I know the topic of this article would have lured you to ask within yourself, who or what the parasite is? Anyway, the answer is not far fetched, like we all know the parasite as an organism that feed on the host, have no benefit or good to do to the host than to harm. This is the simile of our so called Nigerian government officials, whose main and primary objective is to ruin the present and future of the youths of this great nation.

The people who among them, decide for a reason I am yet to understand, come up with the marriage of little children, the people who have ruled to send the poor people who elected them into maximum prison of everlasting poverty, embezzle the funds, suck dry the fortunes of this blessed land, the wicked people who cares much about themselves and their family at the expense of the masses.

My Golden pen has been on rest until I saw the news that the federal government of Nigeria has approved a Five Year jail term or the option of paying the sum of 200,000 naira fine for any student caught cheating in WAEC examinations.

Good law I would have said, If!! I said "If" If only they are not putting the square peg in a round hole. I would have said God bless them for a decision well made, if ASUU is not on strike, if job and employment opportunities are being well created, if there is justice in this country, if the issue of light has been well addressed, if petroleum pump price per litre is not 97 naira, if conducive learning environments have been provided for the students in all educational level in the country, among other issues I can mention from now till tomorrow.

The leader of the comusic llective ‘Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All’ claims he never met his father. Maybe that is why he is not too fond of him. In 2009 Tyler released his first album Bastard. His buzz started growing from then on mainly backed by his offensive, homophobic and disgusting lyrics. Good people of Nigeria, having watched the videos of how Rivers State House of Assembly members turned the Government House to a battle ground yesterday Tuesday 9th July, 2013. I strongly believe that you enjoy the mouth watering, unscripted home video, produced and directed by our so called members house of assembly.

Now, I have few questions for you, and my questions are as follows:
Tell me, if you are given an opportunity to describe those men involved in that shameful act of hooliganism and tyrannism, how best would you describe them?

I ask again, if you want to qualify them with just an adjective, which word would you prefer the most?

If that is what legislation and representation is all about, why do we waste millions or billions of naira to conduct elections in this nation?

Why do innocent, helpless, poor, clueless and innocent Nigerians have to queue under the sun to cast their votes during general elections?

Had it been we know that House Of Assembly is all about exchanging of punches, beating one another to stupor, hitting fellow human with planks (even with the most respected House Maze),to mention few among other shameful things our so called leaders enjoy doing.

Why don't we make selections and choose among those hoodlums roaming on the streets to be our House Of Assembly members, I know they would have done it better and make us proud throwing chairs, beating themselves to death breaking bottles and all, we wouldn't have felt any kind of disappointment seeing these on the dailies and other media.

We are all aware of killings and state of insecurity in this nation caused by the Boko Haram group, we all know ASUU is on strike to mention few among other issues that needs immediate attention in this country, they turn deaf ear as if they don't know.

All they could do is to aggravate the state of insecurity and increase the rate of crime and pandemonium in the country.

Well, we had known very well that our articles, voices or griefs do nothing to change them from their shameful and selfish acts.

But, I know our prayers can go a very long way to redeem this nation from this situation we are.
Lets all pray for this nation everyday, every minute and every second, because, we people are the nation and the Lord will rise in his infinite mercy to listen to our prayers, remember his help for the people of Israel in the holy book.

God Bless you as you pray for this nation everyday.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has commenced indefinite strike nationwide today, national president of ASUU, Dr Nasir Isa Fagge has said.

He made this declaration, Monday, at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) after their NEC meeting held at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.

Speaking to news men, he said: “We are embarking on indefinite strike nation wide because the Federal Government reneged in the Memorandum of Understanding MoU signed with ASUU in 2009 to pay lecturers their earn allowance.”

According to reports, 51 of the 53 branches of ASUU unanimously agreed to embark on the strike.
The strike with the government, The Nation learned, followed the federal government‘s failure to honour the Academic Earned Allowance (AEA) which formed a component of the 2009 Agreement government signed with the union.

According to Fagge, the Federal Government, in 2009 made a law to pay each lecturers N12,500 per month as earn allowance which it never did since 2009.

With tears rolling down my cheeks as I type this news, I received an information few hours ago about the dead bodies of UNILAG students found at the later hours of yesterday 30th of June 2013 at Airport road, Ikeja area of Lagos State.

One of the dead bodies found, happens to be Funmi Wendy Adelowotan, a 200 level first class student with GPA of 4.71, in department of Quantity surveying (QS) in my faculty (Faculty of Environmental Sciences) .

Others involved in the unfortunate incident are: Eniola Abiodun - Mass Comm 400L , Iyabo, Temi - Bus Admn 200L, Kayinsola who is the one and only girl in her family and a guy that drove the car.

However, Iyabo, whose surprise engagement party they were all coming from and Temi are both in coma receiving treatment in a hospital, according to a close friend of the victims.

The guy involved is Iyabo's fiancee's brother.

I will update as soon as I get the latest about this ugly incident.

A Missouri mother has been charged with child abuse and murder after police said she let her boyfriend rape her 4-month-old infant, resulting in the child’s death.
