CultureShocking Village That Eat Human Meat **pictures** by tyor(op): 3:55pm On Dec 08, 2014
When I found this story I personally did not believe it until I saw the pictures of a village which eat human being meat and it has been discovered that the village is in Thailand.
Though, there have been rumors about some cannibalism in some part of the country of Thailand but no one believe until this story with pictures went viral. so if you don’t know now you know that Cannibalism still exist.

As you can see from the images below, that some of the villages even a policeman taking their own piece of HUMAN meat after killing the person.
Though, there has been no information about how the person was killed or what happened but from the picture you will notice that the people cutting the human are relax and cool, so it does not look like a crime.

[b]Do an MBA by all means possible. Financial planning is a good one for the direction of the economy.

Businesses in Nigeria are now awake to the Private Equity style of running organisations wherein the capital structure is lowly leveraged and a lot of planning and forecasts are necessary for additional Equity/debt. That being said, with the rate of FDI into the country and alot of new businesses are springing up, your Planning and Analysis skills are necessary, as modern and result-oriented employers now prefer people with business management/ Entrepreneurial/innovating skills. This is because, you are now required to do your forecast like the 'business owner' e.g understanding how the Lease or buy decision for a Capex item affects profitability, liquidity, Human Asset, Sustainability, Corporate governance, etc. "gone were the days of....'my work is financial analysis, why am i concerned with recruitment?'... "

Expertise in Info Mgt is something you can acquire with experience even as an Analyst or low level officer. So also, MBA is garner-able by experience but at Management level.

MBA can be studied and used in your work as an officer to attain Management cadre quickly. Either ways, u will need an MBA by study or by experience if you plan to attain leadership in an organisation. [s]I am not sure everyone needs info mgt to attain that, rather a professional qualification might just be sufficient[/s]. Its like saying, you wanna opt for MSc Accounting when there is ACCA/ICAN. I remember an incidence where the cleaner gave loans (as much as N1m) to Staff member and it became an issue. The fact that u're wearing Balogun suit and driving a bank-auctioned honda civic doesnt make u better than the cleaner. Some of them are just not opportuned, they are smarter and richer.

You claim to be a banker and u're earning N120k monthly while the bank driver has a bus and earns N3,000 daily after work plus his bank salary of N45,000, who is better? u

A number of guys want working class girls but they themselves are not yet there, its just for these ladies to realise that Real life isnt african magic where you see a banker dude with Lekki house and Posh cars. You just need to spot your own man, that is a man with prospects, Pray for him, Support him, and dont drag him down with your constant nags and quest for Peruvian Hair.

PS: You are not the only babe that knows the ready made guy....A lot of babes know him, even babes with better jobs and prospects than you do.

*sigh* Look, men and women have certain standards. The kind of man who would willingly choose a cleaner, thinks of himself as being happy with her choice of work/person. There are certain jobs people choose because of a lack of choice. The average university graduate in Nigeria would go for teaching rather than cleaning, for instance.
There's no way to equate a cleaner with a banker, unless the person cleans Jonathan's room in Aso rock or runs a professional cleaning outfit.

[b]abeg....i wan orijin too.

I can marry a cleaner that serves orijin with Cornflakes!!!

Seriously....your banker friend didnt mean to say that.

I have a couple of friends with fantastic careers and also about 30yrs old and you have seen them evolve over the years.

Stage 1. Average age is 23yrs: When they first got the banking job - they're looking for a guy that earns 4times what they earn.
Stage 2. Average age is 28Yrs: Over the period, the expectation reduces - if he earns about the same with me.
Stage 3. average age is 30+yrs: I dont even mind, in as much as he's working and he luvs me

At this stages, this is what the guys of the same age are thinking.

Stage 1. Average age is 23yrs: If only this my colleague would consider my quest nd is ready to wait 4-5yrs
Stage 2. Average age is 28Yrs: The ones that got lucky at Stage 1 are marrying their former colleague/client of about the same age
Stage 3. average age is 30+yrs: This my old friend/colleague is hoping that i marry her, but she doesnt know that I have girl (currently at her own Stage 1). lets hope i marry her eventually.

Morals....the guy at Stage one with you, will equally have career progression, and you can grow together. Despise not the days of little beginnings. They people you see at chevron today (most of who were bankers at the beginning and wearing oversized coats) now look so posh and are super eligible

[b]This is a very interesting thread. A lot of people are asking what the best pathway is....I wish to disappoint you. There's no pathway to success...the same route followed by Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook is the same path that others have followed and they failed. Timing of your decision is very important. Moving fast could be as dangerous as moving too slow.

Speak to a career advisor (in the absence of an advisor), speak to someone that has achieved some level of success in the career path that suits you. It is disappointing that in this day and age, a Nigerian would save up N7m and dash it out to the Queen of England in the name of Masters/MBA, only to be kicked out after the programme. Gets back home with a British MBA and starts to write aptitude test and seeking for a job that pays less than N100k monthly. You should only seek such attainment when you have the necessary tools e.g. professional certification or relevant experience to prove that you're a master of that profession/skill.

Go on LinkedIn and check how many Nigerians have lofty Ivy-League MBAs.... People with Imperial MBA, Whatron MBA, Duke, Berkerly, Booth, Cranfield, LSE, etc they all want the same job as you. You need to convince an employer that u're better than these people, and ONE of the easy ways to deal with that is your understanding of the fundamentals. E.g. for Accounting profession, having ICAN or ACCA proves to the employer that u know the basics of Accounting and having passed that exam means YOU ARE RUGGED. Those exams dont come easy (even for First class graduates). Also, a moderate experience in an Audit firm (even the local ones) proves that you have seen the financial statements of different organisations. Simply put, you are DEEP and VAST.

The employer would decide if it wants someone to brag about (imperial MBA) and/or someone to stay overnight until all transactions are reconciled and accurately reported. At the end of the day, the best people are those that have obtained ICAN/ACCA, garnered moderate experience and Obtains the ALMIGHTY MBA...then the employer is forced to place them in Senior Roles (as they have proof of doing the detailed work) and Also an MBA to proof their managerial competency.

Dont be deceived. They global standard employers dont care if you have PHd, what they want is someone that meets the basic requirement and proof to be able to do the job.

I know Zenith bank's age limit for Entry Level is 2nd Class Upper and 25yrs for BSc and Master Degree holders but they allow 27yrs old for ICAN/ACCA holders, even HND+ICAN+27yrs old is accepted.

PwC also gives consideration if u're slightly older but have ICAN/ACCA.

If I were to start my career afresh, I would finish with a degree......
1. Obtain a REPUTABLE professional qualification e.g. CFA, CIPM, SHRM, ICAN, ACCA, CISA, CIBN, etc (depending on what path i want)
2. work for a few years with a REPUTABLE firm that specialises in that chosen field (e.g, HR Firm, Audit Firm, Law Firm, Archy Firm, etc)
3. Seek ivy-league MBA (STRICTLY Top-ranked schools). Pls note that only 6 schools in the UK make the list of World best 100 business schools

If you want an employer to take you because of your MBA, the reputation of your school is VERY VERY IMPORTANT. Nevertheless, with your average MBA, people still get employed because they are smart (which maybe attributed to the knowledge from MBA).

Choose wisely!!!

CareerRe: Between Master's Degree And Professional Course by tyor: 6:51pm On Nov 07, 2014
[b]Hi Poster,

Whatever you do depends on your career trajectory. IF YOU WANT TO BE A PROFESSIONAL, YOU NEED TO PASS PROFESSIONAL EXAMS.

Obtaining an LL.M (masters in Law) or PHD doesnt make you a LAWYER
Obtaining an MSc (masters in Accounting) or PHD doesnt make you an ACCOUNTANT
Obtaining an MSc (masters in Banking) or PHD doesnt make you a BANKER

Obtaining Masters or working in those capacities can confer title on you. e.g. working in a firm as Accountant doesnt make you an Accountant. You are simply working as an Accountant and you would not be allowed to occupy the office of Chief Accountant or Chief Financial Officer (especially in a big organisation or regulated industry).

A key prerequisite for leadership role in a bank requires that you hold Chartered Inst. of Bankers' (CIBN) Charter. Same goes for Chief Accountant role in Listed companies (even non-listed companies that you would like to work is so organised to want an ICAN/ACCA holder to head Finance and Accounting).

Furthermore, I dont know anyone that wants a Lawyer that has PHD from Oxford and cannot practice in any country.

Simply put, any well thinking African (seeking employment in Nigeria) should finish with First Degree and seek Professional qualification and if opportuned, grab 2 years experience before seeking Masters. This is very simple.

On the second note, in this current market place....a professional exam would help you get a job quicker than Masters degree in this country especially when u have passive Masters degree [s](as offered by 110 out of 118 universities in the UK)[/s]. A typical Nigerian private firm that is result-oriented wants someone who has got indepth understanding of a subject matter not a Master of ALL with no sound technical skill apart from Powerpoint presentation and outlook. At the end of the day, every organisation needs a balance of people with Masters and people with Professional certificate.

One of the Global corporations that I have worked has a blend of both Worlds at the Executive Management level....those that would wear Oxford suits, with cambridge presentation skills and have NO technical knowledge but will secure a client and those with Lagos island "italian" suits, fair presentation skills and will DO the job for the client.

If I were you, I would seek professional qualification after first degree, seek quality experience in a firm where i can get technical knowledge and get certified.....And finally, opt for a master degree when i am ripe to transit into Management cadre.

Is Dumb synonymous with Nigerians??

How can you open your brain and vomit statements like $20bn is much? is it your money? and have you done similar projects before to know what is too much?

have you factored the fact that Niger Republic and katsina State are volatile areas and foreigners working on that project has to be paid massive hardship allowances? Private security firms would be engaged? heavy duty equipments would have to be transported by road/air? and a private jet and choppers would be used to transport people? just too many factors that makes business hard in Nigeria
Car TalkRe: Pictures: Presidency Officials Now Use Innoson Suv's by tyor: 9:07am On Oct 23, 2014
Irritating!!!

Have you seen any political office-holder ride in this thing? They only have it in their convoy as escort cars. i.e. only drivers and police aides ride the Innosson Cars. The only Made in Nigeria cars they are comfortable riding in is the Nissan Patrol. As a matter of fact, The Secretary General of TETFUND has the Innosson SUV and the Nissan Patrol. Sorry, the IVM is strictly an escort vehicle.

Dont be deceived. Even the IG of Police with all his 12 car escort doesnt have One (1) IVM in his motorcade. Its all BMW and Ford.

Dont get it twisted, I love Made (coupled) in Nigeria cars. But lets not be shallow about some lousy policy that isnt CREATING VALUE TO THE ECONOMY. Value is created when we can export it. Made in Nigeria and consumed in nigeria is simply deferring the cost of externalities to a future date.

It's been 42 days since the last new case

Nigeria and the World Health Organization were poised to declare the country free of Ebola on Monday, a containment victory in an outbreak that has stymied other countries’ response efforts.

The milestone was set for 9 a.m. local time or 4 a.m., E.T., 42 days since the last new case. The outbreak has killed more than 4,500 in West Africa is remains unchecked in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, so Nigeria is by no means immune to another outbreak.

“It’s possible to control Ebola. It’s possible to defeat Ebola. We’ve seen it here in Nigeria,” Nigerian Minister of Health Onyebuchi Chukwu told TIME. “If any cases emerge in the future, it will be considered—by international standards—a separate outbreak. If that happens, Nigeria will be ready and able to confront it exactly as we have done with this outbreak.”

For the WHO to declare Nigeria’s Ebola-free, the country had to make it 42 days with no new cases (double the incubation period), verify that it actively sought out all possible contacts, and show negative test results for any suspected cases.

Nigeria had 20 cases of Ebola after a Liberian-American man named Patrick Sawyer flew into Lagos collapsed at the airport. Health care workers treating Sawyer were infected, and as it spread it ultimately killed eight people, a low number next to the thousands of cases and deaths in other countries. Nigeria’s health system is considered more robust, but there was significant concern from experts that a case would pop up in one of the country’s dense-populated slums and catch fire.

So what did Nigeria do right? Chukwu and Dr. Faisal Shuaib of the country’s Ebola Emergency Operation Center, broke it down for TIME.

Preparing early. Nigeria knew it was possible a case of Ebola would make it into the country, so officials got to work early by training health care workers on how to manage the disease, and disseminating information so the country knew what to expect.

Declaring an emergency—right away. When Nigeria had its first confirmed case of Ebola, the government declared a national public health emergency immediately. This allowed the Ministry of Health to form its Ebola Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The EOC is an assembly of public health experts within Nigeria as well as the WHO, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and groups like Doctors Without Borders. “[We] used a war-room approach to coordinate the outbreak response,” Shuaib said. “So you have a situation whereby government and staff of international development agencies are co-located in a designated facility where they are able to agree on strategies, develop one plan and implement this plan together.”

The EOC was in charge of contact tracing (the process of identifying and monitoring people who may have had direct or indirect contact with Ebola patients), implementing strict procedures for handling and treating patients, screening all individuals arriving or departing the country by land, air and sea, and communicating with the community. Some workers went door-to-door to offer Ebola-related education, and others involved religious and professional leaders. Social media was a central part of the education response.

Training local doctors. Nigerian doctors were trained by Doctors Without Borders and WHO, and treated patients in shifts with their oversight.

Managing fear. “Expectedly, people were scared of contracting the disease,” Shuaib said. “In the beginning, there was also some misinformation about available cures, so fear and inaccurate rumors had to be actively managed.” Nigeria used social media to to ramp up awareness efforts, and publicized patients who were successfully treated and discharged. “People began to realize that contracting Ebola was not necessarily a death sentence,” Shuai said. “Emphasizing that reporting early to the hospital boosts survival gave comfort that [a person] has some level of control over the disease prognosis.”

Keeping borders open. Nigeria has not closed its borders to travelers from Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, saying the move would be counterproductive. “Closing borders tends to reinforce panic and the notion of helplessness,” Shuaib said. “When you close the legal points of entry, then you potentially drive people to use illegal passages, thus compounding the problem.” Shuaib said that if public health strategies are implemented, outbreaks can be controlled, and that closing borders would only stifle commercial activities in the countries whose economies are already struggling due to Ebola.

Remaining prepared for more patients. Even though this outbreak was contained, Nigeria is not slowing down its training and preparations for the possibility of more cases. “Outbreak response preparedness is a continuous process that requires constant review of the level of the response mechanisms in place to ensure that the health system is ready to jump into action at all levels,” Shuaib said. “There is no alternative to preparedness.”

Advocating for more international response. “The global community needs to consistently come together, act as one in any public health emergency, whether it is Ebola or a natural disaster.” Shuaib said. “While a lot has been done, it still falls short of what is necessary to get ahead of the curve. We must act now, not tomorrow, not next week.”
