It is APC that is very poorly grounded in South south and south east.

Both in quantity and quality in this defection season PDP is the net gainer and it shall be till buhari is ousted next year.
Before the defection season opened, in the north 2 of its 3 regions (NW and NC) didn't have PDP presence by governorship, today, all the regions have via sokoto NW and kwara,Benue NC as well as gombe, taraba NE.

Similarly only southern kaduna senator Laah was the only one for PDP in the 7states of NW. Today, the story is refreshingly different with heavy weight senators Hunkuyi in kaduna north, kwakwanso in kano as well as senators in jigawa and sokoto!

No matter how apc try to spin it, PDP is with the momentum!

Don't be surprised at all, it is all about personal interest and nothing else. He's simply positioning himself for bigger role in 2019. If he can play his cards well and deliver Akwa-Ibom, he may emerge as the next Senate president. It's really looking good for him since the south east that ordinarily should produce the next Senate president are more interested in being vice president to Atiku or any of the PDP candidates.

Overall, this is a very big catch for the APC. It evens out whatever gains PDP might have made from Saraki's defection. Akpabio is also a well known deep pocket, that's an added advantage to APC.

Overall, PDP is the net gainer with the defections. 3govs 15 senators and 33 reps including Senate president is just too massive!

Wamako is not just trying to take over o, he's the owner of the structure and has always been in charge. Tambuwal contested on his platform in 2015. Sokoto is locked down for APC no doubt.
