RomanceRe: As A Guy, Have You Ever Been Misinterpreted By a Lady Your Trying To Help? by trudpo: 10:38pm On Nov 13, 2020
Talk true. What do you want from that average looking lady. You even look am reach that level.
smartxyz:
Hello guys,

Please have you ever been asked "what do you want from me?" by a lady that you just wanted to help with no strings attached?

I was driving home yesterday after work and a lady (average looking) flagged me to stop and i decided to stop and gave her a lift. I asked her where she was going and she mentioned a bustop before mine and i said lucky you... We had a lil chat as i drove her and she seemed really fun, We got to her bustop and i offered to be taking her to work in the morning since she stays close to my place. Then suddenly her face changed and she asked the annoying question "Oga what do you want from me?".. at that point i was dumbfounded and sad at same time. But i had to quickly smile and said "nothing" then i drove off.

For me i find it sad, a lot of people are not used to good people doing good things without wanting anything in return.

How do you feel and react when asked that question?

Please share yours

PoliticsRe: Sanwo-olu’s Stern Message To SSG, Chief Of Staff by trudpo: 4:01pm On Jun 06, 2019
we have 2 governors in lagos.
mrakeli62:
As he swears in Secretary to the State Government, Folasde Jaji; Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Gboyega Soyannwo, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has a stern message for them.

Sanwo-Olu said they had no excuse not to hit the ground running to justify the trust reposed in them.

The governor emphasised that that their appointment was a call to service and an acknowledgement of their exemplary track record from their various field of specialisation.

“This appointment is necessary and also critical for a smooth take off of this administration which is barely one week old. You have been brought on board to assist the administration for effective actualisation of the vision and agenda of the APC, for our state and the people,” he said.

Sanwo-Olu advised them to be innovative and receptive to new ideas that would continue to make the state a centre of excellence.

Responding on behalf of the appointees, Jaji, who thanked the governor for giving them the privilege to serve, promised to justify the confidence proposed in them.

Meanwhile, the Governor also swore in six new Permanent Secretaries, including Dr Ademuyiwa Eniayewun , Medical Director Lagos Island Maternity; Mr Olumide Erinle , Principal Apapa Senior High School, Education District IV; and Mrs Oludara Okelola, Principal Babs Fafunwa Millenium Senior Grammar School, Education District VI.

Others are Mr Wasiu Akewusola, General Manager, New Town Development Authority; Mrs Yewande Falugba, Director, Admin and Human Resource, Ministry of Youth and Social Development; and Mr Mustapha Osi-Efa, Director Admin and Human Resource, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Sanwo-Olu charged them not to be complacent but continue to strive for excellence.

He urged them to deliver services comparable to what is obtainable in a 21st century economy and to provide leadership to other level of staff.

According to the Governor, the portfolios of the appointees will be announced soon.

PoliticsRe: Atiku Rejects Outcome Of Presidential Election, Heads To Court by trudpo: 11:32am On Feb 27, 2019
AgueroAtiku my 2 kobo... don't, don't even dare gather 150 SAN and 50 baby lawyers. You will lose on earth and in heaven. Just pick up that phone and congratulate Bubu. Take a cue from GEJ
akinhanger:
Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reacted to the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the February 23 presidential election.

The aggrieved former Vice President says the election was not free and fair.

He says there “were manifest and premeditated” malpractices in many states which negate the results announced.

Atiku said he will seek justice the democratic way by heading to court.

Below is his full statement.

“Democracy Will Not Be Emasculated in Nigeria

I thank the Nigerian people who trooped out in their millions to perform their civic duty this past Saturday. The patriotism of Nigerians is heartwarming and affirms my oft-repeated statement that we are brothers and sisters born from the womb of one mother Nigeria.

With regards to the Presidential elections that took place on February 23, 2019, it is clear that there were manifest and premeditated malpractices in many states which negate the results announced.

Another glaring anomaly is the disruption of voting in strongholds of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers and diverse other states, with the authorities doing little or nothing and in some cases facilitating these unfortunate situations. (See attached links to documentary evidences).

The militarization of the electoral process is a disservice to our democracy and a throwback to the jackboot era of military dictatorship. In some areas of the country, such as, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Imo states, troops deployed for the elections turned their guns on the very citizens they were meant to protect. This is condemnable and should not be associated with our electoral process in the future.

I am a democrat and there are democratic avenues available to present the truth to the nation and the watching world. Already, many international observers have given their verdicts, which corroborate our observations. I am sure more will come in the coming hours and days.

If I had lost in a free and fair election, I would have called the victor within seconds of my being aware of his victory to offer not just my congratulations, but my services to help unite Nigeria by being a bridge between the North and the South.

However, in my democratic struggles for the past three decades, I have never seen our democracy so debased as it was on Saturday, February 23, 2019. 2007 was a challenge, but President Yar’Adua was remorseful. In 2019, it is sad to see those who trampled on democracy thumping their noses down on the Nigerian people.

Consequently, I hereby reject the result of the February 23, 2019 sham election and will be challenging it in court.

I want to assure my supporters and the entire Nigerian people that together, we will not allow democracy to be emasculated.

Signed:
Waziri Atiku Abubakar
