As an individual, you pay your income tax, VAT and other government and service providers open and secret charges and you still have to power your Generator for light, pay for private neighbourhood security, get your water, fix the damages on your cars caused by bad roads, Police,LASTMA,VIO,Road safety etc will still do theirs.

Even with your hard-earned money, you are not sure of any safety as you could be easily kidnapped and police will tell you to go and corporate with the criminals.

OP FYI all churches are registered as NGO which must be audited and account for every penny received and spent to the govt. The letter you received detailing their account are evidences for audit report. And as an NGO you are non profit and mandated to run programs helping the needy and poor. Before my Nigerian Brethren here in Nairaland start rejoicing, Look at the first top ten countries starting with Nigeria at Number one, You will see that those top 10 countries are countries that can accept any foolish or menial jobs to survive in any country they relocate to.

They have no pride or respect in Labour, always looking miserable, depressed etc.

I had a similar experience too after my Dad's passing. My Dad loves women and married many wives . We were always fighting him and hated this side of him . But this man was a very wealthy and generous human being. He will deep his hand into his pocket to give people money without counting it sometimes . So our house was a Mecca of sought back in the days. He was a real community leader. Not until he passed away that we begin to really appreciate the many good qualities in him. Since his death I have never heard any of the children speaking ill of him contrary to what we used to do in his life times.
