George D well done i am following your footstep and i am waiting for that bird to fly those satellite to your home more grease to your elbows.

I think the bottom line is that some of those package like infinty or daarsat has something to do with signal strenght not on receivers 90cm dish cannot get the appropriate signal to those packages i remember a week ago i manage to get those packages on 2.4M pan dish even so call kktv ,mega sport etc...were all showing and comsat is very active even on 90cm than infinity and daar packages.
Unlike MBC HD packages on nilesat on NWA beam . you have to use a powerful lnb like stargold fuji lnb that have 0.1,0.2,03db and make sure your algeria mux 88% and aljazeeral 60-65% maximum you hit green on MBC HD package but they 're scrambling on 90CM dish.

Concerning the hotbird the easiest TP on HOTBIRD is 11297H27500 for JSC sport + but your reference is that once you're on Eutelsat 16 then move your dish slightly up as if you're moving towards W3@7 degrees then you hit green the minimum signal is 48% and it is depends on your dish and the lnb.
i would be in ghana by next weekend as promised .

Swordswifter which types of dish are you using to track SKY UK and to my experience with SKY UK is very easy bird to track and i am always track the bird with 2.4M eurostar solid pan dish and i am using STARGOLD FUJI HD LNB with EUROVISION LNB.
I remebmer last time i came to volta region in SOMANYA to install 2.4M dish for friend of mine Evan ghanney.
i track the bird within 5mins with about 50 channels and the signal i got from TP 11914H27500 is 60% also we track ZAP as well and we started by 6pm in the evening and we discover that the signal becomes very strong in the morning and evening time.
So to make things very easy for you make sure your multitv is 98% and do the blindscan and the easiest TP is 11914H27500 , 11934V27500 depends on which type of dish you have.
Here in ivory coast SKY UK signal is 75% that TP i posted and i got up to 150 channels ITV HDS ;eurosportHD and many HD channels.
So try your best and let me know on how the tracking going ...i hope by next weekend i am coming to GHANA for an installation of 2.4M pan dish in somanya and i would like to visit you so that we can work together on your dish.

If you never lay your hand on a certain receiver and study the performances of each one of this receivers you will not know how user friendly they are and infact in terms of 4922 HD it is depends on which types of software you upload into it and to my experience with this receiver i discover that with S/W 115P ; the cline is not stable with that soft and the samething with 118P sometimes the receiver use to block or freeze unless you restart your STB but with the middle east S/W 119P seems very stable on clines and so on with many features.
i think the receiver work perfectly on many cccam accounts and i must confessed even with useless chynco server the receiver is very active and remember your network and cline servers matters alots.
So don't let us be discourage on STB 4922 OR 4922A...THANKS.

OGA george and all the house members, please i would like you to clarify this to me i would like to know if possible to track astra 1G at 31e and astra 3B at 23e and astra 1KRL at 19e with 2.4M pan dish and which TP i can use to track those sat as i have track astra uk 28e,hotbird,nilesat,even zap package at 36e as well.

Oga george since i am also receiving HOTBIRD , NILESAT, BARD 6 signal here in ivory coast i would like to give those lnbs a try as well on my EUROSTAR 2.4M DISH and after this i will join ESUO AND GADOTOR in ghana to carry out more researh to see how those lnbs will work accross our west coast region please.

Already i have ECOSAT and FUJI STARGOLD already and they are performing great in my location.

Dear fellow members in the house let us not misunderstading ourselves concerning what obnelly is doing after all , we know how we started while we are joining this great forum but obnelly is proofing to us that without buying an imported dish from chinco or europe , we african can do more better if we can put our heads together , why are we agueing for unnecesary issue , if an african can make a big dish and get those fringe receptions what is the problem in that , why are we jealousy ourselves instead of cooperate with him ,to assist him in archiving his goal we are jealousy ourselve huum africans with black heart.
Above all there are many great people who have archiving their goals in this forum like mr OKEY in kaduna state nigeria , he construct dishes rihgt from 3M-6M dish ,he is an african from the same nigeria.
So obnelly continue with what you're doing while i am watch your steps , more grease your elbows.

Hi to all fellow nairalanders in fact you're doing a nice job here more grease to your elbows, but my problem is that i have ZTE modem K3565Z from SFR france in which i will like to use for internet but each time i inserted the modem to my lappy is asking for ZTE CDMA TECHNOLOGY MSM after downloading this it is still the same and my lappy cannot install the driver, moreover i try another computer still the same thing please help me out GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Good morning to all my fellow nairalanders most especially on FTA platform i am very happy to informed you of my latest tracking of HOTBIRD and NILESAT.
After a lots of hard working in the i finally archive my goals by nailing hotbird and nilesat on my new 2.4M EUROSTAR motorized dish with stargold fuji LNB.
At about 9 o'clock in the morning , the first thing i did is that after tracking BADR 6 at 26 degrees east with about 120 channels then moving my dish up toward eutelsat 3C @16 degrees using the TP 10803H30000 to nail that bird 98% signal then moving my dish slightly up to HOTBIRD by using the TP 10719H27500 in which i discover that the RED signal on my strong stb is poping as if it will turn to green but no way then i decided to check other TPs may be some miracle might happen , but truly the TP 11296H27500 turn green with 56% signal strengths to my surprise after i scan the TP comes out with JSC +1-10 unbelievable then i decided to do the blind scan in which i get RAI MED, RAI STORIA, WEDDING TV etc, together i received 46 channels .
By seen the this archivement i am overjoy to the extend that i left everything then later i will do some alignments for more improvements.

Thanks alots for your beautiful explanations infact what i figure out is my DISH size hae something to do because i am able to track ALGERIAN channels on ATLANTIC BIRD 3 KU band @ 5 degrees west wit the signal strength of 72% but the 11938 V 27500 is balancing up and down but still RED .

To all after sunday battle with new 2.4M EUROSTAR PAN DISH at about 9 o 'clock in the morning i manage to track BADR 4 and BADR 6 @ 26 Degrees east using STAR GOLD FUJI LNB and my location is in abidjan in ivory coast.
But HOTBIRD remain my question mark also NILESAT refuse to pop up.
I even MOTORIZED the dish .

To my surprise is that in the morning the signal is very good while in the evening the signal is very weak so those channels showing in the morning refuse to pop up the evening.
But my goals is to track HOTBIRD and NILESAT , i need more advice , OGA GEORGE D and all the nilesat and hotbird family should come to my rescue.

All i would like to track eurobird @ 16 degree east , i would the house to help me with the strongest TP on that bird , THANKS.
