It regulates the Telecom infrastructure used, standards and Telecom quality of service is ensured by them. They sell spectrum. they ensure adequate broadband penetration etc.... it is one of the best paying commissions in Nigeria, I know that's what you want to hear grin

You can work and be paid from home but it's gonna require a very huge investment on your own part. First of all you need to learn to code. This will take you around 6 months to at least get the front end part of web development right. Once you are proficient in the front-end you can start applying to jobs. Trust me you are gonna face a lot of rejections but the jobs are there. Let's say it takes 100 applications to land 10 interviews. You can send out 100 applications in one day if you are serious. There's also freelancing sites like Upwork but you need money to get started on Upwork or you would be frustrated and come to nairaland and shout it doesn't work.

Lol
OK Bro.
Thank you

yes it is true. But don't kid yourself, programmers are a dime per dozen out there. For u to land a job from those guys overseas, u need to stand out exceptionally in what u do. No two ways about that. Average performance won't get u anywhere

Yes you are right. Thanks.

If money is the major reason you'll want to learn programming, you'll be frustrated before you begin.

I was just being sarcastic Bro. I know nothing good comes easy. Thanks.

If you enter programming with such mindset to be an over-night millionaire then be ready for disappointments.

Those who excel in programming are those who see it with passion, with that same passion the patience will be there, don't go into programming because you heard there is money in it.
If the passion and patience is not there then please just reverse back.

Thank you. I understand. I was just being sarcastic. I haven't even started was just asking. That's exactly the way my friend was hyping the job abroad and pay like she lives and work there grin. She's not a programmer sef. I have other courses I'm taking online for now tho.

Yes, you can.

I am a living testimony.

I am a freelance digital marketer though and have never worked for a Nigerian company

After learning, go online (Facebook, Twitter, etc) and join programmers' groups.

Employers often post openings from time to time. They may ask you to do a simple test to assess your competence.

If you pass, you will join the company.

Information Technology breaks geographic borders.

Wow. Thanks for this. Please, can I PM you. Would love to have a longg chat with u.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I studied estate mgt, a mum and wife. I'm way above 18☺. A friend told me I can do Web programming/coding and work from home. She said there are companies overseas that will employ me once I'm good at it. I'm ready to go for it but I want to ask if it's true I can work nd be paid in dollars or pounds from home?

[quote author=tensazangetsu20 post=93698742]Well I did marine engineering. It took me a year after graduation with thousands of applications to get one interview. The jobs didn't even exist. I just sent out my CVs to the email address of shipping companies and prayed something hit.

I ran a business for a while and learnt to code and men it's so easy to get a programming job. It's only in the tech industry that one would apply for jobs and be getting an interview 3 hours later. Do well in an interview and you would be getting a job the next day.

I thought it's just me as a marine engineer but apparently many of my friends with engineering degrees can't get jobs. The jobs don't even exist. It's not about going online and sending out applications. How do you send out applications to what isn't there. The world is changing now. Proper research on the job market has to be done before one goes into the university. Don't go based on hearsay. Go and do your findings yourself.[/quote

Please can somebody point out to me the insult Daddy Freez melted on Oyedibo that make David to call him bastard?
The only thing I see in the freez comment is sensible equal submission comment. Could this be the reason David is running Mad on the Altar and threatening to kill. I fear Nigerian pastors

My brother I tire o. Where is the Insult?
Religion / Re: David Ibiyeomie: Daddy Freeze Is A Bastard For Insulting Oyedepo, My Father by tunbebes(f): 3:53pm On Sep 07, 2020
I think this is the same pastor that locked Kemi Olunloyo up for spreading the story about his affair with Iyabo Ojo. Freeze is right tho, a woman must be submissive to her husband and the husband must honour her in return. His prayers will be hindered Ifor he doesn't honour his wife.
