Morocco's application has been washed down. Its to be decided next year during an extraordinary summit that was not announced. No such summit will hold. The next ecowas meeting holds in Lome in june.

Ecowas leaders are no more keen on Morocco because of its political and economic consequences for the subregion. Welcoming morocco sets a dangerous precedence that will haunt ecowas.

Finally, Morocco, even if accepted, cant upturn Nigerias influence in ecowas.
