TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by ty01: 1:44am On Feb 23, 2015
From my experience, I guess you were denied for two reasons; failing to explain the huge transaction that seem like lump sum and failing to explain your relationship with your mum (your sponsor).

I had a similar experience the last time I filed for visa application; I noticed a same day debit and credit transaction of 1.65m on my account statement. When I enquired from my bank, I was told that the debit and credit was because the balance in my account was moved from one branch to another. So while filling my VISA application form; I included this in the space available for comments: "please note that the transaction of dd-mmm-yyyy of 1.65m on my bank statement was bank induced. Although the net impact on my account is nil, I thought it wise to explain that I never initiated the transaction. You may want to contact my bank for further enquiries on this". The application was successful; my family and I were granted the visa.

Secondly, I also think (I may be wrong) that pictures; though important, may not be convincing enough that the person in the picture is your mum. You may need to include your birth certificate if it contains your mum's name plus a letter from your mum, stating that she intends travelling with you (her daughter) plus pictures showing you and your mum over time. Your babyhood through till now.

My own contribution.. Best of luck...

lightofjoy: A quick one pls, can I include my car particulars in my application documents.
Of course you can, just the proof of ownership certificate. But please be very sure of the authenciticy of the document before submitting same as ignorance is not an excuse. You can be placed on the 10 years ban if they verify and realise that the document is not authentic.

zabrinma: @ty01.....Thanx bro much appreciated will do so and will update the out come and think you right about the documents investigation cause I submitted alot of documents but what still buffels me is if decision has been made on my application then why still hold on to my documents?
It is not out of place to take some time to return your documents. Some verifications are done via phone calls, while some (especially those with seals) are done physically. Physically, i mean BHC will scan or send the original documents to the issuing authority for verification. BHC will have to wait for the issuing authority to return the documents before forwarding them to you. Meanwhile, the issuing authority might have communicated to the BHC by mail to confirm or deny the authenticity of the documents. By such email or phone calls, BHC can make a decission, but the documents can not be sent to you untill the BHC receives the original copies.

The delay may also be due to the inefficiency of te courier compay, I think they use UPS.

Best of luck bro nad pls relax your mind wink...

zabrinma: vicjustice, justwise and the gurus Good morning guys its been a month and two weeks since i put in my visa application for tourist visa and till now i think the BHC have forgotten me totally cause their last respond to my mail was on the 20th this month telling me they have made decision on my application but i should wait for vfs to contact me as soon as the decision is ready,Anyone been through something like this before and is it normal to take so much time on tourist visiting visa please advices will help and as for calling the vfs is what have been doing even yesterday.thanx guys waiting for respond from you and best action to take.
I think you might have submitted some documents that required thorough investigation. I just picked up my visa (plus my wife and kids) today and the issue date on it was 24 December 2013 (exactly 3 weeks after submission) even though i only got an email yesterday stating that the visa is ready for collection in two days. I took a gamble by going there today and was lucky to realise it was even ready for pickup. I got the usual SMS afer I had already collected the visas grin. I can only advise you wait till first week in January. I suggest you take your mind off your application and concentrate on other productive things, worry changes nothing; the decission is already made anyways. Happy new year bro...

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by ty01:

So does that mean if you have printed the pre 6th April form it is only valid until 26th even though the application was submitted online before 6th April. I thought you have 60 days to submit the documents once the application is submitted online or are we saying that this rule does not apply whilst these changes are taking place. It is not clear on the UKBA website.
I do not think your application is deemed complete untill it is duly paid for and all supporting documents forwarded to the visa office. Therefore you may have to pay the new fee, else your apllication may not be treated.

The point here is: you can use the old forms till April 27th, but the new fee took effect from April 6th. Consequently, if you did not pay the application fee before April 6th, I'm sorry you may have to pay the new fee if you want your application to be treated.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by ty01: 1:14pm On Apr 10, 2013
Blower46: Could anybody explain the new rules with regards to application forms? It states that old level forms can be used up to 27th April. If you have applied on line before 5th April but not physically submitted your documentation at the drop off centre does this still apply or it is just for uncompleted online applications? Also the price shown was that of the pre 5th April. Does it mean that I pay the old price or the new price even though it was submitted on line but not physically paid for at the drop off centre yet?
You should use the new application forms from 6 April 2013. But if you apply on the previous version of a form, we will accept it up to and including 27 April 2013. If you submit an application on or after 6 April 2013, we will consider it under the revised Immigration Rules which take effect on 6 April, regardless of which version of a form you use. Applications submitted on or after 6 April must be accompanied by the new fee. Applications submitted with the incorrect fee will not be accepted.

Copied from the home office website. Hope it asnswers your questions...

Vicjustice: She is not even required to provide her bank statement, all she needs is a legal proof that she is your legal spouse: her birth certificate or age declaration document; marriage certificate and her post-marital passport. NOTHING more is required of her

Many thanks...
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by ty01: 12:41pm On Mar 28, 2013
Vicjustice: Wait a minute!
Did you say that you are sponsoring the trip?
If so, your wife does not need anything from her side, she is elligibly covered under your full sponsorship even if she doesn't have a job of her own: i gave that advice based on my assumption that you intend to use your wife's job as a proof of home time or obligation
Lol, yes I am the sponsor. My gross monthly salary is in the neighbourhood of 500k, to the glory of God and I have enough funds to cater for all us in UK for two weeks. I was only trying to ensure that we boost our chances by also including some documents from my wife. I guess I will just limit the documents to her bank statement only. I am delighted reading your comment. Thank you
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by ty01: 11:47am On Mar 28, 2013
Vicjustice: "Manipulating or maneuvering" does not necessarily imply illegality, it simply means to manage or handle with skills or smart arts.
Please, kindly look that up in the dictionary and understand that i wasn't intending to slander your person.

Note: I did carefully read your explanation and i considered your wife's circumstances before commenting, and i was honest enough to tell you my mind based on what i know is the rule. Be advised that for a job to be used as a tie or an obligation, you have to be in the same employment for more than 12 calender months because, such is the window period to be legally secured in a job
@ Vicjustice: No qualms at all. I do appreciate your efforts on this forum and I have realy learnt from the information on this site. I guess my wife's landed property, our kids and of course myself could also suffice as a tie. I could sense from your comment that you do not think our application will be successful given my wife's current circumstance, but we may still give it a trial. Will keep you updated as things unfold. Thank you.

@ Dis Guy, Many thanks for your response sir! No, she has not told the new employer as she just got the offer today. There should not be any difficulty in discussing with the new employer actualy...
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by ty01: 11:19pm On Mar 27, 2013
Mr Vicjustice, thanks for your response, however you may not be correct by saying that I am seeking ways on how to manipulate the situation and maneuvre my ways. My wife got the offer TODAY and had to turn in her resignation same day! Meanwhile, we have been planning for the trip since december last year. I do not see anything wrong in seeking opinion on how best to go about the situation. I have already told my wife that we may have to differ the trip till december this year, but i was just asking if there are any other LEGITIMATE way(s) of dealing with the issue especially because I am the sole sponsor for the trip and as such my wife's resignation should not put our plan to a halt. Going to the UK is not a do-or-die affair for me, I was in London in September and my visa just expired last month. Not all nigerians are manipulators and 'maneuvres'! I am open to wise advise... Thank you
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by ty01:
Hello everybody, you people are doing a great job and I have learnt a lot form this forum I must confess!
Please, I have a situation at hand and require some assistance sirs and mas.
I am planning a vacation in UK with my wife and two kids in two months time, however my wife just got a new job today! Though I will be the sponsor for the family, I initially planned that my wife will attach documents (payslips, letter of introduction, leave approval, etc) from her employer in order to proof that she works and to boost the success of the application. I wouldn't know if this can still be done now, knowing fully well that she has now officialy resigned. Meanwhile, presenting documents from her new employer may not be a good move as she resumes on April 9th and may be too early to be discussing such with her new employer. Please, advise us on how best to go about this issue. We intend to submit our aplications on April 24th. God bless you all...
