A friend needs about 2 or 3 schools to apply to for MS in Biochemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Chemistry with WES evaluation and GRE but no TOEFL. Any suggestions?
Boss, I dunno why guys dun want to do toefl, in my opinion, it's way more easy dan gre.. Even with about 2 to 3 days preparation, I had 87(ibt) as I no sabi book reach. And d minimum cut off for most schools is 79.. So anyone cud pass toefl.

I presume u are going for underG degree. Searching for schools that offers ur intending course should be primary, not the ones that won't request for TOEFL or SAT. SAT isn't a test for English proficiency and most schools would request this from an intending underG student even if they waive TOEFL and its likes.

So my advise, hop on Google and search for US schools offering ur course.
HI boss,

Visa approved ystdy, Lagos consulate.
I must confess, it's been a wonderful experience here on this thread. Never a dull moment reading and following this thread. God bless everyone who has been of help and to those that shared their transcripts, approved or delayed, y'all simply rock. We go all reach our destination and goals by God's grace.

Fast forward to ystdy morning, 6.30am.. After all security checks, both outside n inside the embassy, finally got to join the interview session queue.. D standing no be here o.. Stood for almost 3hrs, I no even siddon since I got to the embassy.

Finally at windows 2,
I can't really remembered who greeted first thou but we sha greeted each other.
VO: pass ur documents.
ME: passed it. (passport, ds160, i20, passport photo. All as arranged by d cgi officer)
VO: I'd need u to place ur left hand four fingers on the biometric machine.
ME: placed it.
VO: So what are your study plans in the US?
ME: i plan to obtain my masters degree in Computer science with focus on database administration.
VO: how did find out about this school?
ME: basically, it was through Google which led to some other educational website where I got to know more about it ratings and recognition.
VO: So why did you choose d school?
ME: Aside from it recognition, it offers a well-structured curriculum dat is practical oriented. It emphasize technical and professional education by combining academic coursework with extensive projects... VO Cuts in.
VO: what are the courses u'd be taken?
ME: mentioned dem.. Both pre-requisites n normal normal ones.
VO: who's paying?
ME: my dad.
VO: what does he do?
ME: told him
VO: So why did you choose this school?
ME: (i don tell u b4 na.. Dis time I was getting off balance) the school has a very safe and conducive environment for learning and bla bla bla, the faculty is dedicated with faculty to student ratio of... VO cuts in.
VO: u can't tell me u choose a school because of all dis.. Did you apply to other schools?
ME: Yes.. Mentioned 4 other schools..
VO: ok.. Now, tell me what really made u choose dis school? (now, he took my passport, removed d i20 n separated both, so I knew dis was d decision time)
ME: in my mind, which kine wahala be dis God..
Now told him, d school offers 4 different plans with wich one can obtain a masters degree, mentioned d plans, and told him I could choose from d plan whichever datz convenient for me.
VO: So what plan did you choose?
ME: i can't decide on a plan yet until I get to school and meet with d department chairperson, den I can choose a plan.
VO: he was saying sumtinz.. I no even hear the rest of what he was saying.. I sha know he held on to my passport, passed my i20 n d golden white paper after circling whr I'd pick up my passport.
ME: Thank you x100.. Happy new year in advance. Smiling and bouncing out.

No documents asked.. It was just God.. I followed some people advice here to fast and be prayerful.. I did d best I could n thank God it worked out.. Preparation really matters too, please search as much as you can about why you choose a school cuz I guess dat was my own major area of questioning. To everyone dats always helpful on dis thread, God bless you all.
Thanks nairaland for d informations.

Hello my beautiful people... As some of you would recollect, I was denied an F1 VISA at the Lagos Consulate on Aug 5 this year (Part 7 thread) and fast forward to today. VISA was approved at same consulate (Window 3)!

Me: Project Management with focus on Information Technology (I included IT because I wanted him to ask me why IT and reason for this is below)

Hi bro, congrats.. Was ur focus on Information Technology written on ur i-20?

Please which is the most reliable education
valuation service? Apart from WES,which is most
reliable when u look at the cost, effective, and
timeframe? Your views will be appreciated.
WES is the commonly used evaluation coy by Nigerians. However, u can visit www.naces.org for a list of other evaluation coy.

use any diamond bank atm machine and change your IPIN to any other four digit number and don't worry about your default IPIN because it just doesn't ask for it, just hit the change IPIN button there and then fill in the new pin twice
Ok.. fanx..

Not really.
They could take money from your account and return it afterwards. It's a security measure to protect the owner of the card, such that if the card is not yours or if it's a stolen card the rightful owner would have the opportunity to report an unauthorized withdrawal from his account. This way, they'll know it's a stolen card, if however such complaint does not arise then it is deemed authentic and the money returned.
I think that's how it works.
Ok.. Really appreciate..
