6. There is a lot more to be done in the Education sector: the only part of Enugu that truly disturbed and disappointed me was the public school system. The secondary schools owned by the state government need serious intervention. The problems are just numerous. The teachers are grossly unqualified (a Grade 2 certified teacher teaching SS2), the senior secondary school where I served has only two degree holders. The teachers are uncommitted; rather than go to class, they would remain in the staff room gossiping, transacting or breaking melon seed. The schools are wholly under-staffed. The school where I served had 50 corps members (while I was serving) to cover for the inadequacies. It got so bad that they had to retain two corps members to handle Physics and Further Maths (there is a dearth of science teachers among schools in the state). There was a case of an English teacher teaching English using Igbo language. Finally, examination mal-practice has been institutionalised without exception. Candidates with the connivance of invigilating teachers pay visiting supervisors who turn blind eye while they indulge in exam malpractice.

You see, that muritala airport. It's a disgrace to Nigeria as a country.

If you been to other airports in africa and abroad, you would know that the airport cant be compared to other airports.

Apart from toilet issues, many other things are not in order.

If you enter Nigeria from any other country, the first thing that would make you know that you have got to Nigeria is the buzzing heat. No A/C. No free wifi and many other things.

The funny part is if they take NEPA while you are in the lift. You would remain there until there is electricity.

I really commend the efforts of Acting President, prof. Osinbajo for the visit. I'm sure the government would be able to make widespread rehabilitation of the airports across states in Nigeria.

I believe things are going to get better with time. Let be hopeful and let all stop critisizing the people in the helms of affairs.

You see hen this Nigeria is full of jokes, when i wanted to travel to UAE two years ago, a family friend did the passport for me for 25k.

I think they were doing it at the rate of 27k at the time, me was feeling like oh this guy don help me ooo.

Had it been i have paid 8.7k then, maybe by now after two years i would be getting the pali.

This is one of the reasons i do wonder why people accuse incumbent presidents, cos when the government state that do the pali for 8.7k and dem they do am for 30k, she na PMB or JONATHAN that would come and issue the passport.

Its pathetic that when government declare the price for anything, why is it that everyone that in the helms of affair of that thing add something on top in order to cause hardship for citizens.

Its high time we stopped abusing our leaders. We should check ourselves first before fingering our hands to others.
