Judgepelumi: Is return flight a must? Im lost Either prove to the boarder agent (people who will issue your permit) that you have enough funds for your return home should things not workout or get a return ticket to skip that phase. Some people travel with a one way but I`ll rather err on the side of caution. |

ibeli0: if you can prepare your cv to align with your career and proof you have been continuously working in that line you can get study permit ,your course of study should relate either to your previous academic history or current career supported by I very tight sop Please be informed that in Canada, they use resume not CV. No need for age, sex, nationality, marital status and stuff like that. |

Hello All, Reading through this thread, I will like to make the following comments. 1. You can get admission and study visas with the following credentials; (3rd class, second class up or lower, masters degree) to any graduate program as long as you meet the school requirements and its in the same or similar fields of study.
2. Canadians aren`t overly excited about credentials, they value work experience much more.
3. If your primary goal is to immigrate and you don`t have enough money for a masters degree, then by all means go for grad certificate or diploma at any college.
4. Remember 1 year program = 1 year work permit, 2 years = 3 years work permit.
5. If you are in a relationship, I strongly suggest you go get married and have your marriage certificate before you leave for school. Your spouse can join you on an open work permit which will be valid for the same duration as your study permit |

zandora: Hello all,
I've created this thread for Canadian Express Entry and outstanding FSW 2014 applicants since the previous thread became too long and has now been closed. I've also pasted a PDF link below which details the step by step instructions to apply for the Federal Skilled Workers Program via Express Entry.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4gWGgP8Vy5lSjFoaC01ZUtOaTg/view
In order to apply for Express Entry via FSW you need to first have a minimum of 1 year full time (30 hrs a week) or 2 years part time (15 hrs a week) skilled work experience which falls under NOC code A,B or O. Check for your NOC code below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp
Next take your IELTS General test.
Then evaluate your degree or credentials via WES Canada (the best option). See link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp
After doing the above, to find out if you've qualified you need to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSW grid. Calculate your score below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp
Now that you've qualified, you can go ahead and complete your Express Entry profile via the link below: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp
Other things you must have:
Reference letters to verify the work experience you're claiming points for in the specified format below:
Written on company letterhead.
Signed by the responsible officers/supervisor.
Have the printed name and job title of the responsible officer/supervisor beneath the signature.
Show the company’s full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses
Stamped with the company’s official seal (if applicable)
The letter must include 5 things:
Your job title.
The dates of your employment (ideal format: DD/MM/YYYYY).
Your salary per year (or month).
Your average hours per week.
A detailed list of your employment duties.
Next you need to provide police certificates from all the countries you've resided in for 6 months and above since you were 18 years. See link on how to obtain PC from various countries below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp
Then you need to provide proof of funds for you and/or your family:
Number of Family Members Funds Required (in Canadian dollars) 1 $12,164 2 $15,143 3 $18,617 4 $22,603 5 $25,636 6 $28,913 7 or more $32,191 (I've updated the funds requirement)
Note: Birth certificates are no longer required for applicants but are only now required for your child/children.
Wishing you the best of luck !

jasedu60: This is my honest opinion guys,
Do not Pay any company in Nigeria that doesn't accept "WowPay", because with WowPay, you can dispute your transactions up to 1month after the order/delivery {based on the company's refund policies}, you simply don't have to worry about paying online or about the person/company you are paying, "EVEN IF YOU ARE PAYING ON DELIVERY" - Some companies sell fake (I'm not saying JUMIA does), so you know you have up to 1 month {based on the company's refund policies} to use the item and you know you don't have to exchange physical cash as well as, having the confidence you can get your money back if something goes wrong.
If anyone you pay through WowPay refuse to pick your call or delay your order, simply "Dispute the Transaction" you can get up to full refund within 72hour of initiating a dispute.
With WowPay, you are simply safer, just ask the company if they accept WowPay or tell them you'll only pay via WowPay, simple!

Good evening all, I did my med exam at child practice on the 22nd of April but they've not sent the result to CHC yet, I made several calls and they confirmed this status. Does the med process take this long? May 11th is the resumption date though with extension available, what can I do to make them act? I work at Enugu and can't easily go to the hospital to complain. Someone, kindly advice
Thanks |
