Why should commanders send these guys on that suicide mission. C'mon, you don't use that kind of helicopter to fight BHT when there are fighter jets. midehi2: |
The military in oil-rich Gabon is saying it has seized power from the President Ali Bongo-led government in the country. The BBC reports that soldiers in the west African country said they launched a coup to restore democracy. They took control of the national radio station in the early hours of Monday to read a short statement announcing a “National Restoration Council”. The BBC also reported that tanks and armed vehicles were on the streets of the capital Libreville. President Bongo took over power in 2009. He reportedly suffered a stroke in October and received treatment in Morocco. Mr Bongo sought to put an end to the rumours about his health with a New Year message in which he said he was feeling fine. Soldiers said they had been disappointed by the message, calling it “a pitiful sight” and a “relentless attempt to cling onto power.” Credit: https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/breaking-coup-in-gabon-as-military-hijacks-power.html

The technology giant, Google, has altered its logo to celebrate the posthumous birthday, November 11th, of late "Seun Rere" crooner, Christy Essien-Igbokwe MFR. She was literally referred to as Nigeria's Lady of Songs, as she won many local and international awards during her lifetime. She had 8 albums to her credit with first one released in 1978. A Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google's homepages that commemorates holidays, events, achievements, and people. The first Google Doodle honored the Burning Man festival in 1998, and was designed by the founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Late Christy Essien-Igbokwe was aged 50 when she departed on June 30th, 2011.
