Let international community wear googles and watch very well o because if he comes out and still misbehaves remember that it's an offense in Nigeria to practice homosexuality and it's punishable with 14 years jail term so this 6 months is just warning shots.
If you choose to be a pondan fine but go practice that immorality where it is legal simple or is that too hard?
When i hear people advocating for this immorality and that crap talk about international community i wish their parent was gay so they wouldn't have procreated then such a person wouldn't exist to advocate immorality.

Religion / Re: Who Started Terrorism? Christians Or Muslims by TUANKU(m): 11:28pm On Apr 13
Both religions have a history of terrorism. These two religions tried to wipe out other religions that existed before them and still exist and both literally forced people to convert.
People were tied to a stake a burnt alive for refusing to convert, women for using any for of beauty enhancement/make up.
99% of school shootings or Shopping Malls in the US were carried out by Christians and that is terrorism.
Many people just use religion as a smokescreen, someone of the same faith with you will cheat/kill you without thinking twice.
There are other religions that still exist today but it's always Christians and Muslims bickering all the time like co-wives.

Opay have wonderful services when it comes to transfers and merchant payments.

But they are not a bank sir.

You've been making some very uninformed statements here.

That banks contract you for IT services doesn't make you an Oracle in finance. LEARN!
I am uninformed sir...that's why i learn everyday. I might not be an oracle in finance but i sure know what i was talking about.

Well this isn't an ego measuring contest but you can stroke yours all you want. You can be pedantic all you want and even pick on the type of font I'm using but if you can't pick the facts from what I've posted then you're not very bright. I'm not going to spell check or grammar check because of you.
oPay is not a bank. They're not the best at what they do. Their services suit a certain demographic more, it doesn't make them the best and they have their own failings.

And like I said throwing personal insults just shows on your character.

Remind me to seek your opinion when I'm looking for advice on application vulnerabilities.

There's no harm in knowing where your knowledge stops, go and educate yourself. Understand the difference between a private and public company (because clearly you do not). Then understand the type of license oPay uses and how it's is different from what conventional banks use. And like a poster pointed out, comparing the two is like comparing apples to oranges.

When you can explain dig up their financial statement and explain how that valuation was reached, then I can listen to you.

It was a healthy argument until you went off by claiming i was ignorant about finance so i only let you know i have a good idea about what i said.
No ill feelings, sorry if i said anything offensive to you, i take it back.

oPay is not a bank. Mtn provides banking services it doesn't make them a bank.
They're a Mobile Money Operator

Can oPay receive international transactions, can oPay give you a mortgage, do they provide overdraft services? Like I said, there's a certain demographic that oPay fits and provides the most value to but you can't say they're better than all banks.

No bank is better than all banks. I guess you're not sophisticated in your use of financial so you wouldn't understand. Transfers and deposits is not all a bank does. I don't even use the same banks for my personal and corporate accounts because I understand that certain offerings meet different needs. Some banks will provide services to suit big companies while the services provided by others provide a better value proposition for small businesses. They suit your needs doesn't make them the best bank.

p.s. They aren't even a bank.
Go and check their mission statement and stop making a fool of yourself. Their focus is on domestic banking services and they are doing it better than any local bank and ordinary Nigerians who use their services are satisfied with it.
Look who is talking about sophistication grin...Banza kawaii.

Don't mind some people with their sentiments. I asked him to name his bank let's compare their services with Opay but he is yet to reply.
Opay, Palmpay, Moniepoint offer very good services without the need for Insha Allah grin

Explain the incompetence you talk about and I can tell you that oPay is plagued with equal or more in measure. I have a several current accounts with conventional banks I don't get unnecessary deductions, in fact, I only get charged a maintenance fee if I exceed a certain monthly threshold and I've only observed that with one particular bank.

I have not been to a bank branch in a long time, I send and receive international payments in the comfort of my home. I am provided with overdraft and loan facilities without even needing to enter a branch.

I believe there is a certain demographic that oPay appeals to but generally they don't have the depth of services that conventional banks provide.

Yes they need to improve in certain areas like cyber-security and customer service but they can't take all the blame for certain customer errors. People need to take their security serious too, they submit their bvn and banking details to every website / app and expect their money to be safe? Even the other places you talk of, customers lose their funds if they don't take their security serious.
I already explained it in the post you just replied to sir. Opay is better than your bank, name that your bank sir and let's compare their services.

They are public companies, they aren't private. A microfinance bank like Kuda can be considered private. Opay is also private they aren't required to publish audited financials for the public to see. So, whatever metrics they used for the valuations, it is Insha'Allah.

On poor service, I don't know where you bank, but I've received optimal service from all my banks - services that oPay cannot provide.
Who told you that? grin grin grin
So NDIC that registered them requires that from others but not from them? Are you kidding? This is not the year 2000 bro.

You have to consider too that oPay is a private company and startup so they can move fast and break things. For a Nigerian public company the NSE and it's investors aren't so forgiving. They might not really have as much money as you may believe to play around.

I say infinite funding because if SoftBank puts in $1billion into oPay, even if you have the most clueless CEO, it'll still take you a long way. (They put in $16billion into WeWork and I believe that isn't even their largest investment.) So, yes, infinite funding because if SoftBank believes oPay can be profitable and they need more money, they'll do more funding rounds.
Nigerian banks are private too and Opay has shareholders too so what's the point?
Are you trying to say it's lack of funding that made Nigerian banks to offer poor services? Ya'Allah grin
