IS THIS HOW TO ARREST A RELIGIOUS LEADER, WHO WAS NOT CARRYING WEAPONS? KILLED OTHER HUNDREDS, AND QUICKLY BURIED THEM IN MASS GRAVES, IN ORDER TO DESTROY EVIDENCE.
NIGERIA IS NOT A REPUBLIC OF SHARIALAND.THERE IS SOMETHING KNOWN AS THE RULE OF LAW. what should our army do??...they declared a vassal state of iran in nigeria...should we just accept it,because of polical-correctness..?? hell nooo!!! this is naija!!!..atleast iran, didnt over-blow the situation,,,they didnt burn our flag!... we must respect that.... |

Psalm18: Good on them- not everyone in the East dislikes Mr. President. Just how not everyone in the North likes him. At least Dasuki family don't
That's the beauty of democracy. Free association, free press, free movement as long its within the law. That's why we must not allow a return to tyranny in whatever guise. so long you agree, that our lives is in danger and ready to protect ourselfs, then fine..i am happy with your democracy... but, i am still not fan of it........ we are at war.....i think we should suspend it,till the war is over.....dont forget,we are at the end-times.... nigeria is too complex for democracy......250 languages(each proud, and are not going to give up their traditions, without a fight),170million,2 religions(which have their one separations).... their is no way nigeria will survive with democracy.... nigeria musssst be ruled, like in the military-barracks..... |

They are busy gearing themselves for investment and all we do is to make noise about secession. We should please secure our future. Lagos is truly beautiful, I didn't say all southwest oo[.. Only Lagos mehnnnn. its better for una...you already have international contacts,,,,you have a lot of oppotunities, but you are using your advantages the wrong way..... trying to help someone like kanu is a ecomical-desaster-plan... someone that threathen bloodshed on innocent civilianse and film it on video, put it on youtube.......i dont know... i dont think someone like him is defendable anymore...... you will go bankrupt if you pursue this case..!!! |

seyitone: i had a similar argument with a colleague yesterday. We cannot afford this "throw out the baby with the bath water" approach. Maddoff stole 50 billion dollars and he his day in court. After fair hearing base on the rule if law, he was duly sentenced and now in prison. If we allow this mockery of the rule of law, we not only be sstting loose a dog that might come back and bite us, we will also be encouraging a dictatorship. Jail Dasuki. but follow the law. I believe in our judicial system. The likes of Bode George can testify to that... It will be a very bad precedence to begin to allow the president play plaintiff, Jury and Judge. Let the war corruption continue but lets not suspend the nigeria constitution as if we are in a different kind of war. God bless Buhari God bless Nigeria atleast the threat of dictatorship is waking you people up...........rise nigeria, we are at war!!!they want to destroy us after colonialism...!!!.........fight,fight,,,, fight to survive the madness of the devil!!!... |

fallout87: Progress? Is dictatorship progress?
When the executive arm of government ignores and tramples on the judicial arm of government, it opens the door of anarchy.
The question to ask is why are Africans so backward mentally?
It is only in African countries like Nigeria where they will welcome dictatorship.
It shows how pathetic the people of the country truly are. pahh...you are pathetic,to allow stealing,rape,mord,impunity,homosexuality.....because of political-correctness.... |

refiner: 95% jare .....we re all behind him... the world shouldnt fool themselfs, nigeria is complex... take the case of ojukwu for example,,,,we forgave ojukwu and even let him parcipate to be president....other nations would have sentenced him to death...... if the entire igbos had supported ojukwu, ojukwu would have become president, well meaning igbos, will never forget how we handled the matter back then..... after centuries of humiliation from other nations, nigeria was desperately looking for heroes....and ojukwu is one of our heroes....a hero, that is ready to defend the black-race till the very last........ nigeria is united against any foreign invasion or intrusion... |

Marvin67: Nd that is how people would sit in their rooms and push baba to destruction.
We can't practise half democracy. Democracy is based on the rule of law. If we don't want to abide by that we can create our own system of government. We can't claim to be practising a democracy where literates would support one man to be lawmaker, president, and chief judge at the same time. This is not democracy, let's stop deceiving ourselves.
As I always say, it's not about PDP or APC. It,'s about standing for what is right today, so you wouldn't need to change your stand tomorrow. If you support Buhari in this today, be ready to support another tyrant leader when he comes up. What we need is strong institutions, not strong individuals, becareful how powerful you make Buhari feel, it could backfire tomorrow. A word is enough for the wise of course you are right!!! any sane nairalander knows that.....buuut...we are at war,we must suspend somethings, till the war is over, then return to the standards..... |

Nigeria can't take on Cameroon in a full blown war , how much more IRAN.
Does Nigeria have Missile defence system to intercept missiles from Iran? then we buy Missile defence systems from irans enemies.....you people are like ostrichs....chaiii...if another nation attack, its better people like you hide in your holes and shvt up and let those that are ready to defend and die for nigeria do their jobs...... btw...bakassi is extremly difficult matter...because it is realy in the area of cameroon, but the senate never approved the move,sooo..bakassi is technicaly still nigerian territory but under admistration of cameroon.... cameroon can not win,in a war against nigeria....we have much more manpower....no chance.........and niegria would activate ecowas tooo...cameroon has no chance against nigeria.... at the end,it would be english-speaking-african-nations against french-speaking-african-nations,,,, soo..cameroon should shvt the fvck up,,,before we go agro on their asses.... |

MrAnalyst: Unbearable consequences?! Don't make us laugh here. Nigeria should just give Zakzaky a strict warning and let him, though I don't think Iran will go offensive still I wouldn't risk it. If you don't know it,know it now,if Nigeria is left to go one-one with Iran now,Iran will floor Nigeria 5 times over. Better be aware of that. pahhh...you are not a good analyst....if iran even start that adventure with us,we will only be defensiv, and let the african-union lead,,,,iran would weaken it self so much, that will make it self vulnareble to western assimilation..... i dont think, even the persian empire is ready to go against ile-ife..... |

Bevista: IMF conditionalities are generally known to stiffle economic growth in debtor countries. I'm sure you've heard about the popular AUSTERITY conditions. --- In modern macroeconomics, it has been proven that tightening during recession simply leads to "Austerity Trap". During times of recession or economic slowdown, expansionary monetary/fiscal policies are needed to spur growth. So, they must not come here to preach Austerity to us. --- As for the Rothschilds Conspiracy Theory, there's too much to talk about, so I would rather not start |

seunmsg: The reverse is actually the case. PDP and Ngozi Okonjo iweala sold us to them. APC is now cutting off IMF/world bank grip on how economy and that is why Largade is here to persuade us back.
IMF/world bank are not our best friends. Their conditionalities will compound our problems the more so, whatever they are offering should be properly scrutinised. Going forward, we should seek more cooperation with China when it comes to financing capital project. Chinese gives better conditions than the bretton woods. thats what we should do,,,we should concentrate on russia, china and iran.....that was very sad what happend to the shiites in nigeria... but we shall not compromise nigeria, because of two brothers fighting each other....!!! |

@ topic, I trust my Sai Buhari not to enter into any agreement that will not be in the best interest of Nigeria.
If he could say no to IMF policies that were not in the nation's interest in 1984, he can surely say so in 2016. In fact, he has given us an indication to be ready to do that when he refused to devalue the naira as a condition given by JP Morgan in order to continue participating in its Price Index. sai.. |
