Foreign AffairsRe: Re-emergence Of Hate Crimes: The Extreme Right Wing Connection by tunku(m): 11:02pm On Jun 11, 2009
That is a stretch. The guy was an idiotic right wing islamic convert. To be against the war in Iraq does not a left wing make. This guy is every bit a fundamentalist as the murder in Kansas and D.C.
Foreign AffairsRe: America Military Base In Ghana. Is This Good For Ghana And West Africa Countries by tunku(m): 9:50pm On Jun 11, 2009
Horus is this egyptian for dumbass or something? Which African nation is the model for serving the national interest of its people? Which African nation isn't being run by multinationals? Take Omar Bongo for instance. This guy was an unapologetic lapdog of France. What about our own Nigeria, do not the oil companies have undue influence over the government? Please, don't let your tinfoil hat crumble or America might broadcast brain melting waves to kill you. Africa has never been free, so what if Africom comes into being. there are command bases in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and even Cuba, are these countries being ruled over by the Americans? NO! Hell, this base might even further strengthen the democratic institutions of Ghana if indeed that is where it is planted.
Foreign AffairsRe: Re-emergence Of Hate Crimes: The Extreme Right Wing Connection by tunku(m): 9:43pm On Jun 11, 2009
Where is this left wing act of terrorism that has happened? I am sorry, but trying to apportion equal blame in the sake of political equilibrium is just fucking stupid. These right wing nuts have no gumptions about killing anyone that disagrees with them.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama And Netanyahu - Sense Of Entitlement Crushed. by tunku(m): 9:29pm On Jun 11, 2009
So what are you doing on these boards with all the rest of us blind morons? Last I checked this forums isn't specifically oriented towards anything pro or anti-israeli. I find it incredulous that we are even discussing this stupid conflict in a forum for Nigerians and specifically geared towards Nigeria. Sounds like you'd be more comfortable in an Aipac forum than in here Davidlyan. Unfortunately or fortunately for us you can't snipe us unarmed posters like the so many that were cut down during the holiday invasion of Gaza. Here is a question that I would like to post to you and your Hamas and Hizbollah brothers. Where has wailing on each other for over 70 years got you? Don't worry in another 40 or more years no one will give a hoot whether Israel wants to destroy its neighbor or they the same. Once the world learns to ween itself off of oil who needs a Spartan state in the Middle East to protect its interest. Hell what is the use of Israel as a bulwark against them "muslin terrist" when American soldiers and troops have had to invade that region twice within 12 years. Gee, maybe blind support for Israel isn't exactly in our best interest, Maybe saying to the children in these country that hey peace is better than nurturing an hatred in your heart that turns you into an extremist whether serving the IDF, Hamas, Hizbollah or whatever is the way to go.
PoliticsRe: The Proposed Harvard Training For Governors by tunku(m): 11:08am On Jun 11, 2009
Finely worded reply Horus but utterly lacking of any semblance of insight into the pernicious and comically inept suggestions of these dunces. 1st: these men supposedly ran for office with a clear vision and plan for improving the lives of their constituency and not for the sake of power alone, hint, hint, its the latter. 2nd: these men are old men, they've been "elected" to a position which they out of their own volition "campaigned" for; the fact that they hold "elected" office comes with the implicit conclusion that they know what they are running for, why they are running, and what they want to do once they've won the race. The incredulous forthrightness with which they openly declare themselves to be dunces in a position where in a healthy democracy the electoral process would have weeded out the chaff from the wheat just speaks volume as to the, as yet, unrealized hopes and aspiration of our democratic system in its most basic form and function: which is electing leaders rather than having them be selected. Again finely worded response Horus, but it is not applicable to these dunces. Naively we've taken them at their word as to why they want to go to Harvard, cynically we all know deep down this is just another money laundering exercise for these jackals.
PoliticsInexhaustible Hope For Nigeria. by tunku(op): 10:58am On Jun 11, 2009
I believe that Nigeria is improving and that it is on the right path much more now than ever during military rule. The poor pace of improvement is appalling but hope as it is said "springs eternal." Surely I am not the only one that feels this way? Of course not, so I propose that we use this thread as a clearing house that things that give you hope about Nigeria. The building of a FTZ along with a port in Ondo has me excited http://www.ondostate.gov.ng/olokola.php Sure massive corruption still haunts Nigeria like a vampire but at least the country is lurching forward. I do not know the timeline for the completion of the FTZ in OGUN and Ondo any ore info would be great. Also feel free to post whatever gives you hope about Nigeria
Foreign AffairsRe: 1million Dollar Mistakenly Thrown Away Inside A Mattress! by tunku(m): 9:51am On Jun 11, 2009
stashing cash in your mattress is just plain stupid. If you want to feel safe just put it in a savings account. That money isn't being used for idiotic investment and if the bank does go down most countries insure your deposits. If it was gold coins she was stashing away that I would understand, but it was cash. What if the Israeli economy suffers hyperinflation, either way it will still wipe out her savings. Since paper money isn't pegged to anything anymore this was just stupid period and would have been better being kept in a bank.

I hope you guys understand that these fools are led by the self styled Mr Chairman of the governors forum, Bukky omo "Saraki Baba Bukola". He is a self styled polished governor who was once reported as querring his staff on assumption of office if any of them is a graduate of Havard or Oxford. He is looking out for your interest, the best is what you all deserve,  grin
hahahaha Surely the law of averages have to apply to Nigeria. All these idiots brain matter wouldn't even power a light bulb if put together no matter where they studied. I mean Nigeria has got to experience a wave of exceptionally brilliant and insightful governors, senators, and representatives one of these days. Fashola, I hope, is the beginning of this wave
PoliticsRe: The Proposed Harvard Training For Governors by tunku(m): 9:15am On Jun 11, 2009
cheesy If half these fools were elected rather than hack slash and rigged their way into office they wouldn't need harvard to be teaching them about good governance. They would have developed a clear vision and plan for their state before even running for office to begin with, that is if they were actually elected. The only reason they want this program is to use the internationally recognized name of Harvard to legitimize their illegitimate claim to power.
PoliticsRe: Nnpc Did Not Remit $3.6billion- House Of Reps by tunku(m): 8:59am On Jun 11, 2009
Ouch! my soul! I am surprised that the oil companies aren't cheating Nigeria out of more money when the regulatory agency responsible for watching them can't even keep track of the amount that is being pumped and just takes the oil companies word for it. I don't even view it as defrauding the Nigerian people anymore, just wasting opportunities to kickstart a real economy for the country. It's not like they are wasting tax payers money. My optimism for Nigeria has started wearing a cup to protect against the repeated low blows to it by the government.

NIGERIA ISN"T CORRUPT. HELL, EVERY COUNTRY IS. WHAT IT IS IS INCREDIBLY WASTEFUL. NIGERIA IS THE MOST WASTEFUL COUNTRY IN THE UNIVERSE
Foreign AffairsRe: Do You Get Insulted By The Phrase "deepest, Darkest Heart Of Africa"? by tunku(m): 12:48am On Jun 11, 2009
I have my own complaints about the BBC but at the end of the day fighting them tooth and nail will not improve Nigeria or any other African country. Is the BBC racist in its portrayal of Africa, undoubtedly, is it policy? Hard to tell. The continent of Africa garners no respect in the world. Going after racists rather than fixing our own continent first seems like an assbackwards way of doing things.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama And Netanyahu - Sense Of Entitlement Crushed. by tunku(m): 12:40am On Jun 11, 2009
Europe and Israel moving hard right while America, the continent, and the world is moving left towards reconciliation. Quite frankly I don't give a shit about the middle east anymore. It is an an overly indulgent region that the world has invested too much time and resource in. Israel may boast about bombing Iran but they will never do it. Iran may develop nukes but if it uses it it knows that Israel will wipe it off the face of the map. The Palestinians are nothing but stooges in the powerplay between Arabs and Jews, even with a two state solution their future looks bleak. Quite frankly I don't care anymore about the indulgent conflicts of the middle east. They all come off as a bunch of teenagers with their petty battles and grievances. And the motherfucking religious idiots stoking the flames of hate from both isles is quite frankly sickening.

But does that Justify the pogroms against the Igbos in the North? Sanusi seems to think so. I still have my doubts about him and his writings just confirms them. Let me tell you the senate in the States will never even approve of a guy like Sanusi no matter how educated he is.

I am tired of religious bigots such as yourself and others. Both in and out of Christianity, Judaism, Islam,Sikhdom, and many other conservative asshats. So what would you have us do? Invade another muslim country because of the acts of a few? Is it not Obama's administration that has inspire Pakistan to fight back against the Taliban despite years of cuddling from the Bush administration? Is it not Lebanon that just weakened Hizbollah's hold on the country with the advent of Obama's administration?

A sharia advocate quoting prominent marxist theorist, impressive. Nigeria is a freaking sick country regardless of geographic polarity. Education is step number one to fixing this country. What is less impressive is that he didn't touch upon the economy of the north as the title suggests.

This pisses me off to no end. Why invite them? in a country of 140 million or more people are you to tell me that we cannot find a single BLACK industrial farmer amongst the lot of us? This is an extremely stupid move. I hope that they don't get the lease renewed once their 25 years is up. Africa's worship of all things white has let its government to hand over their economies to foreign countries and foreigners. I am sorry but whites from southern Africa are not good news. I do not care about how productive they are. They have these inbred sense of racial superiority that will eventually erode and eat away at any society they come in contact with. If these generals don't know how to farm then turn it over to farmers that know what they are doing. Not Rhodesians.

PoliticsOmar Bongo Dead In Spain :d by tunku(op): 12:18am On Jun 08, 2009
WTF, This guy led one of the richest African nations, oil wealth, small population. Yet his people still suffered.

Gabon leader Omar Bongo 'is dead'

Africa's longest-serving leader, President Omar Bongo of Gabon, has died at the age of 73, French media say.

Mr Bongo had been treated in a clinic in the Spanish city of Barcelona. He was reported to have cancer, and had suspended his activities in May.

Mr Bongo had led his oil-producing West African state since 1967.

In May, a French judge announced an investigation into whether Mr Bongo had used state funds to buy homes and cars in France - a claim denied by Mr Bongo.

The death of the Gabonese veteran leader was reported by AFP news agency, who quoted a French government source, and also by the website of French magazine Le Point, quoting a source close to Mr Bongo's entourage.

There has been no official confirmation so far.

'Powerful dynasty'

Mr Bongo became vice-president in 1967, taking over as head of state later that year after the death of Gabon's first post-independence President, Leon Mba.

Mr Bongo was one of three African leaders being investigated for alleged embezzlement by a French judge - the others are Denis Sassou-Nguesso of the Republic of Congo and Teodoro Obiang Nguema of Equatorial Guinea.

It is alleged that the properties owned by Mr Bongo's family in France could not have been purchased with official salaries alone.

Mr Bongo had denied any wrongdoing.

Analyst say he had built a powerful dynasty in the former French colony during his years in office.

Opposition leaders have claimed his son, Ali-Ben Bongo, currently defence minister, is being manoeuvred to take over.

In 1973, Mr Bongo converted to Islam, changing his name to El Hadj Omar Bongo.

His wife, Edith Lucie Bongo, President Sassou-Nguesso's daughter, died in March 2009.

This begs the question: are many African leaders patriots? I do not think so. He drained his country to benefit France and has the gall to die in Spain.
PoliticsRe: Two More Political Leaders Killed In Guinea-bissau.why Not Nigeria by tunku(m): 10:42pm On Jun 07, 2009
Hell no, do you know the back stories to these killings? The military in Guinea-Bissau deal in drugs, they protect the cocaine trade that pass through that small country by murdering politicians and policemen that try to stop it. G.Bissau is turning into a Narco-state, and West Africa really doesn't need another basket case in the region.
PoliticsRe: Why Should The North Dominate This Country? by tunku(m): 10:39pm On Jun 07, 2009
I am tired of these sick allegations that northerners are inherently the major problem with Nigeria. I say that Nigeria suffers from Bad Leaders period. Looking at other countries, South Africa, in particular. Nigeria still has plenty of chances to get its act together. I honestly do not care about power generation, not to say that it isn't important, but if Yar'dua wants a lasting legacy, just invest in the educational section. Fix up schools, get kids regular supplies and make school free and universal. 1. it gets kids off the streets;2. it creates employment opportunities, 3. you are investing in the huge human capital across Nigeria. Second, the Niger Delta is not lost, rather than sending guns into the region and military thugs, send CAT diggers and construction vehicle, Help them sue the oil companies for reparation--this has a two-fold effect:1. you weaken the grip of these oil companies on the nation;2. The oil companies would be the ones paying to clean and rebuild the delta. Investing in the downstream sector of the oil industry is a must, no longer can Nigeria sit back and collect 'rent' It is high time that the oil companies were nationalized. Saudi Arabia did it with huge booms to its economy, as did Venezuela, why not Nigeria? The power problem is no problem at all, a few billion dollars in tax breaks and subsidies can spurn a homegrown light industry in solar manufacturing, An industry that can light up Nigeria in 10 years or less without the construction of huge traditional power plants. Imagine me, a simple internet bum with all these visionary ideas, and now imagine an actual leader that was fairly elected rather than selected, would not their vision and ambition surpass mine? If you want to know that is wrong with Nigeria look no further than the military, it is these asses that have ruled Nigeria and a still ruling it till today.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria, A Nation Of Idiots ! by tunku(m): 11:51am On Jun 06, 2009
Why is a mega party needed? Do you think that will discourage the riggers from rigging elections? That is assuming that the ruling party is popular to begin with and has actually won elections fairly.
