My point with respect to speaking in tongues is that it could be known or unknown, because the Spirit of God who is supposed to gives the utterance can do both.

So it's wrong for speaking in tongues to be observed as speaking in unknown tongues for that is tantamount to putting the Holy Spirit who ought to give the utterance in a box and trying to dictate to Him what to do.

It's His job, so let Him decide whatever kind of utterance He so desires to give, for it would always be spiritually relevant. So let us focus on our own part which is to give Him a conducive and suitable environment for Him to do His job which He alone can do.

As for the Bible which seems to be an obligation to you as it is to most of the church who view every word in it as the Word of God, I do not share such views, for I believe that there is also the word of men inside.

Therefore I'm not under any obligation to such words which don't live up to the standard of the Word of the kingdom of God which Jesus brought to us, for that is the standard of my walk with God and also what I believe ought to be the standard of the church.

So if the Bible is your standard as it is to most of the church, then that is expected. But mine is the teaching of Jesus and every other word that matches up to that standard.

So I can disagree with any such occasion even though it is in the Bible, for I'm not under obligation to the Bible but to Jesus.

You are quoting Paul who wasn't there when the first tongues were spoken. Maybe that's where you get the erroneous idea that speaking in tongues mean speaking in an unknown tongue.

I only have an argument with the statement above, if you are implying that Paul wasn't with the disciples, and speaking in an unknown tongue is an error, the you are simply saying the Bible lied to us in some areas and we are not to even believe what Paul said in God's word(Bible). If I'm mistaken, please explain more on the statement I quoted above.
