towards the end of March. Her visa will be expiring on the 14th of April 2015 (about 3 wks after her arrival).

My question is this, should she?
A. Travel using her current visa.
B. Renew her visa before traveling

According to the information on the UStraveldocs website, she should be able to travel with her current visa though it will be expiring shortly afterwards. However, I am a bit nervous about this because I fear a heartless CBP officer might capitalize on this as a basis to refuse her entry.

On the other hand, I am skeptical about renewing her visa before she travels as I do not want to rock the boat. Even though the probability of a denial is low, there is always a possibility it might happen. Some members have experienced this before and shared on this forum

I seriously need to know your opinions/advice on our dilemma. Please forgive my long post. God bless
