Johndoe100:Good news? As someone whose business is being affected by the strike I feel the pain (and loss) caused by the strike but I'd rather suffer short term loss than experience a lifetime of oppression by people who are "supposed" to be serving me. If the strike ends as is being speculated then I feel very sorry for us, |
All this man does is raise more questions about his competency. Why do you need armed soldiers on the streets of a major city? Even if there are some security concerns as they(the government all the way from the comforts of Aso Rock) have "alleged" that is why you have a police force. Soldiers bring fear and in this case unwarranted fear. Most of what we've had are peaceful protest against a government that's clearly inept. I suggest people gather their cameras and camera phones, take as many pictures and even more importantly video footage of these soldiers and post them online for the world to see. If they want to intimidate/brutalize citizens that are peaceful expressing the rights afforded them by the constitution then they should be ready for the whole world to see it. I am so sick of this country!!! |
Really don't want to get into an arguement here. However the only thing "binding" is what the people accept. While you are somewhat correct that the issues can be separated there is also a direct correlation. I don't think you'll dispute that. My point in my initial post was that this fight is more than just fuel pump pricing and we need to make that very clear as well. |
To my fellow Nigerians in the struggle please let us be alert and aware of the REAL ISSUE. Reducing the price of oil to 97N/litre DOES NOT fix our problems. This is probably what most of us expected anyways. Typical way of trading in Nigeria; we hike up prices very high to allow room for negotitations. This fight/struggle is about CORRUPTION however it may masquerade itself. Has the president addressed all the corruption allegations against his adminstration? What happened to all the revenue from the removal of diesel subsidy? Why did he choose to meet with labor after the "removal" of fuel subsidy instead off before? Did he think Nigerians will complain but go back to business as usual? There are so many other questions that are left unanswered but he wants us to be quiet and just accept this is how things are going to be. The arrogance in this approach is so typical of those who are only self serving and sadly it probably doesn't surprise most of us. Let us start by making it clear we will no longer accept mediocrity in our government. A president in a democratic country is a pubic servant and should be sensitive to the demands of it's people especially when there's overwhelming support for a particular public policy. Obviously Nigerians don't trust government so explain and PROVE to us why we should trust you with more money. Start by taking a pay cut and cutting unnecessary expenses (43 ministers ). Again to all my fellow Nigerians PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT THIS DEAL! Keep the strike in place and expand it however possible until the administration does what they people are asking. Lastly, violence and jungle law only breeds the same so let's avoid these methods in our fight for justice. |
Can you post the VIN for this car? |
In a country where the average person is struggling to eat I am appalled that these so called "Men of God" have decided to rob gullible people in the name of God. I am not perfect and don't try to play one but the law of "sowing and reaping" that they are teaching does not only apply to money. If anyone sows deceit they'll reap the same; it might appear in a different form but it WILL appear! God luck "man of God!" |
kingoflag:While I agree with your point in many ways I still believe the issue is beyond TRIBALISM. That is undoubtedly an issue but our main problem is every man living for himself; in other words we lack visionaries! Our people don't see beyond the next big paycheck! So I tell you my brother that now ENOUGH IS ENOUGH as far as I am concerned. My goal is not to just discuss endlessly but to build a grassroots effort that will eventually be mobilized into a strong voice of our people. Again I say its not about one person doing it all but all of us doing something. |
PROUD-IGBO:I'm a guy btw and no offense taken, For a while I thought regionalizing power and even an eventual breakup of the country is what was needed but that's not the foundation of our problems from what I see. The issues have become national I believe. If you decentralize government but our attitudes towards life doesn't change then you'll have the same problems. |
I've been battling this thought now for a while and I am so frustrated by Nigeria's current situation. Our parents went to college in the US and the UK and they couldn't wait to get back home to start their lives. Now our generation is coming up with creative ways to leave the country and stay away for as many decades as possible. How can a country so blessed with natural resources, human resources be in such disarray? I'm not boasting when I make this comment but Nigerians are some of the most innovative, brilliant and resourceful people in the world yet we cannot use these things to our advantage in OUR OWN country. When will every Nigerian start living for something else beyond themselves? What does our lives mean when we're gone? What legacy have we left for those coming behind us? When will we say we will NOT ACCEPT leaders who are narrow minded anymore? Think about how shallow we are as a people when our biggest goal in life is to make ALOT of money and have many people saying yes sir, yes ma to us. Most of us are perfectly content with making money just for ourselves! I know Nigerians who will invest N40m in a bullet proof car when the car without its bullet proof features will only cost maybe N16m! What if you buy the car at its regular price and invested another N10m in the community around you? Build wells where people can get running water, buy books, shoes, clothes etc for the less fortunate people around you. Create jobs so they are not solely dependent on you. Better yet, invest in hospitals and technology so if you or any of your family members get sick you don't have to be flown to another country less you die because of a lack of proper medical care in YOUR OWN country. Think about it you might have less enemies that way and not have to worry about a bullet proof car; besides people that want to kill you can wait till you get out of the car! Now we've "elected" self serving leaders that they do what they want and no one has the guts to stand up to them and say what you're doing is WRONG and will NOT be TOLERATED! We have been told we have a democracy right? If that's the case then we should be able to practice it! Even countries that have dictators are standing up to their dictators and saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I won't even bother to venture into the oil subsidy issue because anyone with an ounce of a brain cell knows that this does not benefit the people. Those in power run this country like a family business; recycled politicians are not what Nigeria needs. Obviously what they've done in the past has not worked so why would we want them back or their family members? We have a justice system that is at best dormant! How can President GEJ say to the Nigerian people that they are investigating the recent bombings in Abuja and expect people to believe him when the attorney general(Bola Ige) of the entire country was assassinated and no one has been brought to justice so many years later? They have been insulting our intelligence for so long and we as a people have agreed to eat with the swine even though we have a right to eat at the Kings table. I once heard a comedian say Nigeria is a very benevolent nation. We are the only nation that is able to give stable power to other countries but we don't have stable power in our country; we are the only nation able to send our military troops to stabilize other countries yet we cannot stabilize our own country. It'll be naive to think any ONE MAN is the answer but a collective grassroots effort is needed to begin to plant seeds of change from every corner of every face me I face you, all the way to Aso Rock Villa. I don't think we need a law professor, or a medical doctor or Harvard graduate as president to know to do whats right by the market woman whose been selling chicken for the last 20 years, or the danfo driver whose been doing that forever, or the new college graduate who refused to sleep with a professor instead worked hard to make it. What if every Nigerian starts to think about doing what's right by their country instead of their bank account? In other words stop collecting N500m for a contract you're only going to spend maybe N100m on. You are a THIEF if you do that and you are part of our problem! All we need is to use the common sense God has given us. I NEVER advocate violence I only advocate a forum for open dialogue that results in actions that cause the desired end result and that should be the goal of every "democracy." For now I rest, |
Can you post the VIN for the accords please? |
@ lee07 can you post the VIN? Is it a salvage car? Anything a potential buyer should know? |
Can you post the VIN please? |

BetaThings:I agree so give the next coach a longer rope to work with because this cycle is beyond ridiculous! |
You guys are missing my point. I don't care who they hire. If they keep doing this Nigerian soccer will never be great again it"ll only get messier that much I can guarantee! |
dayokanu:Is that the only time they have missed the competition? The answer is no and every coach wasn't fired as a result of it. Besides Steve McClaren hadn't shown much of anything as a HEAD guy on any team before he was given the job. My point is you don't keeping doing the same thing and expect a different result. It'll NEVER work. Do your homework, hire a manager and stick with him as long as there is steady progress. Let's face it this team has been a mess for a while. Missing ANC is just and end result of what they've been for a while. And what Siasia was trying to do was build from the scratch. That takes time. |
I do think coach Siasia has made some bad judgement calls but firing him this early is unwarranted. So they are going to miss ANC so what? Has England never missed the european championships? This is not unprecedented, is progress being made? The answer is YES! I think missing ANC is the best thing that could have happened to this team. These current players feel a sense of entitlement that past generations earned on the field. Whoever is in charge of NFF has either never played any kinda organized team sport or is just ego tripping as far as I am concerned. Try something different for once and stop hiring and firing within 24months. Just because the score sheet is not in your favor does not mean progress is not being made overall. Very typical of our leadership though; everything is seen through shortsighted lenses, |
Dizzybizzy:Is there a reason why you are not posting the VIN as requested? The VIN on the picture is not clear. |
The entire VIN is not clear, can you post it? |
Hi, I just sent you one in your email. |
Is this a salvage title vehicle? Can you post the VIN? |
DunOla: |
What exactly are we celebrating? All I see is 51years of regression, one day we'll all get sick and tired of being sick and tired if you know what I mean! ALL of us and that includes me too! |
So I went to my shipper's warehouse yesterday and the pictures below are what I saw. Now the question I ask myself is why are people doing this? These vehicles have no airbags and the damage on them is pretty significant. I know the response a lot of dealers have is " no one in naija cares about airbags." My question to you is how do you sleep at night knowing you sold someone a car with absolutely no safety restraints And please trust me when I say I know these vehicles are not being shipped for parts; this individual is going to "repair" them then sell them without giving disclosure on the condition of the cars. Is the money worth your peace of mind and integrity? Oh yeah the next thing I'm told is "people that carry the hat of integrity around usually don't make it."Sometimes we wonder why almost every time there is an accident in naija people almost always certainly die, [img][/img] |
lomaxbien:Hello lomaxbien, did you know this is a salvage vehicle with an odometer rollback? Last odometer reading via autocheck shows 104k miles. Just saying, |
