@OP, Public Health persons are probably already on ground. I am sure they are the ones who identified the source of the disease. As for identifying the pathogen, I am not sure we have BSL-4 labs here in Nigeria. Samples would have to be flown out. One can't rule out the possibility of the supernatural tho.
