IROHINOodua: By Tunde Akinsola, Ibadan Some leaders today in Ibadan warned that the Yoruba will reconsider her membership of the Nigerian federation if the cultural and political marginalization continues unabated. The summit is not impressed by the slogan of renaissance renting the air, saying that the country has merely slid into the firm grip of another self-serving ethnic cabal intent on pinning the country down in her historic state of control my vested interests. Presided over by former Governor of the Western Region, General Adeyinka Adebayo the summit warn that the Yoruba will no longer tolerate the sustenance of the country’s garrison structure which they claim undermine self actualization of the people of the South West. Irohinodua correspondent reports that the summit said failure to restructure Nigeria using the 2014 confab report might force the Yoruba people to review her place in a political arrangement that cannot guarantee the protection of her citizens. Factional leaders of the Oodua Peoples Congress, (OPC), Dr Fredrick Faseun and Otunba Gani Adams were unanimous in saying that the time to “leave Nigeria” and assert the sovereignty of the Yoruba people is now. The summit strongly condemned what it described as the “invasion and killing of people in Yoruba territories” by the Fulani herdsmen. The summit held in the House of Chiefs Section of the Parliament Building of the Oyo State Secretariat with the theme “National Insecurity and the Menace of Fulani Herdsmen in Yorubaland.” The participants also decried the continued oppression of the Yoruba in their homeland by armed Fulani herdsmen. The summit cite incessant cases of rape, destruction of economic plants that form the bedrock of the livelihood of locals, the armed violence unleashed by the nomads coupled with the consequent cultural disequilibrium the displacement of people from crisis-ridden Northern Nigeria have brought to communities in Yorubaland adding that subsequent governments in Nigeria have come into power waving slogans that end up leaving the country worse than they met it. They demanded an immediate end to lawless nomadic activities in the South West warning that any community who cannot establish ranches for their flock should retreat from Yoruba territories. “The Yoruba people are no longer ready to tolerate mindless encroachment on their means of livelihood by any ungrateful tenants”, the gathering stated as part of its resolutions. The summit appear to be a mixture of Yoruba nationalists who have remained steadfast for ages and a sizeable flavour of people who worked for the ousted former President Goodluck Jonathan, leaving the possible impression that the summit has an iota of the usual sharp ideological and sometimes raucous divisions that have characterized Yoruba internal politics since independence. Some observers think the Yoruba supporters of the ousted President Jonathan are anxious to seek relevance in a new environment that appears to have pushed them into the back bench of anomie. But the Afenifere spokesperson, Mr Yinka Odumakin said his group will always defend the objective interests of the Yoruba people. An official of the Oodua Liberation Movement, (OLM) Mr Popoola Ajayi said though the supporters of the ousted President Jonathan were prominent at the summit, the “reality is that many Yoruba people are disillusioned about the state of affairs in Nigeria and patience is running out.” He said after working for the emergence of President Mohammadu Buhari, the Yoruba people are “desperate to know if the alignment with the Fulani would lead to the restructuring of Nigeria and create political and economic freedom for the Yoruba” adding that the recent appointments by the President undermines the regime’s integrity. He said “we the Yoruba people want to control our economy, security and natural resources including the sea ports.” At the event were prominent Yoruba sons and daughters from the academia, politics and the Diaspora. The sponsors of the summit were Yoruba Council of Elders, (YCE), Oodua Foundation, Afenifere and the Yoruba Unity Forum, (YUF). Some of the participants included the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Otunba Moses Alake Adeyemo, who represented the State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi; Sola Ebiseni, who represented the Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, Pa Olanihun Ajayi, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, Pa Supo Sonibare, Prof Banji Akintoye, Prof Toun Ogunseye, the first woman Professor in Nigeria. Others were Dr Fredrick Faseun, Otunba Gani Adams, Dr Kunle Olajide, Chief Shuaib Oyedokun and the former Military governor of Lagos State, Brig-Gen Raji Rasaki among many others. The Afenifere Renewal Group, (ARG) and many other Pan-Yoruba groups were however absent at the summit.

The Western corporate media, essentially the West’s propagandists, are obviously getting desperate in trying to respond to Russia’s campaign against Islamic State terror. The levels of disinformation and double-talk are now reaching new heights. We post Daily Beast report as an example. It opens with the lines: “Putin’s air campaign in Syria is not only supporting Assad, it’s giving cover to fighters from the so-called Islamic State.” The Russians are obviously NOT “giving cover” to Islamic State terrorists. However, the West has been completely blindsided by Russia’s response in Syria that this is the best they can come up with. In less than a week Russia has inflicted more damage IS than more than a year of U.S. bombing. That’s because the U.S. campaign was no more than theatre. Islamic State is a Western proxy for regime change in Syria and the U.S. led campaign against them was a PR exercise. The Russian campaign is exposing this fraud. Hence the increasingly desperate lines coming from the Western corporate media, like the ones below. Ed.
Russia’s Giving ISIS An Air Force Michael Weiss — The Daily Beast Oct 8, 2015
Last June, the U.S. embassy in Damascus accused Bashar al-Assad’s air force of clearing a path for an ISIS advance on Syrian rebels in the Aleppo town of Azaz. “Reports indicate that the regime is making air strikes in support of [ISIS’s] advance on Aleppo, aiding extremists against Syrian population,” the embassy account tweeted, following up with a broader accusation: “We have long seen that the regime avoids [ISIS] lines, in complete contradiction to the regime’s claims to be fighting [ISIS].”
Now Russia seems to have inherited Assad’s role as the unacknowledged air force of ISIS.
On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s fighter jets rocketed an ammunition storehouse, destroying artillery, armored personnel carriers and even tanks belonging to Liwa Suqour al-Jabal, or The Mountain Eagles, a U.S.-backed brigade of the Free Syrian Army. A video uploaded by the brigade to YouTube shows the burning wreckage of the Russian airstrike, in Mansoura, in the western suburbs of Aleppo, as the local commander known as Abu Mohammed taunts his enemy: “Thank God, we are all fine,” says Abu Mohammed. “We don’t fear Russia or anyone helping the Russians. Bashar, we will remain resistant fighting you even without any ammunition or bullets. We will fight you with knives. We don’t need ammunition, Allahu Akhbar.”
The cameraman then adds that the Russians weren’t the only ones hitting the brigade yesterday. “The Russian airplanes are targeting Suqour al-Jabal’s weapon depots in Aleppo and ISIS attacked the bases with explosives at the same time.”
Hasan Hagali, the top commander for Suqour al-Jabal and a former captain in the Syrian Arab Army, explained via Skype to The Daily Beast: “Yesterday, at 5:30 p.m. a base belonging to Suqour al-Jabal was targeted in two air raids in Mansoura. In each raid, there were three Russian Mig-31 jets. That’s our main arms depot, where we supply all our units. At the same exact time—5:30 p.m.—ISIS sent a car bomb against us in Deir Jemal, against our base. This is about 130 kilometers away from Mansoura.” An earlier ISIS attack against a Suqour al-Jabal frontline position, he added, occurred in Ehres, also in western Aleppo, at around 3 o’clock. But ISIS locations in the province, no doubt equally visible from the air, were left unscathed by the Russians.
Today’s strikes on CIASIS in Syria involved 26 cruise missile launches from the Caspian sea, along with additional strikes from the air. QUESTION: Why would Russia use expensive cruise missiles when there is no way any legitimate ISIS could take preventive action against much cheaper airstrikes? ANSWER: Because America can warn CIA assets of approaching aircraft and tell them to take cover or leave the area. The U.S. still most likely cannot track a cruise missile, which will take care of the CIA just fine, at additional cost. And Russia can fit that into a budget of $400 billion somewhere.
Russia warships fire cruise missiles as Moscow backs Syrian army offensive
Max Delany — TIME Oct 7, 2015
Russian warships joined in strikes in Syria with a volley of cruise missile attacks as Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged his air force would back a ground offensive by government forces.
Ships from the Caspian Sea fleet launched 26 cruise missile strikes that hit 11 targets over 1,500 kilometres away in Syria, Moscow said.
Putin said Russian efforts “will be synchronised with the actions of the Syrian army on the ground and the actions of our air force will effectively support the offensive operation of the Syrian army”, at a televised meeting with Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu.
The Russian leader, however, also stressed the need for cooperation with a US-led coalition fighting Islamic State jihadists, saying that without cooperation from the US, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, the intervention was unlikely to work.
Russian forces have struck 112 targets in war-torn Syria since last week launching a bombing campaign that Moscow says is targeting the IS group, Shoigu told Putin in the televised briefing.
“Strikes have hit 112 targets from September 30 until today,” Shoigu said. “The intensity of the strikes is increasing.”
In a sign that Russia was ramping up its involvement, Shoigu said that four Russian warships had hit sites in Syria on Wednesday with cruise missiles.
“In addition to the air force, four warships of the Caspian flotilla have been involved,” Shoigu said, adding that the warships had carried out 26 cruise missile strikes against 11 targets.
A military spokesman told Russian news wires that the strikes from the warships had hit positions of IS and Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Nusra Front.7
Towncrier247: Sahara Reporter's Adeola Fayehun shared it on YouTube, says a Nigerian airline passenger sent it to her. The passenger wrote
"I presume it started raining shortly before our landing as we waited in the plane for the Airline staff to get us umbrellas to shelter. All of that sounds good, right? Until we discovered the plane was leaking. Please see attached photos and video. Although it wasn't immediately clear if the leak was from the rain or the plane's cooling system, one thing was evident: the rate of leakage was proportional to the fluctuating intensity of the rain. At heavy intensity, the leak was pouring. When the rain subsided, it became more of a drip. In any case, the structural integrity of the aircraft is brought to question."
yea...keep on buying white-people products....their products never last long....they say you do it yourself, you said no...enjoy a life long paying for a product that is fraudulent to start with......
aitop: Last year independence day celebration was rough, fighting here and there, I thank God it’s all different this time around, security personnel are everywhere. So far I’ve seen some improvement within the short period of time since this regime took over, I strongly believe by this time around next year there will be a great improvement, a lot of improvement I repeat.
hey,bros...its important to keep the economie going....you need money for everything...very importantly for war against those that dont like you, those like, boko bros, biafrauds and the (colonialists) of course................
hansad: In Nigeria's political terrain, an Igbo seeking to be president of Nigeria is on a different plane from a Yoruba seeking to be president of Nigeria. The 36 states political structure created after the war till 1996 was purposely done to shortchange the southeast politically and economically
Or you have not heard the unwritten dictum that because Igbo tried to secede from Nigeria, it shall be 100 years before an Igbo presides over Nigeria again?
Why did Obasanjo refuse Peter Odili to become even VP to late Yar'Adua, not with standing that Odili was about to cruise to victory as winner of PDP presidential primaries after an excruciating political campaign?
No insulting words, or I shall not respond to you again.
then wait a hundred years,biko...the loosing side always pays the prize,no matter who started the war....wars are like this,,,,...
a 100 years,is not that much,in the eyes of god its only a second...sooooooooooooo......relax and fight for your rights as nigerians the way other tribes do in this so called nigeria...we should rename this teritory anyway---
i am not going to be named by an white-bittch----....
midolian: Senate President Bukola Saraki’s political future lies precariously in the balance amidst shock revelation that the Kwara Central Senatorial District election results which declared him winner last March were forged by the INEC, according to INEC’s own election papers tendered at the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, and obtained by PM News.
The two documents, admitted in evidence as “Exhibit D1” and “Exhibit D2” by the Justice Joshua Majebi-led election tribunal, were tendered by Alhaji Ladi Hassan in what would appear to be a bizarre but unintended act of political self-immolation.
A long-standing ally, Alhaji Hassan was once the Chief of Staff to the then Governor Saraki, and represented him and the All Progressives Congress (APC) as Party Agent during the 28th March 2015 election.
Alhaji Hassan was ironically the only witness called by the APC as Second Respondent to testify in Saraki’s favour, who himself neither appeared nor called any other witness in his defence.
Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who was declared the runner-up to Dr Saraki, sued the latter as well as the APC and the INEC at the election Tribunal, claiming that the purported declaration of Dr Saraki as the validly elected Senator for Kwara Central Senatorial District was massively flawed.
The Petition was mainly anchored on six grounds involving alleged widespread noncompliance with various provisions of the Electoral Act, 2010 (as amended), and INEC’s election regulations and procedures, insisting that the Petitioner rather than Saraki scored majority of the lawful votes cast at the election.
Alhaji Abdulrazaq claims in particular that there were widespread abuses in relation to the electronic card reader for accreditation to the advantage of Dr Saraki, and that Saraki’s purported victory was the “product of deliberate wrong entries (of votes) made by” INEC’s election workers.
He, therefore, urged the Tribunal to annul Saraki’s alleged victory, and declare him as the genuine winner instead; or, in the alternative, to annul the election altogether and order a fresh poll.
Dr Saraki, on his part, not only challenged Alhaji Abdulrasaq’s various claims of election irregularities as unfounded, but also vigorously urged the Tribunal “to strike out the Petition for being incompetent … in its entirety”, having allegedly being “filed in flagrant violation of the applicable provisions of the Federal High Court Rules and the mandatory provisions of the 1st Schedule to the Electoral Act, 2010 (as amended) — ie, “Rules of Procedure for Election Petitions”, among other grounds.
The battle, having been effectively joined, was fiercely fought at the Tribunal mainly between a modest legal team from Ambali & Co led by Francis Obumse for Alhaji Abdulrasaq, and an intimidating platoon of five SANs and some 70 lawyers led by Yusuf Ali (SAN) for Dr Saraki.
At trial, which began on 22nd July, Alhaji Abdulrasaq, the Petitioner, testified for himself and called three other witnesses, including Mr Tunde Salako, the Head of INEC’s Legal Unit in Kwara State; and Mrs Nkolly Obumse, a Lagos-based forensic analyst, who provided a 4-volume analysis of voting materials and results polling unit-by-polling unit.
Mrs Obumse testified that the accreditation process was flawed, with the electronic card readers massively by-passed; and that there were also widespread over-voting as well as wrong entries of voting scores in favour of Dr Saraki.
It was the testimony of Alhaji Hassan, the only witness called by the APC and the Respondents side, that was to throw up a knotty and awkward problem, however.
Though he testified that the election was hitch-free, the election results Alhaji Hassan tendered (Exhibit D1 and Exhibit D2) gave rise to a triple problem, which became apparent only after Justice Majebi raised it suo moto at the close of hearing and called on the parties to advice the Tribunal in their submissions.
In law, suo moto (Latin for on its own motion) or its approximate equivalent of sua sponte (of his, her, its or their own accord) means an act of authority taken without formal prompting from another party.
The term in legal parlance is thus mostly applied to actions by a judge taken without prior request or motion from the parties. Though courts the world over have taken up notable suo moto cases, the extent to which the court should exercise this authority remains a matter of political debate.
At issue, according to Justice Majebi, was this: “Whether this Petition is competent putting into consideration the date of declaration of the result of Kwara State Central Senatorial election vis-à-vis the date of filing this Petition.”
The Exhibit D1 (ie, INEC Form EC 8D (I) being the “Summary of Results From Local Government Areas Collation at Senatorial District Level”) and Exhibit D2 (ie, INEC Form EC 8E (I) being the “Declaration of Result of Election” to the Senate) that Alhaji Hassan tendered in evidence were both apparently signed and dated on the 28th day of March 2015 — the very day of the election. Exhibit D1 or INEC Form EC 8D (I) was however signed by two people alone — Dr
(Mrs) Mulkah A Ahmed, the election’s Collation and Returning Officer, with the concurrence of Alhaji Hassan. Other party agents were said to be unaware of the collation exercise.
Exhibit D2 or INEC Form EC 8E (I), which contained the final results of the election and purportedly declared Dr Saraki as the validly elected candidate was signed by Dr (Mrs) Ahmed as the Returning Officer. It was not clear to whom she made the declaration or if she posted it on INEC’s notice board, as required by law; for it was never reported by the media or anyone else.
As Abdulrasaq’s Petition was dated the 19th April 2015, it became apparent why Justice Majebi raised suo moto the question of its competence in this regard.
Both section 134(1) of the Electoral Act, 2010 (as amended) and section 285(5) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) provide thus: “An election petition shall be filed within 21 days after the date of the declaration of results of the elections.” This places the filing of the Petition one day outside the statutory time frame, and Saraki’s lawyers went full blast to urge the Tribunal to strike it out on this ground.
But precisely why Justice Majebi raised the matter at the close of evidence, but then refused further scrutiny of the issue as requested by the Petitioner’s lawyers is unclear. This may well raise questions about fair hearing at appeal, depending on how the verdict goes.
Meantime, Abdulrasaq’s lawyers have shown from several other election result forms admitted by the Tribunal that Exhibit D1 and Exhibit D2 were in effect criminal forgeries. Collation of results at ward level, they argued, were still going on in several places across the Senatorial District on 29th March 2015 as exemplified by Annex 1- 9 and the table below; whereas Dr (Mrs) Ahmed and Alhaji Hassan had apparently prepared and declared the final election results showing Dr Saraki as the purported winner the day before.
The credibility of the 28th March final return is further eroded by the fact that nowhere throughout Nigeria did INEC announce any final Senatorial election return that day.
In fact, the Vanguard on 30th March quoted Kwara INEC’s spokesman Jacob Ayanda as saying the previous day that the election results won’t formally be known until next day, as “only (the) results from Isin and Oke-Ero out of the 16 local governments had arrived the Commission’s headquarters as at about 3:00pm” on 29th March.
It was on that 30th March 2015 that the results of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Kwara State were indeed released by the State’s Presidential election Returning Officer and the Resident Electoral Commissioner respectively.
These were accordingly reported in the media.
Incidentally, Dr Saraki himself was the first person to reveal the results of the Kwara Central Senatorial election on his Facebook page on the morning of 30th March, which he accompanied with a picture of himself holding for the camera what appears to be the election’s result sheet.
Dr Saraki then released a statement by 19:24 that same day through his media aide, Bamikole Omishore, conveying his reaction to the results. How and why he and his lawyers came to insist on the 28th March 2015 poll results remains to be explained.
The Petitioner’s lawyers in their final written address insisted however that the 28th March results are fakes, and therefore a nullity, which the Tribunal lacks the power to affirm or modify. Citing a celebrated English case by Lord Denning, they said that the Tribunal cannot build something on nothing!
Dr Saraki’s star-studded entourage of lawyers, by contrast, remain upbeat, playing down the troubling significance of the dodgy documents, but without offering any convincing explanation for them.
Instead they argued in their response that even if the results collated on 29th March were each deducted from the sum total votes of 118,879 for Saraki and 66,864 votes for Abdulrasaq — which will be absurd since it would amount to deducting twice the votes in issue — Saraki would still be the winner.
Whatever the Justice Majebi-led Tribunal decides, legal and political pundits think it will inevitably have to face and resolve three key knotty issues without ultimately producing a legal absurdity:
* One, if it has power to legitimise an essentially fraudulent and criminal act, as Exhibit D1 and Exhibit D2 were arrived at in manifest breach of section 69 of the Electoral Act, 2010 (as amended), which stipulates that all validly cast votes for each candidate in an election must count before a return is made;
* Two, if in the face of clear contrary evidence it still accepts Exhibit D1 and Exhibit D2 as valid, it will have to strike out the Petition; and
* Three, if on the other hand it finds the exhibits to be forgeries or illegal, it cannot simply proceed to ignore the fact and rule against the petition on other grounds.
There are no indications where the Tribunal’s verdict is headed, especially with the other issues in contention. What seems almost certain however is that the case might hit the Court of Appeal, where it will ultimately be determined.
Sources familiar with the case say Abdulrasaq would appeal if he loses because he is driven by a deep sense of grievance at what he sees as Saraki’s intolerable excesses, arrogance and perverse sense of entitlement. Crucially, he is convinced that the slow-moving wheel of justice would inevitably turn in his favour.
There is little, if any, doubt too that Saraki would go the same way, if only to hang on to his Senate presidency a bit longer. The man, say some pundits, is a political insurgent, with a keen sense and skills of a political street-fighter who would always fight his way to the last ditch.
Others, however, reckon that Dr Saraki might cut his losses and reconcile with his party in the event of defeat rather than press on, if only to get some respite from his mounting political troubles. All the moreso as he may want to avoid the prospect of triggering criminal investigation into the conduct of Dr (Mrs) Ahmed and Alhaji Hassan, which is certain to sweep him along.
Section 124(6) of the Electoral Act, 2010 (as amended) is clear in this regard: For the purposes of this Act, a candidate shall be deemed to have committed an offence if it was committed with his knowledge and consent or the knowledge and consent of a person who is acting under the general or special authority of the candidate with reference to the election.
In the event that Dr (Mrs) Ahmed and Alhaji Hassan are investigated, charged and convicted for offences related to their conduct over the election, both as well as Dr Saraki could well be looking at spending up to three years in jail, and/ or faced with hefty fines into the bargain.

Gentlebabs: Tribute To My Nation – Happy 55th Independence
From the evil days of the Nigerian civil war that claimed thousands of lives, to the traumatic regime of the military dictatorship, and now to our nascent democracy, we have weathered the storm. Let “They” who have a perfect economy cast the first stone, none will cast the stone.
Every good success have track records. Any success that does not have a track record is a travesty; sustainability might be a major issue. The time has come when the right finger is been pointed at Nigeria, championing eradication of high level corruption, which has been the major factor behind our economic, political and social growth as a people and Continent. Now, the “Right” finger is been pointed at Nigeria as the Chariot that determines where Africa’s economic pendulum will swim. Nigerians, you can’t just hate them!
Unfavorable policies and harsh conditions have made our countrymen sought supposed “Greener Pastures” abroad, thereby causing brain-drain. Some have embarked on a journey of no return in their quest to better their current economic and social status, perishing in deadly seas with harsh weather conditions. Some have become victims of unfortunate circumstances; their families will never know what became of them.
Does it mean God is a partial God? “No”, HE blesses whom he chooses to bless according to HIS divine mandate. Many a people have lost their destinies in our beloveth country in the “Get Rich Quick Or Die Syndrome”, no moral fibre in them to put a “C-Caution” when the are deviating from the manual of the Creator. Imagine buying a costly electronic gadget and not look into the operational manual to preserve the destiny of the gadget, the result of ignorance can be very calamitous, “but from the beginning, it was not so”. However, some have blazed the trail, writing their names on the sands of time, with points of gold and pens of silver, representing our dear nation in various fields of human endeavor. We are grateful to our foreign partners, who sees the seeds of greatness in our great country and the citizenry, investing in our human resource, which is the greatest investment of our time. Thank you. You have given us your broad shoulders to lean on, helping us reach our MDG’s and SDG’s, we will forever be grateful.
It is true that CORRUPTION has been our Commander-In-Chief of Africa’s problem, but it is also true that; with the new Sheriff in town in Nigeria, corrupt people are beginning to do the right thing. Other African countries are beginning to see that if it can work in Nigeria, it can work anywhere, they have seen the power of a free press and a growing social media e-force championed by the youth. Given the current political platform, we are in the threshold of history, we are re-writing our stories. We are investing in our military to protect “One Nigeria”, we are seeking new and genuine foreign partners to join us to pilot our ship and navigate safely and successfully to the plateau of our destiny as a nation, incompetence is slowly but surely been replaced with competency, professionalism and technocrats.
Show me a country that will face all the challenges that has beclouded Nigeria in time past and even recently and not go to war! Show me a country with over 250 languages and they still maintain peace in hopelessness. The book that former President Obasanjo wrote “I SEE HOPE” is gradually living its dream. Freedom of the press and civil society have helped shaped our democracy and checked political thugery and excesses by those who have usurped our advancement masquerading as representatives of the people to swindle us of our resources.
There is no more hiding place for “CORRUP-TICIANS” as “STEALING IS NOW CORRUPTION”. It is in view of these, making satisfactory progress amidst so many challenges that has earned us “The Big Brother Of Africa”, and one of the 5 most developing economies in the world (M.I.N.T.S.) with attendant challenges. Not a mean feat, not because we are the most populous black nation in the world, but that is how the Uncreated Creator designed it. Afterall, “A golden fish has no hiding place”. HE who created Nigeria as a nation knows the beginning from the end as the “All Knowing”
Tell it to everybody, the hour has come to liberate Nigeria, from the hands of those who have constantly RAPED our economy. Through the vehicle of separation of powers, justice and zero-tolerance to corruption, we will get there, slowly but surely. Say goodbye to nepotism, injustice, corruption with impunity laxity and all the paraphernalia of corruption.
On this special extra date that we celebrate our 55th independence anniversary, may our road be rough. Truth is, no good thing comes easy. May we see opportunities in challenges while seeing every member of this planet as one, regardless of our colour, race, continent and whatever we perceive to be an advantage over others.
Finally, I prophesy that, very soon, we will be going about with our Green Passport with the pride that the Eagle displays during aerial shows, as the King of the air.
I believe in Nigeria. I believe in her ability to rise above her whatever challenge. I believe in our unity and our glorious tomorrow.
Long Live Good People – Great Nation! Long Live Nigeria!

Predecessors of the rocking horse may be seen in the rocking cradle, the tilting seats used during the Middle Ages for jousting practice as well as the wheeled hobby horse. The toy in its current form did not appear before the 17th century, though some conflicting sources note medieval manuscripts including references to carved rocking horses, presumably of the toy kind.
