Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have seized $2.1 million from suspected money launderers at the local wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, Nigeria.

In a statement released today, the NDLEA disclosed that its anti-narcotic agents intercepted and seized $2,198,900 “on the grounds of suspected money laundering at the local wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport (MMA2) Lagos.”

The agency also arrested 46-year-old Ibiteye John Bamidele in connection with the seized funds. The NDLEA statement, signed by its head of public affairs, Ofoyeju Mitchell, revealed that the suspect was arrested as he was about to fly to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

“Preliminary investigation conducted by the Assets and Financial Investigation Directorate of the NDLEA revealed that Ibiteye’s action is in contravention of the money laundering prohibition Act 2011 as amended,” the NDLEA said.

The agency also disclosed that the suspect “alleged that the money belongs to one Dr. Martins Olufemi Thomas, a medical practitioner in Lagos. Investigation conducted by the Agency did not link the money to proceeds of narcotics. However, a country having insurgency challenge cannot afford to ignore suspicious movement of large amount of money.”

The statement added that the NDLEA’s chairman, Ahmadu Giade, had ordered that the suspect and the seized funds be transferred to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for further action.

The NDLEA revealed that the suspect claimed to operate a bureau de change business. It quoted the suspect as saying, “I used to work for Ebi Bureau de Change at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja before I established my company with the name ND&C Global Investment Limited which is yet to be fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). One of my clients, Dr. Martins Olufemi Thomas, gave me the said amount to take to Abuja. I was arrested by NDLEA officers while checking-in the money at MM2 on my way to Abuja.”

Dreaded group Boko Haram is offering to free more than 200 young women and girls kidnapped from a boarding school in the town of Chibok over a year ago.

They are offering to release the girls in exchange for the militant leaders held by the government.

According to an activist, who pleaded anonymity with an international news agency because he was not authorized to talk to reporters on the sensitive issue, it was revealed that Boko Haram’s current offer is limited to the girls from the school in northeastern Nigeria who were abducted in April 2014.

“The new initiative reopens an offer made last year to the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan to release the 219 students in exchange for 16 Boko Haram detainees, the activist said.

He said the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari offers “a clean slate” to bring the militants back to negotiations that was earlier cancelled by different security agencies and their advice to Jonathan.

Meanwhile, according to the President’s spokesperson, Femi Adesina, he had welcomed negotiations with the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists.

Former American president Jimmy Carter, has thrown his weight behind the recent approval of same sex marriage throughout the federation.

When he was asked by Huffington Post’s Marc Lamont Hill whether he believes Jesus would approve of gay marriage, the 39th president of the United States of America answered in the affirmative.

He said: “I believe Jesus would. I don’t have any verse in scripture. … I believe Jesus would approve gay marriage, but that’s just my own personal belief. I think Jesus would encourage any love affair if it was honest and sincere and was not damaging to anyone else, and I don’t see that gay marriage damages anyone else.”

Dapo Adaralegbe a former student of Olabisi Onabanjo University who Mutate into a female as Stephanie Rose got the attention of onlookers few days ago.

She was expelled from the school in 2001 over what was called an identity crisis. Dapo has always been known to have the belief that he is a ‘woman trapped in a man’s body’. This was one of the things that made him relocate to the Netherlands after being expelled from OAU.

There he was operated upon and his gender was changed from male to female. He granted an interview before he travelled abroad. He spoke about his life as a trans-sexu­al, how he is a woman trapped in a man’s body and his ordeal as a student of OAU.

“I was studying Law at the Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU), Ife. I am of the 1995 set, but I had to leave school in 2001 because of pressures. People were too harsh on me; they did not understand me at all.

When I was in school, the school authorities got to know that I slept with my fellow male students. There was also an incident when I had to be admitted in the hospital. I was bleeding from the anus and I had bad pile arising from sexual intercourse.

“When the school got to know the kind of person I was, they sent me to meet a Guidance Counselor, Professor Roger Ma­kanjuola, who was the Vice Chancellor, who took care of me. You know he is a renowned Psychiatrist. He handled all issues relating to psychiatry with me.

He said I was okay and that nothing was wrong with my preferences, sexual-wise. He said it was just because I lived in an environment that did not tolerate that kind of behavior. He recommended that I should meet another Guidance Counselor but I did not follow up. Even at that, there seems to be very little assistance one can get medically in Nigeria.

“After a time, I tried going back to school but they told me I have stayed too long away from the system. I applied to change over to University of Lagos (UNI­LAG) and OAU authorities promised to assist with my transcripts, but they did not send it early, that was how I lost the chance of changing to UNILAG. I eventually dropped out of school.”

“I know this will shock you but I started having sex at the age of six. I had this cousin of mine who used to bring his friend to our house. He was the first to make love to me.

“Since I was small, I realized that I had this feeling that I was a woman. I used to paint myself up and wear girls’ clothes. Nobody stopped or cautioned me. My mother later died when I was 11 years old. My father has other wives and no one par­ticularly bothered about me. I am the last child of my mother, she had four of us,” Dapo reportedly said.

He said he intended to travel abroad and find true love, saying that all the Nigerians he had been with were only interested in sex with him.

“I told you I started having sex at the age of six, but no one in my family no­ticed the problem until I was 14 years old. My father is a Professor of Education. My mother was also a Professor in the same discipline. When my dad got to know, I think he was among the people who made Professor Makanjuola to examine me.

“The truth is that I had gone too far, and I don’t want to talk about my family in this issue. I have slept with a lot of people but my problem is that they were not faithful to me.

They were not committed; we just have sex and they go away. I wish to have a committed partner that is why I have been trying to get a real lover, one that will care about me. In the alternative, I will like to relocate abroad where my kind exist.

In the University, I had several lovers but they were not serious. I have several men that I sleep with, I won’t mention their names. They cut across the low and highly placed, just let’s leave it at that. What I want is a committed partner. If I had a choice between getting cured and go­ing for a surgery that will change my sex to a woman, I will prefer becoming a full woman.

“I am already a trans-sexual, the differ­ence between me and other homosexuals are that while they just have the preference for sleeping with fellow men, I feel that I am a woman; I feel that someone should be making love to me the way men do to women. Since I started having sex, I am usually the female, the dormant partner. But do you know that right now, I need two things; a lover that is committed to me or help me to relocate out of this country,” he reportedly said.

His dreams however became a reality years later when Dapo found his way to Europe where he underwent a plastic sur­gery that transformed him into a complete woman.

Seventeen-year-old Miriam, who escaped from Islamic insurgents, Boko Haram, has explained how she was kidnapped by the extremists and forced to marry a man and became pregnant, before she ran away from their camp.

The teenager, who spoke with a BBC reporter, narrated how she was raped repeatedly after being forced to marry the fighter.

According to This Day, the young woman was held in captivity by Boko Haram for six months last year, and was made pregnant by one of the insurgents whom she later referred to as her husband.




I really hope it is a girl. I would love her more than any boy. A boy would always be known as the son of Boko Haram,” she said.

Boko Haram had attacked her village and taken her captive to a house where she was kept in a small room with about 40 other women.

Mariam stated in her story that she initially resisted any marriage, but eventually agreed after four men were brought out in front of her and had their throats slit.

“This will happen to any girl who refuses to marry,” she added.

On how she eventually escaped, the heavily pregnant teenager said it was her second attempt at trying to flee before successfully escaping.

The man she had been forced to marry reportedly left her alone, and she seized her moment. She ran away and she did not look back until she was home.

“I took something before I left,” she said, and brought out a SIM card belonging to her husband.

“My husband,” Miriam added, “If he ever sees me again, he will kill me. The men in my family are dead. I am just alone with my mum.

“God will avenge me. There’s nothing more I can say.”

Nollywood star actress-cum-Evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has maintained that her new status will not stop her from doing what made her very popular, acting.

According to her, acting is her source of income and does not have the intention to quit the profession because of her job as a minister of God.

Eucharia also said Christianity does not forbid anyone from working. She disclosed that Christianity is not a religion, but a way of life.

“Acting is my source of income. I cannot abandon my career because I have to make a living. Being an actor, just like being a footballer, does not stop you from serving Christ. Christianity is not religion; it is a lifestyle; how you live and treat people, obey the word of God, etc,” she told Cameroon Tribune in an interview.

The actress further said, “Being a pastor does not stop me from accepting roles. If I don’t continue to act films, it means I will go hungry.

“However, if there are stories that don’t add value to society, I won’t be part of them. But if they educate and entertain, then, I have no problem, even if it means playing the role of an armed robber, pr0stitute, etc. This is all about passing on a message to correct things that go wrong in society.

The InterAction Council of Former Heads of State and Government has appointed former President Olusegun Obasanjo co-chair of the Council at the 32nd Annual Plenary Meeting in Newport, United Kingdom Friday.

Mr. Obasanjo was a founding member of the InterAction Council, taking a leave for the years when he resumed office as President in 1999. He is the first African member to assume the chairmanship.

“I am humbled to have been elected as Co-Chair of the InterAction Council, a position that has been held by some of my great friends who were also my mentors over the years – Helmut Schmidt of Germany and the late Malcolm Fraser of Australia – and also to serve alongside my longtime friend Jean Chrétien, the former Prime Minister of Canada,” said President Obasanjo.

“We will continue the Council’s important work, but also look at some issues that are of particular concern to me, like youth engagement and employment. Africa has many problems but also great opportunities, and the IAC will look at both,” he said.

Mr. Obasanjo has governed Nigeria as both the head of a military administration (1975-1979) and then again as a democratically elected civilian president (1999-2007).

He was thrust into power in Nigeria following the assassination of military ruler General Murtala Muhammed in 1976.

As deputy, he took over as head of state but committed to the restoration of civilian government in Nigeria.

His administration set up the Constitution Drafting Committee and the Constituent Assembly, introduced the N20 currency and established “Operation Feed the Nation,” which evolved into the “Green Revolution.”

In 1979, under President Obasanjo, the military stepped aside and handed power to a democratically elected president, returning Nigeria to civilian rule. He was the first head of state and government on the African continent to ever relinquish power to a democratically elected government, peacefully and voluntarily.

President Obasanjo returned to power in Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 after winning two civilian elections – 20 years after he relinquished power to civilian rule.

President Obasanjo is the author of several works, many of which were inspired by his brief false imprisonment for his alleged role in a military coup in 1995. These including Guide to Effective Prayer, The Animal Called Man (1999) and Exemplary Youth in a Difficult World (2001). In 2000, he also published his memoirs, Sermons from Prison.

President Obasanjo assumes the position of Co-Chair of the InterAction Council from Franz Vranitzky, former Chancellor of Austria (1986-1997), who served as Co-Chair from 1 July 2010 until now.

Established in 1983, the InterAction Council of Former Heads of State and Government is an international organization whose objective is to address political, economic and social problems confronting humankind. The Council’s membership is comprised of more than thirty former heads of state who jointly develop proposals for action and submit them directly to national and international decision-makers.

In its 32-year history, the InterAction Council has been at the forefront of many prominent issues, most notably the 1997 drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Responsibilities, a document that counterbalances the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the 2010 Hiroshima Declaration, a powerful plea for the abolishment of nuclear weapons; and the 2012 report, The Global Water Crisis: Addressing an Urgent Security Issue.

Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo landed in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, at on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.

Osinbajo is expected to visit the Internally Displaced Persons’ camp at Dalori, as well as the University of Maiduguri Teaching hospital, where he will meet victims of the Boko Haram attacks.

Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state thanked the vice president for the visit and all the support the Buhari administration has been rendering to the state government and the people of Borno in general.

Osinbajo was reportedly driven around Maiduguri amidst tight and well-organised security.

However, it did not prevent the terrorists from launching a suicide bomb attack on the outskirts of the metropolis, Molai town.

Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe has challenged US President Barack Obama by asking his hand in marriage. His comment comes at the back of the legalization of gay marriage in the US by the Supreme Court.

Leadership reports that Ibrahim Mu’azu, director,corporate communications, Central Bank Of Nigeria (CBN), confirmed that the deadline for registration is tomorrow, Tuesday, June 30, 2015.

BVN Deadline: No Going Back-CBN

He explained further that bank customers were given adequate time and that the bank expected they should have taken advantage of the period scheduled for the exercise to register.

Contrary to the speculation that customers who do not have BVN will be prevented from making transactions, such as payments and withdrawals, Mu’azu said only customers using remote access services: internet banking,Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and other on-line services would not be able to transact.

He also confirmed that over 14 million bank customers have already registered.

For Nigerians in diaspora to participate in the exercise, CBN has also directed banks to provide online platforms for those who have local accounts to register.

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered Nigeria’s security agents to arrest his brother-in-law for allegedly extorting money from an unnamed businessman, a close confidante of the Nigerian leader told SaharaReporters. He said the suspect, named Musa Yola, was the immediate younger brother of Mr. Buhari’s wife.

After telling the businessman that he was stupid to part with such significant cash when he should know that he, Mr. Buhari, would not participate in fraud, the president ordered agents of the State Security Services (SSS) attached to Aso Rock Villa to thoroughly investigate the scam. He also ordered the SSS operatives to ensure that the businessman recovered his money from his brother-in-law.

A team of teenage inventors at the TeenTech Awards in London unveiled S.T.EYE - a condom that is capable of detecting sexually transmitted infections, CCTV reports.

The condom changes colour when it comes into contact with STIs.

The prescient prophylactic has a built-in indicator that alters its colour depending on what infection it picks up.

The S.T.EYE, the project was the creation of Daanyaal Ali, 14, Muaz Nawaz, 13 and Chirag Shah, 14.

Twitter said Monday it would only consider chief executive candidates who can commit full-time to the company, signaling that co-founder and interim head Jack Dorsey likely will not be picked.

Dorsey, in addition to stepping in for outgoing Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, leads Square, a growing mobile payments company.

“The Committee will only consider candidates for recommendation to the full Board who are in a position to make a full-time commitment to Twitter,” the messaging-platform company said.

“The search is proceeding with a sense of urgency but the Committee will take the time necessary to find the right CEO to lead the next phase of Twitter’s growth.”

Twitter said it had hired the executive search firm Spencer Stuart to help identify CEO candidates. Costolo announced June 11 he was stepping down amid criticism of the social media company’s slowing growth.

Some analysts had speculated that Dorsey, the author of the first “Tweet,” might try to lead both Twitter and Square. But Twitter’s statement was seen as pressuring Dorsey, who is Twitter’s chairman, to make a choice between the two companies.

At least 20 people were killed when a female suicide bomber detonated her explosives at a bus station in Maiduguri, a civilian vigilante and a survivor said on Monday.

“We have sorted out 20 dead bodies and 50 others that were injured,” said vigilante Danlami Ajaokuta and a survivor who escaped the blast near the city’s fish market on Baga Road.

A letter has been written to President Muhammadu Buhari by the group to find out how his new government plans to pursure the release of the girl from Boko Haram bondage.

Aisha Yusufu who is a senior member of the group said that a letter was sent to the president 10 days ago but no response has been gotten yet.

She said that the government needed to convince the people that they were serious about rescuing the girls as their families and Nigerians have suffered enough and are expectant. The government needed to show that it cared for the well-being of its citizens.

Yesufe was also displeased with the president for not addressing the nation during the World Refugee Day considering that the nation had thousands of refugees displaced in Cameroon and Niger Republic.

Three weeks after his May 29 inauguration, President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday evening relocated to the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to Punch, he joined his wife, Aisha, who had moved in on Thursday.Before he finally moved in, the President had, on Sunday afternoon, visited the Presidential Villa briefly.
Those who thought he had finally relocated to the seat of power were however shocked when Buhari left the premises after spending a few minutes.He later returned finally in the evening. Since their inauguration, Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have yet to relocate to the Presidential Villa.
They have been operating from their private residences and the Defence House, Maitama, which is the official residence of the President-elect.

“The President was here this afternoon (Sunday). He arrived at about 2pm and spent about 30 minutes before he left. He later returned in the evening. At last, the President has moved in,” a Presidency official said.

It was not clear at press time whether Osinbajo had also moved in.

With his relocation, Buhari is expected to operate from the President’s office for the first time on Monday. nice!

The APC says President Buhari has done in three weeks what the PDP government under Jonathan administration could not do in the 6 years they were in power.

Thanks to President Buhari’s shuttle diplomacy, the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) that the PDP government could not bring together for all of six years is ready to deploy next month, while the President has ordered the release of $21 million to facilitate the establishment of the headquarters of the force in N’Djamena, Chad.

Since assuming office about three weeks ago, President Buhari has visited Chad, Niger, Germany and South Africa, winning support and friends for Nigeria all over again and returning the country to the comity of respected nations.

Those who were put off by the PDP government’s resort to politicizing the fight against Boko Haram – even as the insurgents grew stronger – are now joining President Buhari to battle the terrorists. In no distant future, the results of his tireless efforts will begin to show.

Recall that just recently, there were speculations that the duo are in a relationship. This recent revelation from Yemi Alade has however buttress their alleged relationship.

Although the ongoing crisis in the All Progressives Congress does not seem to be ending soon, the party’s national leader has hinted what the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, and the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, can do to pacify him.

Vanguard reports that the national leader is still not happy with Saraki and Dogara as he feels he was seen as unimportant when the pair went against his orders to place Senator Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabimila as the APC candidates for the elections in the House.

There have been moves by some chieftains in the party make peace over the matter but an insider revealed that Tinubu wants both Saraki and Dogara to tender and publish a full page apology publicly in national dailies.

The source further said that an extended meeting of the national leaders of the party with APC governors involved had been fixed for next week. The meeting, it was learnt, would be held either Monday or Tuesday.

“You don’t joke with the man (Tinubu). He said they must make a public apology to him using the newspapers. A meeting that will involve all APC governors has been scheduled to hold either on Monday or Tuesday. Wait and see what will happen. They have to do it”, the source said.

It is a fundamental belief in Islam that all souls will return to Allah, their Creator. It is not surprising, therefore, that significant number of verses and chapters of the Qur’an teach human beings especially on what provisions to take along for that long journey to accountability. “Everyone shall taste death, and unto us (Allah) you shall be returned” Suratul Ankabut (Q29: 57).

What a favour from the Lord of the worlds who would test man on his actions and yet has provided him with answers to the quiz! A mercy and honour it is, again, from this Lord that He made for us in this world, stations at which we are able to halt and pick up our breath, assess ourselves, re-arrange our provisions and come up with new spirit and higher ambitions that would assist us to have a soft landing before Him. One of these stations is the month of Ramadan.

The most valuable of the provisions to take along to the hereafter is taqwa (piety), and that is the goal of Ramadan. “O you who believe! Fasting (in Ramadan) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you that you may become pious’’ Suratu Baqarah (Q2: 197). Taqwa in Islam is that righteousness which leads to perfect relationship with Allah, the manifestation of which is a perfect relationship with the creatures of Allah. One cannot suffice without the other. “And who is better in religion than the one who submits his face (himself) to Allah, while he is also of the best deeds’’ Suratu Nisai (Q4: 125). One of the errors people fall into is to concentrate on one aspect to the detriment of the other. The relationship is clear - increase in level of piety in a person increases his level of good deeds and vice versa. That is why the month of Ramadan has been regarded as the month of work, full of initiatives that are geared towards strengthening affinity with the Creator and better relationship with the creatures. For those activities that can assist man to move closer to Allah, here are some tips:



As-Siyam (fasting)

The soul is the greatest obstacle in the journey to Allah, and only he who takes his soul away from lust and other inherent weaknesses will be saved. One of the greatest means to achieve this is fasting. Therefore, brothers and sisters, seize this opportunity and observe the 29 or 30 days fast of Ramadan, no matter what it costs you (except in circumstances that are beyond your control).



Qur’an

A light to the hearts of the believers, a healing to the diseases of the heart and guidance from the Lord of the worlds: “We have revealed the Qur’an, as a cure (for the heart) and mercy for the believers, and it adds nothing to the unjust but loss” - Suratu Israi (Q17: 82). Ibn Qayyim said: “The reader would benefit from the Qur’an only when his tongue, his intellect and the heart jointly participate in the process.” The tongue involves in correct pronunciation, the intellect does the interpretation of the message while the heart of the believer receives the admonition wherefrom. Therefore, do not make your recitation a mere mechanical exercise, strive to benefit from it.



Sodaqah (charity)

Unlike in man-made postulations, the more you spend in Islam, the more you earn. Giving charity clears the heart of egoism, repels calamities, makes affairs easy, protects from evil and removes the anger of the Lord. Those who wish to meet their Lord as favoured servants should spend from what Allah has provided for them. ‘’So, give to the kinsmen their right, and to the needy and the wayfarer. That is better for those who seek Allah’s pleasure -Suratu Rum (Q30: 38).



The mosque

The heart of the believer waivers from one state to another as a result of a continuous strife between inclinations of faith and those of desires. The mosque is that link that can tie the heart firmly to the state of faith. O Muslims, make the mosque your second home in Ramadan and gain the favours of your Lord.



Ad-Du’a (Supplication)

In Ramadan, the gates of Heaven are opened and that of hell are closed. Shayateen (evils) are chained and the Lord is more ready to accept the requests of His servants. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Know that Allah does not answer a supplication of a heedless heart.” Therefore, let your tongue and your heart participate in your supplications.



Qiyamul Lael (night prayer)

When the day disappears and people lie in their beds after the day’s struggle, wake up to glorify your Lord, ask Him for forgiveness of your sins, submit yourself in humility and present your requests to the Lord of the worlds. Through this, your heart is purified and tranquility from your Lord descends unto you.



Maximise virtuous moments

Allah, in His wisdom, honours some moments over others and deeds in such periods fetch greater rewards. The last part of the night, the beginning of the day, last part of the day, the day of Jumah and the night of destiny (laelatul qadr) are some of those moments. Strive to be among the successful ones who seize the advantage of these virtous periods to get closer to their Lord, by involving in acts of worship, thereby gaining His honour and mercy.



I’tikaf

Ibn Rajab said: “The reality of I’tikaf is to cut relationship with creatures in order to have connection with the Creator.” O you Muslim, create time to seclude yourself in the mosque, even if for a brief period. Try to make it especially in the nights of the last 10 days of this month. Perhaps you will be blessed with the Night of Majesty (Laelatul Qadr).

For those tools to enhance relationships with fellow human beings, the following activities would benefit you greatly:



Goodness to wife and children

It is a commandment from your Lord. “O you who believe, save yourself and your families from a fire, the fuel of which is human beings and stones.’’ -Suratu Tahrim (Q66: 6). In this coming month of Ramadan, carry members of your household along in your activities. Draw a programme that would allow you to spend more time with them. Pray together, break fast together, study the Qur’an together and make joint supplications.



Joining family ties

The prophet of Allah (SAW) said: “There is no sin that is more deserving that Allah hastens the punishment for the one who commits it in this world, in addition to what is in stock for him in the hereafter than cutting family ties, betrayal and lies. “O Muslim, use this season to visit relations, or contact them through phones and letters. Settle all differences that have existed between you and any of them.



Giving food

It is one of the doors to Allah’s mercy. The messenger of Allah said: “Whoever feeds one who is fasting has the reward like that of the one he has fed without reducing the reward of the one who is fasting.’’



Solving other people’s problems

The prophet (SAW) said: “The most beloved of people to Allah are those who are beneficial. And the most beloved deed to Allah is the joy that you put in the heart of a Muslim or the worry you take away from him or the debt you pay for him or the hunger you remove from him. And for me to walk with my Muslim brother over his need is more beloved to me than to engage in I’tikaf in the mosque for a month. Whoever holds his anger, Allah will cover his defects, and whoever conceals his rage-which if he had wanted to display it he can do-Allah will fill his heart with pleasure on the day of resurrection. Whoever walks with a Muslim brother to take care of his need till it is fully done, Allah will make his feet firm on the day feet would be slipping. Bad character destroys deed just like vinegar destroys honey.”

There are others like reconciling people who are in feud, showing mercy and magnanimity. To achieve your aim, organise your programme, avoid time wasting, shun excessive sleeping, eat less, talk less and work the more.

O Muslim bothers and sisters, remember that all activities you do in Ramadan are not ends in themselves, but means to achieve a sole objective-piety. Therefore, let your limbs, your intellect and heart participate in each of them.

Some Muslims view Ramadan as a burden, and wish that it disappears quickly. What an irony! How possible is it for the One who creates and nourishes you and wishes a soft landing for you in paradise by sending messengers and holy books to ever wish evil for you?

The best time to reciprocate the gestures of your Lord is now. Seize this Ramadan period to seek His forgiveness and favour. You may not live to witness another.
