Politics › Re: Police Speak As Supreme Court Decides Adeleke, Oyetola’s Fate Tomorrow by tuniski: 3:06am On Jul 05, 2019 |
garfield1: My brother, the supreme court settled that matter in faleke vs inec 2016.the supreme court said that satisfying the constitutional requirements as slept out in section 179 is not automatic that you are the winner except inec declares you and makes a return.elections cannot be concluded except inec says so and makes a return.section 178 says the whole state is the constituency of the govetnorship polls therefore elections must take place everywhere.please tuniski read the 2016 judgment and stop deceiving yourself or i can send it to you while you pay me.try and be updated.
Again, the supreme court are always guided by their past rulings, there are very conservative like a secret society, very rigid.they dont overrule themselves on a previous ruin except an application for departure of judgment is lodged and pdp failed to do so concerning the osun matter.on the otherhand, the apc reminded the supreme court of its ruling of 2016 and asked it to abide by it.anyway, all these wont be discussed.the matter will be dismissed based on technicalities. It will be discussed that is why it is taken separately. I repeat Kogi's election where the front runner died just before result were declared and winner return ain't the same with Osun's. No any other previous guber election petition is like the Osun's. Today we shall see the extent of technicality. Today's judgement will have far reaching effect. |

Politics › Re: Atiku's Legal Team Storms Tribunal With 50 Boxes Of Election Materials by tuniski: 6:43pm On Jul 04, 2019 |
garfield1: Shey i told you that the primary evidence at election cases must be polling units based and looking at those boxes,it is from polling units not ward or lga as you thought.why is atiku not presenting server exhibits first Why will he present server result first when the controversy is yet to be resolved. The server result will be the validation of the inconsistencies and manipulations that will be revealed with the materials being presented. The substance of boxes will show clear manipulation in simple. Arithmetic between wards and LG declared results. The fraud were committed there. |

Politics › Re: Police Speak As Supreme Court Decides Adeleke, Oyetola’s Fate Tomorrow by tuniski: 5:51pm On Jul 04, 2019 |
garfield1: You have scanty or limited knowledge yet you refuse to accept it and upgrade yourself.daily, you justify by your online inactions.immediately you saw the ballot boxes atiku presented in court, you were overwhelmed like ignorant fellows forgetting that atiku's lawyers must first use it to demonstrate irregularities.the judges will never fish for evidence for you,you must show it yourself.
Ask yourself, why didnt the supreme court declare supplementary polls illegal when it was faced with that issue in kogi, taraba and imo? Look through all supreme court rulings, you will see a common feature, judicial precedents and citations.in this case, you have none. Anyway, the case will likely be dismissed before the substantive matter is heard.the absence of justice obiora is fatal.there are 7 precedents.Apart from that in a normal case, when a judge wont be available in a sitting, the court usually adjourns.that sums it all Why do you always sound like this? No any rerun, runoff or what have you is similar to Osun's. Tomorrow's verdict will shape the constitutional provision of section 179 while validating or nullifying the 'margin of victory' introduction which is actually like a constitutional amendment. The hope of #teamOyetola is hanging on the speculative absence of justice Obiora on February 26. Again, because u are very linear in thought, you assumed it was the volume of boxes that shows substance of petition. The Atiku petition is going straight at the manipulation and inconsistencies at substantial levels. Wards,LG then state. For the PUs the pink copies are available. |

garfield1: My annoyance is that when adeleke loses tomorrow, you will pretend as if nothing happens and continue following the path of failure. You have to truly evolve not just in politics but life in general to unerstand that once conclusive an end result has been attained. Whether favorable or not, you move on. You are too emotionally attached to political perspective that is why you get annoyed for nothing. Let's assume Oyetola wins Tomorrow shebi the reasons will be given. We all take that and move on. Or you expect one to be mulling Or Crying? Na wa for you. The whole essence of judicial trial is to find justice amongst contending parties. If it were straightforward that A or B is the justice, there won't be need for Trial. Same for Elections. |

Tajbol4splend: Even the independents voted for Buhari again despite failing in his first tenure and the irony of the election is that Buhari had vote increase in the whole of South East in 2019 compared to 2015 from 198248 of 2015 to 403968 of 2019, a mammoth difference of 205720 votes, the region that supposedly don't do Buhari, the region where we have people that criticize Buhari most, ain't that funny enough. The election was rigged! |
Politics › Re: Police Speak As Supreme Court Decides Adeleke, Oyetola’s Fate Tomorrow by tuniski: 5:02pm On Jul 04, 2019 |
greggng: That is not the issue here. The issue is what the electoral law said with respect to the 3000k votes that led to the suplimentsry election. Before the suplimentsry election he was leading by 235 votes...are you now saying that they should throw away the 3000k votes and make adeleke winner? Our electoral law is wiser than your sentiment The constitution is superior to electoral act and it clearly says in section 179 that once results are declared and a candidate has simple majority and 25% in 2/3 LGs then he be declared winner. Adeleke/pdp met that constitutional provision on Sept 22nd and should have been duly return elected. The Sept 27 supplementary is illegal. That is one of the grounds the supreme court will rule on tomorrow. |

Tajbol4splend: You are talking as if things made sense in Nigeria, as if people analysed candidates before they would make a choice, you should know that majority of Nigerians don't care who you are, they already know what political party they want to vote for, despite Buhari failing Nigerians, didn't some people still vote for him? It is the same world wide. No matter the candidates democrats or rebuplicans presents in America, democrats will still largely vote democratic party while republicans too republican party . Only the independents analyse candidates and policies. |

Tajbol4splend: So tell me, 1. How are you sure Atiku will better the state of things in Nigeria?
2. How do you measure reality to conclude that Atiku was the best among those contestants? There is no need for this back and forth. Let us assume that INEC result was true reflection of things, it meant that 15m believe buhari is best while 11m believe Atiku is. The remaining 71 don't have a million people believing in them combined. The choice therefore is truly between Buhari and Atiku. Depending on your socio-political cum economic leanings, either of the Two suffice. Those leaning socialism voted Buhari while those leaning capitalism went for Atiku. |
