Unbiased1: Hi You are annoying oo, honestly. Can't you read? The article speaks about the poverty index in general but the percentage you were quoting was the one that represented child poverty. Oga go and read the report you posted again and stop disturbing me. Let me highlight the portion of that article for you again:
"Child poverty is prevalent in rural areas, with almost 90% of rural children experiencing poverty. Across the geo-political zones, the child MPI shows higher poverty in the North-East and North-West (where 90% of children are poor) and lower poverty in the South-East and South-West (74% and 65.1% respectively). The incidence of Child MPI is above 50% in all States and greater than 95% in Bayelsa, Sokoto, Gombe and Kebbi."
Please read like someone that studied English in school abeg. It is stated there clearly "child MPI".
As for the Statisense post, that is what they are known for. Before the National Bureau of Statistics released their report in November, Statisense had already tweeted up to 3 times about the poverty index in Nigeria where it portrayed the South West as the region with the lowest poverty until NBS destroyed their fake stats in November. Seems they have started again. The report from the NBS is the only valid report and not the nonsense repeatedly been uploaded by Statisense. Only a new report officially published by the NBS for 2023 will be accepted not this nonsense. As I said before, go the NBS website and download the original report and stop using this nonsense from Statisense. Oya, kindly link us to your NBS source. Olodo rabataa. 😂😂 This one doesn't understand the meaning of multidimensional poverty. Where is the source of your stats, you said NBS but could no provide a link to even believe you have a dunce supporter above you oiling back says a lot. Lmaooo. Below is another solid table confirming mine.

Like I said earlier, the poverty report you quoted is for only child poverty. Download the PDF for the full report and accept the report happily. Lmaoo. The index covers both people/adult and children. 63% of persons living within Nigeria (133 million people) are multidimensionally poor. The National MPI is 0.257, indicating that poor people in Nigeria experience just over one-quarter of all possible deprivations. 65% of the poor (86 million people) live in the North, while 35% (nearly 47 million) live in the South. Poverty levels across States vary significantly, with the incidence of multidimensional poverty ranging from a low of 27% in Ondoto a high of 91% in Sokoto. Over half of the population of Nigeria are multidimensionally poor and cook with dung, wood or charcoal, rather than cleaner energy. High deprivations are also apparent nationally in sanitation, time to healthcare, food insecurity, and housing. In general, the incidence of monetary poverty is lower than the incidence of multidimensional poverty across most states. In Nigeria, 40.1% of people are poor according to the 2018/19 national monetary poverty line, and 63% are multidimensionally poor according to the National MPI 2022. Multidimensional poverty is higher in rural areas, where 72% of people are poor, compared to 42% of people in urban areas. The National MPI is reported with a linked Child MPI, which provides additional information on Multidimensional Child Poverty in Nigeria. According to the report:
Two-thirds (67.5%) of children (0–17) are multidimensionally poor according to the National MPI, and half (51%) of all poor people are children. The highest deprivations are in the indicator of child engagements – where over half of poor children lack the intellectual stimulation that is pivotal to early childhood development. Can you read and do you understand English? It's an overall stats that covers regions, people, children, and states respectively. Lm.aooo |

Unbiased1: In November 2022, the National Bureau of Statistics released its detailed report on poverty situation in Nigeria. In the report, it was confirmed that Nigeria has 133 residents who are multidimensionally poor. The report also showcased a breakdown of the Poverty index based on the states and geopolitical zones.
While this report was very clear and well detailed our attention has been drawn to the pattern at which some media outlets have propagated the news since November 2022. Our focus in this writeup is the manner at which a so-called statistical outlet on Twitter has been reporting this news.
The handle called Statisense prides itself as a platform that releases statistics about various topics. On the issue of the Poverty index in Nigeria, Statisense was one of the first media outlets on Twitter to release the news. Below is a screenshot from the their tweet. Ok. Forget Statisense. Below is directly from NBS Across the geo-political zones, the child MPI shows higher poverty in the North-East and North-West (where 90% of children are poor) and lower poverty in the South-East and South-West (74% and 65.1% respectively).

Kingabia1998: The thing is Yoruba naturally Yoruba people de In Relationship with dirtiness.my mom use too tell me when they where living in Lagos, that if they comes back from work and wants to take their bath the Yoruba girls will arguably ask them where are they planning on going this one they are about to take a shower, that Yoruba girls can't take their shower for their own comfort, except for an occasion or, even school, but I don't know for now, but in my own experience, between Igbo and Yoruba girls, the most primitive or local as we assume are,the ebonyi state girls which are from inside, inside of ebonyi, like ishiagu, ikwo etc. and for Yorubas I don't know about their village but the ones we see here as their primitive or little wise as they flock Igbo land are the agbo sellers.so my own experience is I have bleeped The two, typical girls from, The two tribes that I mentioned.so the first was abakiliki girls as we fondly call them (ndi ogu ukwu,or ndi oru ahia) back in my village, two of them,my mum assigned them for me to go and show them the farmland they will weed for us, what I meant by weed is removing the unwanted plant, it's called weeding, they use cutlasses to weed so it's kind of amazing for us.so to cut the story short,we went to the farm as an exposed nigga I use the opportunity to shot my shot, fortunate for me they accepted,we do our thing, without collecting money from me.then for the Yoruba girls, their this two agbo sellers everyday they are trooping in our village because our village is not that far from the town so most of them always come to our village to sell their products.so their this particular two that always comes to one building site near to where I live so sometimes I visit the site to collect some unwanted planks and bamboo trees, you know na we Igbo guys we bad from belly,so one of my friend called one and ask them are they selling with and with, initial I don't understand the code after they discussed and she left,he told guy we are about to Bleep,I was like how,he said I should calm down, then she went and bring her sister we enter one corner do our thing.so what am saying is upon the agbo sellers look neat and packaged, but the kind of odour that is oozing from their body is too bad for young girls like that, but the ebonyi girls that are farmers are far more neat without even perfume.i was like wtf this Yoruba people are truly baggage of dirtiness roaming around. Tell your mother that should anything happen to your father suddenly, she must drink his corpse water whether she likes it or not. |
