... Seriously?? This is beyond expectations yada yada, it's just that common sense isn't even in the works anymore especially this season. I don't think you know more than the people who thumbed down the episode.

Actually the rating is actually increasing, it's 54% now. Seriously GOT has actually spoilt the fan from day 1. The fans expected too much... Those people complaining should pls stop watching the show and leave it for us who are enjoying it

You guys need to ease up a bit and stop lambasting him. Gosh! Jon has made so much sacrifices to save his people and his remaining families. He even got killed in the process and was resurrected. For a guy who had died and came back from the dead, I think it's forgivable if he seems rather too careful and sullen.

Jon's interest was never the throne. And he has reiterated that several times. He has achieved what he wanted, protecting his people from the army of the dead and seeing his family members together again and defeating all enemies of their families. Now, he doesn't want to put his family in any further harm.

His battle have been fought and done with. Now he simply follows danny carefully, fulfilling his own end of the bargain. This battle is not his. He's just assisting. Forget the Aegon identity. It's was an agreement he already reached with Danny before he became aware of his true identity. AN AGREEMENT IS AN AGREEMENT. If you ask me, the dude is approaching the matter very maturedly, even if he seems conflicted.

Jon is the hero of this show from day one till now. His seeming present 'dullness' is not stupidity. When you've been through the kind of things he has, the battles he has fought so far, you yourself would mellow down.

Episode 5 is trash! In fact, this season 8 is nonsense! They want to make it unpredictable, thereby making mistakes and giving us unnecessary scenes. They are swaying away from the actual story and giving what most of the fans wants. It's obvious a large percentage of fans wants John to rule, so there was no better way to make us hate Dany than making her mad.

She couldn't burn the ship housing the weapon that killed her second dragon in episode 4, but she destroyed a lot more in this episode. Nonsense writing there. She loved her dragons more than anything; watching one die should have given her the rage she needed to destroy Euron's fleet.

I'm surprised people are justifying her actions. They want us to hate her. If you still support Dany, then GOT has done a terrible job. She won the war already for heaven's sake. Burning the whole city was unnecessary. Yet, someone said it's war and she was angry. Missandei and her dragons' deaths weren't the cause of her actions. She wanted to ignite fear since she found out the people won't love her. Well, she succeeded by creating more enemies. John's love for her might fade and Arya is now pissed - she almost died.

Taking about Arya, how on earth did she survived? Oh! The stupid prophesy about shutting brown and green eyes will be the dragon's and/or Dany's ba? I believe they will tell us the gods protected her and kept her alive for a reason. Thousands, if not everyone died in the city, but Arya and that horse wore dragonproof.

Euron and Jamie's fight was unnecessary. I'm not sure if he was the only one that survived the destruction of his fleet, but who would survive fire and dive straight into it minutes later? He should have fled since he knew the battle was lost, but no! He was going back to the Red Keep when he saw Jamie. The mumu na wanted to fight. That scene is so dumb!

There was a dream when she goes into the House of the Undying to rescue her dragons, behind one of the doors she goes into the throne room and there’s no ceiling and snow/ash is falling on the iron throne. Infact she was prophecied to be the queen of the ashes. Rally comes full circle now. GOT has given you guys clue.. but u blame then with lazy writing because things don't work out the way you want..

It seems you haven't been seeing GOT let alone understand the perspective of resurrected folks with some said purpose. Beric, for example... Beric was resurrected severally by the lord of light to save Arya, according to the Red Woman. I could cook up a theory and say Jon was resurrected to assist the other, last living Targaryen - Dany. But then, it is all ideas cooked up in my head, just as yours.

See, long back and forth bore me. I don't even have the time... If you failed to learn from Dany's plight as you walk your way through life then I have no words for you. Just in case you missed it, the greatest lesson Dany's story taught us don't go about solving people's problems when yours is unsettled.

I have been trying hard to make sense of your post, the part I emboldened and I just can't. I can't recall seeing your name as one of the producers or the co-director to have concluded on an ongoing show. Jon's identity threatens to stand in the way of the one thing she had wanted all her life. The moment she learnt about it, her insecurities crept it. Everyone in the north gave her every reason to be worried about her claim. She knew the people would rally behind a male heir and push him to stake his claim once they found out.

About destiny, everything she has been through led her to believe it's her destiny. Remember when we first met her she was just a scared little girl who only wanted to get back to her home, but to do that her brother sold her off to khal drogo because he was promise an army to take back to westros. Fast forward, said brother was murdered for threatening her life and the life of her baby and the dream of going home died with him. Later an assassination attempt was made on her which led her husband to declare he was going to attack westros for her, this rekindled the zeal to go back home and restored her hope. I don't need to remind you that said husband died while making the arrangements to fulfill his vow to take her home, this led to her entering that pyre with three stones and coming out with three dragons and the rest they say is history.

Now her journey throw essos and experiences had shaped her into wanting to make the world a better place, and she feels there is no one better suited to rid the world of evil monarchs but her self and to do this she needs to be the one to call the shots. It's her destiny, if she doesn't sit on the iron throne then she has failed.

It's true power can corrupt, but sometimes it's because people won't be willing to accept the person wielding the power so the person has to use that power to bend them to their will.

Well said... But using power to bend people to their will is not the only way to make people follow u.. it only let them fear u and not love u. If she does that then her reign will not last. The best way to let people love u is to convince them that u are a better ruler and to do that is not easy

The North are very stubborn, we all know that, Dany coming to save mankind with the north has convinced them to serve her as their rightful queen.

But having this yet to be healed north men to prepare for war shows she is not a better ruler but a selfish one.

That alone has disqualified her for that position. It's a process, people blaming the north men should know that their ruler, the starks, have suffered the most from betrayals, having a queen from no where telling u to bend the knee can be sometimes challenging.

Don't let's look things from Danys angle but let's take note of other things that might allow other characters to act the way they act.

And as for Dany, here is another advice,
Sometimes we might be doing things right all along, but only a mistake can crumble all our Good works.

My Battle Advice For Dany:

1) To protect herself from arrows, she needs to wear metal armour. Drogon is strong enough that the weight won't be an issue.

2) To avoid falling from the dragon, she should be strapped to it, with a comfortable mount like the ones ancient Targaryens used.

3) She should carry a crossbow and a few arrows so she can defend herself for a while if forcibly dismounted. Or ride with a fighter.

4) She should start by destroying military targets at night. Euron's fleet, the scorpions, soldiers manning the walls, the golden company, etc.

5) She should drop propaganda materials informing citizens about Cersei's atrocities and urging them to rebel, with food, into the Red Keep.

6) Wait for Arya, Jaime, and the citizens of King's Landing to kill or capture Cersei, as she continues the harassment of military targets.

7) After severely damaging or destroying all of Cersei's military forces, if Cersei is still in power, Dany's army can take the city easily.

A dragon can strike targets very precisely while doing lots of damage. The scorpions are stationary and made of wood. Advantage: Dany.

The above is simplistic and clearly incomplete; it's just meant to show that Kings Landing can be taken without killing civilians indiscriminately.

NB: No Dothrakis should be allowed into King's Landing.

While the recent episode taught me a huge lesson about sticking my neck out for people, this very thread has taught me a greater lesson that humans are not deserving of help.

Dany is presently running at a huge loss. In the space of a little time, she has lost a whole lot. A hoarde of Dothraki, over half of his unsullied soldiers, if she didn't venture into the North, Viserion wouldn't have been speared from the sky. Although we weren't told what would have happened to humanity if Bran had been killed by the NK but what I do know is that the the entire North would have been leveled in an instant the NK went beyond the wall had Dany not sacrificed to be there.

She could have easily taken the Iron Throne but suspended the idea to fight with the North. Jon Snow would have known he was a Targaryen before the arrival of the Night King but he would have perished and we wouldn't be having this back and forth over Dany being selfish.

Perhaps people don't understand that Dany believes she is sent by some whatever to be the liberator of the people. The walk through fire reinforced that belief, not just within her but those who witnessed it.

I don't want to concern myself with who gets the Throne for now but should Dany turn out to be a Mad Queen then I say so be it! Most humans would break and cave in if the things happening to her were to happen to them in reality.

Those who would be able to relate to what Dany is passing through right are those who have stuck out their necks for people and got burnt terribly in the end. You'll never understand her if you don't picture yourself in her shoes.

She is obsessed about the Throne, no doubt. She has lost soldiers, and trusted friends because of her kind act. [b]Asking her to forget the Throne[b/] is similar to saying one should give one's dream for whatever reasons there are.

Ok.. Jon snow dieing and coming back again is not also an indication abi I don't know why people like u talk pooo... No body is saying that she should give up the throne. Even the legitimate heir says he doesn't want.
Dany story doesn't stop u from helping people, it only teaches that when something doesn't belong to u then it doesn't no matter how hard you try.

Put yourself in Danny's shoes and maybe you will understand her character. For me, Danny has been the most relatable character this season. No one would act differently given the circumstances.

Every single one of her army, she earned it. No single royal house in the entire westeros gave her a hundred men. Now there are saying Jon has a claim. And about Sansa, she is really dumb imo. Someone sacrificed a third of her entire army for you, the least you can do is at least respect and trust the person. If Dany decides to sit out this war in Dragonstone, she will be very fine. As depleted as her army is, Cersei can't attack her in Dragonstone, so she will be save. What about Winterfell? Will Cersei just sit in the Iron Throne without capturing winterfell or what is Sansa on?

Someone here is saying Dany was irrational for leaving winterfell. Your Hand sits with the man that murdered your father drinking wine and sharing jokes. The man you loved is there entertaining comments of sitting on the Iron Throne. The fucking house you fought for is giving you the eyes of an enemy. Abeg she has suffered enough. I am not one to force my viewpoint down people's throats but there are those who see movies or shows and pay crucial attention to details. [b]They love to know 'the how', 'the when' and 'the why' events happen. 1. Arya killed the NK - How? Till date, no clue.
2. Ser Bronn showed up at Winterfell in a crossbow and found the Lannister Brothers in a chamber - How did it make it past the wall?
3.Two huge, fierce aerial creatures and a rider fly right above ships but never spotted the enemy ships until Rheagal was shot out of sky multiple times. - How so?
4. Cersei paid Ser Bronn heavily to kill her two brothers but couldn't command her archers to kill Tyrion right at her doorstep. How?

I very much fancy the plot, the gore and violence and all. It doesn't mean I switch off my brain when I sit behind my screen to see each episode. This is not about a movie not going the way I want. This is about logic and common sense. Maybe you should drop your emotion and don your thinking cap when seeing the next episode.

Even the Bible does not contain all the life and ministry of Jesus.... Infact if it were to contain every how?, and when? and where? .. the scriptures no fit contain am......
Use the little information they show u in each episode to deduce the logic behind the show, that is what smart people do.... they go and find answers and don't rant and complain about inconsistentency...

The reasons some persons put up just because they love something is crazy. This is why critiquing can't work in Nigeria. It is also why Nollywood movies get motivated to churn junks out.

When a show or movie you watch start becoming illogical and does so consistently, you shouldn't console yourself by claiming you are not perfect. Movies are make believe and there is a reason Nollywood is at the bottom of the food chain.

Used to like Tyrion for his wits but he's currently witless but a part of me still likes him.

I feel for Dany tho, she struggled to get all of these only to see them crumble. She's done for!! All she ever loved was the Iron Throne... She even loved the Iron Throne more than Jon(that got me very very angry). She could have agreed that she and Jon ruled. If Jon were to be in her shoes, he would have gone for that option and that's why Jon is a very good leader.

If i was to own the game of thrones.
I will allow Danny be the queen of the seven kingdoms but in season Nine, she will then be power drunk as a result of her insecurities which has been seen times without numbers, she will stop at nothing to be the queen.
Which then will turn her to the mad queen as we had the mad king in earlier season.
She will turn out to be worst than Cercei in season nine.

The story should be build on her as a fearsome queen with her dragons and army.

Then Jon should have to go back to his family and plan on how to remove her and her dragons.

Then in season nine, make Bryan the new night king.

If i was the writer, i will make game of thrones to be even greater in season nine.

This episode ruined my day before it began. I hate the fact that the movie is fast looking like a Nollywood wood movie with obvious sudden points that can't be explained.

1. There is the issue of the Starbucks coffee before Dany. Some crazy blooper there.

2. Before they moved out, Sansa suggested the army recuperate but Dany and Jon and Tyrion suggested they hit Cersei when she isn't looking, which implied it had to be immediately. So it was believed that Cersei, though was prepared, never anticipated their attack. How Euron ambushed Dany at that exact spot beats my imagination. There's the possibility/assumptionof a mole; one who must have hinted Cersei that Dany was coming for her.

3. How did Ser Bronn move past a heavily guarded wall with fairly towering outposts manned by archers only to show up in one of the Chambers of Winterfell; exactly the same where Jamie and Tyrion were in?

4. Greyworm ordered Missandei to hide when Euron's fleet attacked them. They were on the same ship and it probably got destroyed like that of Tyrion. Greyworm escaped with some of his men but 'left' Missandei behind only to remember her ashore. The next, she had been captured by Euron...

I understand that the show had stretched long enough but seeing that it is being rushed is fast making it look like a typical Nollywood movie. Some many 'little' details are being omitted for no reasons.

Pls as long as u are not perfect, then nothing else that anyone does cannot be perfect...

Like I said your emotions are all over the place because the script writers of GOT are not taking the story where you want it to go. Remember GOT is a television programme. It is NOT real. Watch the programme and be entertained. Stop getting angry and hot under the collar when the storyline does not go how you wish it to. Relax,none of it is reality.
