Our railway plant in Kajola, Ogun state, has orders pouring in from across Africa for train coaches, as we speak.

The plant is abuzz with manufacturing activity, with thousands of Nigerians from all sections of the country employed there, and the plant has even built and supplied coaches already to the NRC, for the Lagos-Ibadan line and others.

Kudos to all concerned for this laudable project that has set Nigeria up as the train manufacturing headquarters of the continent.

The story is that when Buhari met Xi Jinping in Beijing, Buhari told him he needed CRRC, China's top rail manufacturer, to not just build railway networks and stations in Nigeria, but also a train manufacturing plant, to help in transfer of technology to Nigeria.

Xi Jinping then consulted with CRRC officials, and then later he promised Buhari over dinner that CRRC would build a train factory in Nigeria that had the capacity to produce 225 different variations of coaches and wagons out of the 365 in the CRRC main railway plant in China.

The result is the Kajola railway plant.

The President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Chief Emanuel Iwuanyanwu, has urged Igbos affected by the demolition of their houses in the Abule Ado area of Lagos by the Federal Housing Authority, FHA, not to cry over split milk.

He reiterated that moves are on the way to mitigate aggrieved Igbos nationwide.

Responding to their grief, Chief Iwuanyanwu disclosed that Igbos in diaspora are seriously concerned about how Igbos at home are being treated.

We have decided to set up an Igbo relief agency where every aggrieved Igbo would be funded.


“I will also advise communities to treat Igbos fairly because we are peace loving and we are the highest indigenous people that are adding to the GDP of the nation.

“Treat people the way you want them to treat you. In other words, treat Igbos the way you want Igbos to treat you,” he stressed
