Since he is not from a particular zone, they will soon come out to explain how they have already achieved 20th generation (as in 20G) network about 100 yrs ago.

Why you dey give am answer na. Just leave me and him, he will put himself in a corner that he can't get out.

Just like this clown I responded to above arguing what he doesn't know. Though he claim to be in the army.

Heading a Unit is norms dat any officer fitted can be chosen bt in the term of appointment of Maj Gens, d DSSC are always excluding. Mention two maj gens dat reached dat peak before. I'm enjoying this with u.
Pls what's the difference between heading a unit and appointment to head a unit? Or are you saying one can head a unit without being appointed to that effect? Pls explain.

Meanwhile, this woman was the head army medical corps, I don't know if her own was not by appointment.

Meanwhile, I will call a friend tommorow and will get more than the number you requested for. I don't understand what you mean by dssc major generals are excluded when it comes to appointment. As in they are just major Generals in the army, no appointment but just there as major generals. Pls what exactly do you mean by that?

Commodore is just an equivalent of a Colonel in the Army, are you saying that Man is too young to be Colonel in the Army?
These people join the military early and rise through the rank via training, battles and what have you.
A friend of mine who joined the US Navy at a rank of Petty something has an MBA,when I saw the group picture of the commander of his unit, she is a female in her late 20's .and he told me they usually join early (16-18yrs)
As per bolded, I give up. Pls do your findings before coming to public forum.

Hint: A navy captain is equivalent to army colonel, find the rest on your own.

Again, there is nowhere in the world you join the navy as petty officer. A petty officer is same as staff sergeant in the army, pls go and find out.

The short Man besides him is also an officer, while the one with the Yellow bar is a Commodore, the one besides him most likely senior him.
He has a star to his Collar which indicates he's equivalent to a brigadier in the Army,I don't know what its called in the Navy
Officers carry their ranks on shoulders. There is just one officer in the picture, though I don't know his rank. But certainly he is not a commodore because that is just 3 stripes. What do you say of officers with 4 stripes? Google the rank insignia of navy officers. Besides, he is too young to be a commodore.

Whether godfatherism or nt, can appointment of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) be given to a DSSC, SSC officer or regular officer? Sure it must go to a Regular officer dat went to NDA. A DSSC officer av never been given such appointment before. Wake up man
Appointment of service chiefs is done by the president and that is highly political. If the president decides to appoint a dssc officer, pls who will stop him? I understand the present CAS is even a dssc officer, why not go and remove him because he is not NDA graduate?

Besides, we are not even talking about service chiefs, what we are talking about is postings for officers below the rank of COAS/CNS/CAS. If for instance the service chief decides to appoint a dssc officer to head a unit, who will stop him? That is where godfatherism matters.

Lolz... Imagine this guy o, u want to tell me abt godfatherism in the military? That's norms for pple like u that like eye service.
You missed the point.

You were making noise about who gets juicy posting and who doesn't get, trying to use the type of commission as a determinant, hence my question.

The exact point is that godfatherism is the koko and doesn't depend on the type of officer.

Brigadier General is the highest you can get to in the Army if you joined through short service.

You are right though, a graduate of NDA starts as a second Lt. same which is given to a graduate convert. But their rate of promotion is not the same. Also, a short service retires on Brig. General (1 star) while the NDA graduate is the only one that can get to Lt. Gen which is above a major Gen. (well, except you overthrow the govt, and become the president even as a mere Major you can make yourself a full general or even a field marshal as Abacha wanted to appoint himself to)
Did those female officers join the military as regular officers?

I mean the maj gen and rear admiral whose pics are attached to this comment you just quoted.

No you're wrong.. The authority you're talking about is different...

A DSSC "CANNOT" command soldiers. It's limited. That authority is meant for the SSC people.. SSC are the real soldiers. You'd fear a captain Combatant than you'd fear a captain doctor.
You obviously don't know the military.

Infact, you are not even getting the nomenclature properly.

Both ssc and dssc are short service officers, get this into your skull.

NewDelhi:
I think he's right.

A SSC captain or major is different from their DSSC counterpart.

SSC are combatants and usually in the infantry or artilery. DSSC are usually in the corps. Doctors (Health,) , education ( teachers at NDA or these military secondary schools), accounts , engineering, law (military police ) etc.

That's what I think.. and their power different. SSC commands more than their DSSC counterpart.
You obviously don't know the military.

Both ssc and dssc are short service.

Short Service Combatants. - SSC
Direct Short Service Course - DSSC

Perhaps you are mistaking the NDA graduates for SSC. They call them Regular Officers.

NewDelhi:
So I have some questions to ask.

Does that mean a captain combatant (ssc) is different from a captain dssc (let's say medical or accounts)
Do they both have the same power and can a dssc officer who is in the medicals or law give orders to soldiers ? I mean arranging them for one dirty operation or to deal with someone ? grin

Cc AntiBalaka TRIGI.TIS
They both have same status. They both have authority over soldiers, no difference.

The only difference between the two is if the dssc did not convert and the only effect is that he will retire after 15 yrs.

Maimunat was married to Abdulwahab.
He beat her at every opportunity he got till she decided she had had enough and ran back to her parent's house.

Two months later, Abdulwahab was in her parents home with the neighborhood's Imam; his family and some neighbors to plead for forgiveness and ask her back.

He said the separation had made him realize his life was worthless without Maimunat in it.
He even cried and offered to be beaten up as atonement for all his wrongs.

Her family were moved by his repentance and his sincerity so they convinced Maimunat who was already in an affair with me to go back to him.
She did; just to save face for her family.

Two weeks later.
We heard Maimunat was dead from a broken neck.
All thanks to Abdulwahab who claimed he was trying to massage her neck after she complained of an ache in it.

I hope this story means something to any Nigerian hoping to stay back in South Africa after reading and witnessing this charade of an apology.

NwekeUG:
During the proceedings of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal led by Mohammed Garba, on Wednesday, a lot of issues were treated.

On the issue of Buhari's certificate, the tribunal ruled that President Buhari is qualified to contest the election stating that Buhari's certificate from the Nigeria military is higher than the Secondary School Certificate stated as a minimum academic requirement for the election by the constitution.

On the issue of INEC Server, it ruled that the manual provided by INEC made no room for the electronic transmission of the results; and that smart card cannot take the place of the voters' register until amendments are made to the Electoral Act to that effect.

The panel said that Atiku failed to call relevant witnesses, who could have enriched and added value to his petition.

The tribunal said that the former Vice President of Nigeria called ward collation agents instead of polling units agents and that the panel could not rely on the account of hearsay, which formed the fulcrum of the statement of the witnesses he brought forward.

Chairman of the tribunal dismissed the allegation that the INEC and APC connived with the military authorities and other security agents to manipulate and influence the outcome of the election in favour of President Buhari.

He said that the allegations of misconduct by the military linking them to corrupt practices and non-compliance with electoral act could not be substantiated.

Garba also held that the petitioner could not bring forward anybody among those he claimed were arrested to testify.

The panel added that the evidence available before it could not support that claim and make it to invalidate the presidential election.

The panel therefore dismissed the petition and affirmed President Buhari’s victory at the poll.

Atiku and PDP rejected the judgement and stated that they will appeal to the Supreme Court.

APC Leader, Adams Oshiomhole, on Thursday, mocked the PDP, saying that the Supreme Court would merely adopt the judgment of the tribunal, since the opposition really had no evidence to substantiate its petition.

It is now clear that Atiku and his lawyers will go back to the drawing board to make corrections on where they failed in the tribunal in order to come out with a better presentation at the Supreme Court, while also hoping that the Supreme Court will see things in a different light.

PoliticsRe: Timi Frank Seeks Visa Ban Against The PEPT 5 Justices by TRIGITIS: 9:33am On Sep 15, 2019

kidap:
A political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has called on the international community to place visa restrictions on the five justices of the Appeal Court that presided over the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) over gross miscarriage of justice and flagrant breach of the Constitution.

Frank also called on the National Judicial Council (NJC) and the Supreme to review the tribunal’s ruling and sanction the Justices for deliberate perversion of justice.

Reacting to the recent judgement of the PEPT in favour of the presidential candidate of the APC, Frank in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday, said it was obvious that the judgement was written by elements in the presidency.

He said that he is convinced that the PEPT’s ruling that it is not necessary to present certificates to contest for political offices in the country has created problem for the nation’s education sector as it would now be difficult to convince children to go to school or tell those in school to study hard to attain excellence in their educational pursuit.

He however, called on the United States of America (USA), United Kingdom, United Nations and other critical democratic stakeholders to take a punitive step against the five justices led by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, by placing them and their families on visa ban.

According to Frank, both local and international election observers had raised questions about the conduct of the election, particularly unjustified interventions by security forces in favuor of Buhari and the APC, "they said the voting process wasn’t transparent and the Nigerian civil society group, a coalition made up of over 70 civic groups that monitored the balloting also said the outcome wasn’t credible.

“Yet the presiding justices of the PEPT in giving their judgment said the election was credible and dismissed the petition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

“This outcome was was only possible because the judgement was written by the presidency.

"I therefore call on the international community such as the US, UK, EU and others to place a visa ban on the five justices of the PEPT and members of their immediate family.

"The onus is on the Supreme Court to show Nigerians and the world that the judiciary is indeed the hope of the common man; it is incumbent on them to show that they are indeed independent and have not been colonized and made a rubber stamp of the executive in view of the unthinkable verdict
of the five justices of the PEPT.

“They simply turned the judiciary into a black market where justice was measured and sold to the highest bidder. The executive has always accused the judiciary of corruption and the five justices have just confirmed it by this judgment.

"They have brought shame on the Nigerian judiciary and must be sanctioned appropriately by the NJC to serve as a deterrent to others and restore sanity to the judiciary,” he said.

Frank called on the international community to help Nigeria, saying the country "is at a point where it may have civil unrest or a break up as many regions have resumed agitation following the hope-dashing verdict.

“The international community should place visa restrictions on these five Justices like they have done to some corrupt politicians that participated in rigging the last general elections.

"Since these five Justices have traded away the opportunity to redeem the country’s democracy by ridding it of electoral fraud, the Supreme Court must now be courageous enough to rectify this judicial fraud in order to save Nigeria from collapse. Show Nigerians that the judiciary is still the last hope of the common man," Frank said.

He called on the apex court to save the the Judiciary from the onslaught against it by the executive, and failure to reverse PEPT’s ridiculous verdict would inevitably render the judiciary toothless.

Signed
Comrade Timi Frank
Political Activist
Abuja.
