SportsRe: Will You Be Watching AFCON 2015? by tuffgongjo(m): 9:57am On Nov 20, 2014
Why won't I watch it?
I watch even league two matches so why will I pass the chance of seeing "African best"?.
I don't watch Nigeria only,I watch Football as a Whole.

SportsRe: Nigerian Fans Are To Blame For Today's Draw To South Africa by tuffgongjo(m): 9:51am On Nov 20, 2014
Are the fans to be blamed? No
Everywhere in the world we see fans clamoring for a player they love$who is performing better than a player in the national set up should be called back.
Fans will always boo a team when they don't deliver,Tottenham Hotspur$Newcastle united are recent example, fans calling for the sack of a coach is no excuse for failure also, look at Alan Pardew of Newcastle he used the anger of the fans for a positive change,Big Sam is also an example.
So blaming the fans is just a Flimsy$unaccepted excuse for the failure of Keshi, his crew,Nff$those un-serious bunch of players who doesn't deserve to be ever called up again.

Sunday Oliseh has not even coached an academy of football. Yet, you guys want him to coach the national team. If Oliseh is serious to coach, he should pick up an age grade side and let us judge.
people saying Oliseh should take over are Jokers, what are is experiences?

After spending their hard earned money, they boo the team. These fans should know their support can help the team turn around the fortunes of the game?
Even brazilians booed their boys$coach(even cursed their president)when they lost scandalously against Germany,if you fail to deliver when it is most important most, you should expect such.

[b]Coach Keshi Failed Nigerians

I am writing this with a broken heart. Today's match against South Africa and Uyo was supposed to be a winning game. The signs was there. However, Coach Keshi like all other previous coaches fell into the same problem. Yielding to pressure to stick to the so called Super Eagles.

At Uyo, we watched a team that showed promise. There were players there that could fill in the regions we were lacking. Most notably, Emem Eduok. His movement and brilliance around the eighteen yard box was something we lacked a long time. It is sad, we had such a player and he never got his opportunity.

The biggest mistake of the night was Coach Keshi not giving Aluko a chance to start. Sone Aluko was the reason we had a chance to turn the match around. He brought in spark to the team in the game against Sudan. The second leg match. He was refreshing, creative and played with passion. He had the same impact in the match against Congo. I thought the lad had done enough to merit a starting role. Why he did not start? I can not understand. If we started with Aluko, the game would have been different.

How Emenike gets a chance to play terrible and merit his starting shirt? Beats my imagination. I remember during the last game, I hoped whoever came on for Emenike should score and take his place. It happened that Aaron Samuel came in for Emenike and scored.

Why Aaron Samuel did not start? Shocking. Finally, Onazi might be a hard worker, but he is technically deficient. He leaves the simple to go for he extraordinary and achieves worse than the ordinary. Joseph Nathaniel should have started.

Coach Keshi developed a habit of letting players playing poorly continue. He had done a good job, raising new stars for the team. However, when he needed them the most, he did not use them.

If I am correct, Coach Keshi did not use his third substitution. It was clear, Emenike out for Emem Eduok. That is why I started this article pointing out Emem Eduok. Coach Keshi not making that change was disappointing. If there is any lesson he should learn from this match, always punish poor performers by benching them.

Ahmed Musa, the thunder that will fore you is still doing press up. Nansense.

Playing two unfit defenders caused us. Coach Keshi should have been able to get defenders from the local leagues.
I only watch bit part of the first half,so I will say that Egwueke$musa were the culprit.

SportsRe: Three Players Keshi Should Drop For South Africa Clash by tuffgongjo(m): 4:35am On Nov 19, 2014
thegoodjoehunt3:
Mikel Obi can not be dropped. We have no midfielder with his brilliance and touch on the ball. Mikel is the only midfielder we have who know when we are to keep possession. At that time, he plays short passes and backward passes. And when we are to attack. He plays through balls and long balls.

If you watch his game closely, you will see he is actually our guest player.
No matter how much I make fun of Mikel,he is still our best midfielder, without him that team is just like a "rudderless ship".

Amazing article. It is high time we get up as people in charge of our lives and environment. There is always something we can do to save ourselves and those we love from catastrophe.

I think we should speak out louder against evil in our government. If we do not, we risk ourselves.

For instance, we have no testing facility to help local researchers fight diseases. No matter how long we criticise the foreigners, we inhibit ourselves by letting corrupt ones rule and destroy the society.

Let us act and speak out. Slowly, we will see the change we want to see in the world.
words seems not to penetrate our leaders,(pardon my naievity)I think not until we act like the citizens of Burkina faso will we get something tangible going in this our nation.

I also do not follow the local football league. That is bad of me. I will follow it from now on. I watched Joseph Nathaniel against Ghana. The boy is good.

I did not know we have good talents in our local leagues. The stand out ones are Emem Eduok, Mfon Udoh, Pyagbara, Joseph Nathaniel, Sokari, Rabiu Ali. These guys can support the team in areas showing weakness.
I watched d match also, can't point out more than 3players I have to start watching naija league soon.

I do not think he is strong enough for that role against African teams. Joseph Nathaniel is the best. Strong, fast, plays his role without given gap, a tough tackler, passes wheel, both long and short. He is also intelligent in reading games.
I don't know the Joseph guy cus I don't watch naija league(bad of me),but azeez replacing onazi is a no no for me.

At the end, Coaches who play exciting football are those who make me love the game. History does not remember the great Netherland team of 1974, 1978 but when I watch their games, I get delighted remembering how wonderful art can be created on a football pitch.
I also love exciting football.
Pep is termed d greatest now because he played exciting football$won some unbelieveable numbers of trophies,Cruijjf cus of "total football"$most importantly cus of trophies.
The 86 WC squad of brazil isn't so prominent cus of their failure.

Lampard was good. He was not as bad as Thierry Henry was at Juventus. That is what I am trying to point out.

If you ask people then, to list the EPL best players then, Lampard's name will be mentioned. Even though, under Mourinho, Pampered changed to some thing else.
You saying that for d first time but doesn't rule out the fact he was an average guy till 2005.I doubt if they will list him because he their were lotsa of midfielder ahead of him those days.

The following season, he was selected as the Barclays Player of the Month in :

September 2003, and the PFA Fans' Player of the Month in October.

Chelsea finished 2nd in the 2003–04 Premier League behind unbeaten Arsenal and he was named in the 2004 PFA Team of the Year as he reached double figures in league goals (10) for the first time in his career, in addition to four goals in fourteen UEFA Champions League matches, as Chelsea advanced to the semi-finals.

In the semi-final against Monaco he scored, but Chelsea lost 5–3 on aggregate.

***********

Lampard's development was done under Ranieri, not Mourinho. He was a top player. Mourinho took him from a top player to one of the top 5 in the World. However, Lampard was not average before Mourinho.

He maybe showing flashes but he was still average if you compare it with his "monster" records from 2005 till date.

However, if anyone watched football in 1999-2001, Hector Cuper cannot be forgotten. Especially his boys like Gerard, Claudio Lopez, Mendietta, Angloma, Angulo and Kily Gonzalez.

Their counter attacks were breath taking. Sad they lost that final to Real Madrid. That goal of Raul was a dagger to the heart. However, those of us that watched them then, will never forget Valencia before Benitez.
But you know "History doesn't favor the losers"?not undermining his days though.

I agree here. Coach Ranieri plays for glamour than titles. Title winning takes shrewdness. Coach Ranieri got Chelsea playing wonderfully, Mountain, turned them to winners.

By the way, Coach Ranieri, Mou battle in 2009/2010 was refreshing for the game in Italy. Mourinho won the league, Ranieri finished second. In the Coppa Italia, Mourinho beat him at the finals. If not Mou, Ranieri would have had an amazing 2010.

Coach Hector Cuper was my man. His 5-3 aggregate against Barca and Lazio was amazing. Sad he fell off the scene after Inter Milan.
Hector is a "nearly man".
Ranieri$cuper won't be remembered in the next decade, most peeps here sef don't know who cuper is.
