Since 1999,governors directly or indirectly decide who becomes president.in 1999,majority supported obj and won.in 2003,obj had to go on his knees to get their support before he got his way.in 2007,majority of them supported yaradua and he won.same thing applied to 2011.but in 2015,most of them were against gej.majority of pdp governors were against him or remain neutral plus all apc governors that were for buhari.
Going into the 2019 polls,almost all apc governors support buhari.most pdp governors except wike,dankwambo,ortom and fayose are friendly with buhari.some like umahi,ayade,ikpeazu,udom have not hidden their likeness for buhari.buhari has been more friendly to the governors than any other president in nigeria's history.none of the pdp candidates can get the entire support of the pdp governors except dankwambo.tambuwal as a defector will be viewed with suspicion.
Buhari has allowed the governors much room and helped in everyway possible.he has not for once opposed them in anything.this is unprecedented.
Finally,some will argue that support of the majority of the masses is the biggest factor but most of our leaders were not the choice of the majority.popular support alone cant win elections except combined with other factors.even if majority of nigerians are against buhari,other factors must come in play.

Ortom and Female got into power on the shoulder of Akume who is laying hold on the political structure of APC, yet the man is still in charge. What do you expect of someone who is seeking for a return.

Tambuwal became a Governor in Sokoto using Former Governor Wamako structure who is the power that be in APC politics in the state. What do you expect of a governor who will be seeking for a return, he will surely try his luck for Presidency and later on governorship primaries.

What of Senator Hankuni who also defected, it is not because of Buhari, but El Rufai

A Senator who can't visit his Bauchi home without being booed by the people or one who can't go to Kaduna north without being stoned think taking side with Saraki would give them another term?

These guys fail to realise that you have to come from Kwara to get a seat in the Senate with Saraki's influence. Saraki himself can not go to Bauchi and stand on a podium for political campaign without being pelted with sachet water if not stoned. Some things are too simple yet very difficult for some people to understand. More than 90% of these people will be put out of political relevance permanently after 7 months from now. Their request for automatic tickets for 2019 was justifiably rejected by APC's top hierarchy by asking them to go for Direct Free kick....sorry Primary. I wonder how they'd expect a responsible political party to give them automatic ticket when they've been the major hindrance to the progress of the country since they hijacked the leadership of the National Assembly in 2015.

Let them get the tickets from PDP, Obasanjo's ADC or any other platform that is ready and let them test their popularity at the polls in February, 2019. Since they failed to alter the election timetable to favour them, it hasn't been well with them.

I am not going to bore you with stories. Let them get other parties' tickets and let those who can't visit their constituencies in day time but are being applauded by people who are not registered to vote in their constituencies weigh themselves at the polls.

The same people who hailed Nnamdi Kanu to oblivion and Fayose to political coma are praising these dramatists now and they are feeling on-top-of-the-world.
