1. There are many humans who don't have respect for other people's lives. They are full of hate, depression and misguided sense of justice.
2. Revenge doesnt solve anything, it only causes more hatred and distrust.
3. There is a divide between black and white officers.
4. Government should do more about prosecuting officers who kill harmless men, that is when others wont take law into their hands.
5. Nigerians are more concerned with what happens in other people's country than in their own nation.

AgricultureHow To Start A Sucessful Poultry Egg Business by typearls(op): 6:41pm On Jun 19, 2016
Eggs are laid by female animals of birds, reptiles, amphibians and fishes, they usually consist of a yolk, albumen and shell. Each constituent is packed with nutition , calcium, vitamins and protein that makes it a major food consumed by humans. The eggs produced by poultry birds are the most common eggs found, sold and eaten in Nigeria, thereby making egg business one of the most profitable businesses especially when livestock farming has also improved.

Eggs from poultry birds (Chicken, turkey, guinea fowl) are the most viable to be considered for business.

Sources:
Poultry farms
Distributors/Whole salers
Retail shops/ food stores / supermarkets

Why the sudden interest in Eggs?
Eggs serve the following purposes:

A. It is a major food / health source:

1. As accompaniment to other food: Eggs are used in preparation or in addition to other foods, whether fried, boiled, raw or mashed. Such Foods include Plantain (Fried or boiled)/ Dodo , Egg stew, Rice, bread, yam (Bolied and fried). Indomie is the most loved. The way Garri is to sugar, is the same way Indomie is to egg. They are practical twins.

My favorite foods are the moment are ; Dodo special (diced plantain fried with egg), Mesha suya ( Aboki's suya fried with egg).

Eggs can be eaten on their own, boiled, fried or in raw form. Eggs can be fried to give different results, scrambled eggs, omelette, e.tc.

2. Used for baking purposes: Cakes, pastries, breads require eggs as part of their ingredients, also raw egg is used to glaze pastries (meat pies) before baking.
3. As a binding agent: Eggs are used as binding agent to hold mashed meat, bread crumbs, flour, fish together . (Scotch eggs).
4. As part of health and beauty regimen: Raw eggs are used to make facial masks to restore skin suppleness , some people also apply it to wound to form a protective covering and prevent germs.
Quail eggs have been confirmed to reduce diseases and prolong a healthy life in humans.
5. It is the best and readily available source of protein: Protein rich foods such as beans, meat, fish are becoming more expensive, consumers, therefore resort to eating eggs as alternative source of protein. Egg price have been relatively stable, the price increase is not steep unlike other protein food products.

B. It has high yield
A crate of egg is between N600- N800,depending the egg sizes and supplier costs, individual eggs are sold for N30 each, approximately on each crate there is average profit of N100/ N200, the more the eggs sold, the better the yield. If minimum of 10 crates are sold per day x 5 days, there is a profit margin of N5000 per week. But you can improve your output and sell more, I know of a farmer In Ibadan that does an average of N800,000/N900,000 Per day.

C. The business can be easily expanded
Egg production can be increased by acquiring more birds and running expenses reduced, or eggs sold increased by sourcing from other suppliers. Depending on how hard one is ready to work on the business, egg business in Nigeria has a huge growth potential.

D. Reduced losses:
Though eggs has low shelf life, but when kept in the fridge, they last longer , say weeks. Also there is demand for broken eggs, used by bakers and those who use eggs to fry for commercial purpose, so a broken egg doesnt have to be thrown away , it will only be sold at a lower price.

E. Commercially viable. Eggs are sold for other commercial purpose differnt from food or beauty uses. Egg shells are used in decorating projects, easter bunny preparations and other Aesthetic purposes. Even some rare eggs (Ostrich) sold or auctioned to collectors, museums and art lovers.

Most profitable eggs: In order of viability

1. Chicken eggs
2. Guinea fowl eggs
3. Quail eggs
4. Turkey

Getting into the business:
1. First determine the role you will like to play, will you like to raise eggs, have an egg-production farm or be a whole seller/ distributor or just want to be the delivery man, that is act like a courier service, the end user makes transaction with the egg supplier, your duty is just to deliver the eggs to their destination. Know yourself and what you are capable of, to make a good decision, ask yourself the following questions: Is egg business for you? Are you in the business for long-term or short -term? Will you have the patience and determination needed to succeed. Are you cut out for farming or marketing?
eggs on toast
Fried egg
2. Acquire the right knowledge, training, and exposure: Research on all available or previous egg business ventures, their challenges, risks and success. How can you leverage on their strengths? How much capital , space and tools is needed?

3. Get the capital: Source for the funds to start, preferably from savings or friends/family members donation.

4. Operational requirements: Space to operate from and store the eggs, farmland, transport vehicles, egg crates, complimentary cards.
5. Have a business and marketing plan: How much are you giving yourself to turn a tidy profit, whop are your potential customers and where will you be taking the eggs to. Do you have a backup plan, an alternative B and C? Eggs have limited shelf life, so you must make effort to have fresh eggs and sell them off as soon as possible, at least within a week.
6. Set a standard: Source your eggs from reliable farms or wholesalers, know what your customers want, big or small eggs, white or brown eggs, whole or broken eggs? Do not trade of small eggs as big eggs, a practice some make by buying big eggs with big crates and selling small eggs in small crates to make the eggs look bigger, you will lose integrity. Also do not sell rotten eggs. Some stores have specifications of the kind of eggs they would like, if you are targeting those stores. Try to meet their standards.
7. Engage with your customers: Get feed backs, reviews and responses from your customers to know your strengths, weaknesses and which areas need improvement . Have a good customer interaction with them to be able to keep them. Customers are like prostitutes, they go after egg suppliers with better service , who meet their expectation.
8. Be timely in your delivery: Avoid disappointing your customers, have several but reliable options. Eggs can be sourced from farms within and around Lagos and in neighboring environs, Ibadan, Ota, Osun, Ogun and Oyo states.

Your potential customers:

Stores and Supermarkets such as Shoprite, Spar, Food co,
Market women (Dealers in baking ingredients and food)
Caterers and food vendors
Restaurants, food canteens, hotels and offices
Street shops.
Abokis (Mallams/ Hausa traders) or Cooked indomie sellers: They are the current highest users of eggs in Lagos.
Other farms/wholesalers from other regions/states.

CelebritiesHow Lagos Overflooding Gained Me Facebook Stardom by typearls(op): 11:39pm On Jun 16, 2016
There are facebook status updates that one can post to intentionally make waves and draw attention to a social cause but falls short, but this particular one https://www.facebook.com/ChristinaAdegbaju/posts/10154244779729500?notif_t=like&notif_id=1465987261004806 I shared less than a day ago, has gone viral with over 1500 shares, 400 likes, 100 comments and still counting within two days. Needless to say, it has garnered me more facebook followers, friends' requests and also created awareness about effects of overflooding in Lagos Island areas especially Lekki and Ajah.

What makes a facebook post go viral?

Facebook posts go viral for different reasons, but from my this experience, I realised that for a post to be easily shared, liked and generate comments. It must :

1. Contain visual images, graphics or videos, they must be consistent and related to the post and appeal to the audience in such manner as to arouse their emotions.
2. Simple and concise, straight to the point, with no flowery or ambiguous language.
3. Relate to current trending issues, news or debatable points. For example, many Lagos citizens are being affected by the heavy rainfall, such as flooding in their homes, on the streets, blocked drainages, traffic hold ups, damage to physical structures, only few are indifferent while farmers are simply happy.
4. Be open to debate, while some of the commenters advocate for buying lands and houses in Lekki, Ajah, others say mainland is a better choice.
5. Be able to generate further discussion, for example if flooding is caused by the government who did not provide proper drainages or citizen who are always emptying their dirt and refuse in the few drainage/ gutters available in Lagos.

Though posts by influential facebook personalities may go viral due to the popularity of the author, other unknown author can his/her their post gain much attention even better than paid or sponsored posts, but it must funny, sarcastic, debatable, brain teasing and original.

That is how on Wednesday. June 15th 2016, I had a one day of facebook fame, looking forward to more.

EventsFat, Old, Married And Single Ladies Also Make Perfect Bridesmaids by typearls(op): 7:26pm On May 30, 2016
Osi suave also lends his voice to why removing chubby girls from the bridal train is not a ideal move
Osi suave also lends his voice to why removing chubby girls from the bridal train is not a ideal move
Reasons some brides to be give for excluding their friend or relative who has been looking forward to be part of their bridal train include:
1. Wedding pictures wont be perfect.
2. Most of their friends are old or ugly looking by their standards.
3. Only single ladies should be bridesmaids , so married women are exempted.
4. Only size 6-8 ladies, model looking are perfect sizes for bridesmaids, fat ladies are clumsy.

But wait, before you make such an uninformed decision that will hurt your friend and leave you ladies estranged, Consider the following wedding advice and tips to have a smooth wedding:

1. Get a good stylist/ dressmaker: Fat ladies make beautiful bridesmaids with the right dressing made to the right size, hit the right stores, better you don't order online or if you do, have it arrive days before the wedding so necessary changes/adjustments or fittings can be done.

2. Follow the path of peace: The pain, hurt cause is not worth the exclusion of your friend , other friends will be forced to choose sides and this will cause a rift in friendship.

3. Be inspired: Let your wedding be different, instead of living up to others or society's expectations of what a perfect wedding should look like, lets yours be unique. Research wedding inspirations on positive wedding blogs only, read the beautiful stories of fat ladies who made beautiful brides, an example is Toolz(popular Nigerian oap), lovely bridesmaids who others consider not up to bridesmaids standard because they are fat, not too good looking, married but were wonderful on the wedding day.
Who or what sets the standard of how an ideal bridesmaid should look?
It is your wedding, set your own rules.
No person is perfect, no wedding is perfect, o friend is perfect, all we can try to do is to have a almost perfect wedding and in doing so, a perfect wedding can be achieved.

4. Hire a makeup artist/stylist: If you cant hire a professional, ask a friend who is good with makeup application to make your friends look beautiful on your day. Let the bridesmaid wear lovely hair/wigs , have their style and moves coordinated.

5. Encourage: Your friend's body is her body, her face is her face, you should not shame her or pass negative or offensive comments, rather encourage her, advise her on the importance of living a healthy life, staying fit, looking beautiful and only have positive discussions leading up to your wedding. Be a good friend, share goals leading to your wedding and try to fulfill them together, shedding weight, doing facials, shopping for the right accessories. Even when your goals are not met, still have fun.

The joy of a wedding is celebrating with close friends and families, hiring strangers or alienating friends just makes the wedding a sham!

Nairaland GeneralHow To Cope With Removal Of Fuel Subsidy And Increase In Food Prices by typearls(op): 12:55pm On May 14, 2016
The present regime led by President Buhari has made good on its promise to deregulate the oil and gas industry, and its first step is to remove the fuel subsidy introduced by the previous government of Good luck Jonathan, So now the official pump price of Petrol is N145, the Current NNPC boss, Ibe Kachukwu explained that the move is necessary to encourage more marketers to sell petroleum products, reduce hoarding, fuel queues and eliminate the monotony of the select few whop call the shots in the oil business. While I am not so clear about if this is a wise or unwise move , some claim there are more benefits in the long run, what I am certain about is that in the short run, prices of food stuffs, transport will go up and other sectors will be affected.

How do you prepare for the price hike situation?
This is hard especially on most people whose source of income remains relatively the same, or has no change in salary . These times call for you to take some necessary steps to adapt to removal of fuel subsidy situation or else go broke. Here is my advice:

1. Accept the situation and get ready to make changes:
After all we are in the change regime, the situation calls for you to adapt, except you have enough influence to change the president's mind, the fuel price ha been fixed. Now work with and around it. Reduce expenses, make budgets, draw up a list of luxuries, necessities and frivolities, know your priorities, be ready to make cuts .Leave the car at home and walk to cover short distances, it helps to keep your body in shape.

2.Learn How to handle increasing food prices: Current market price of tomato and Garri, the most popular food items in Nigeria are the worst hit, 5 pieces of tomato are sold as high as N700, even Garri, used to be known as common man's food is not so cheap for the common man again, so what do you do?
Stock up and preserve food especially dry goods: Tomato prices are unpredictable, buy baskets of tomatoes and preserve them, see how to store tomatoes , alternatively Substitute Tin/Canned tomatoes for fresh tomatoes, this is the time not to be choosy .
Buy food from grocery stores: Large grocery stores like Shoprite, grandex, Foodco will offer discounts, sale and coupons not obtainable in markets, collect and use them when necessary, and because they buy from the manufacturers directly, their prices may be cheaper.
Grow your food: I f there is one advantage to this situation, it is that more people are becoming seemingly aware of the food shortage that exits and to have access to fresh foods, many are taking up gardening and owing small farms to grow fruits, vegetables and food crops. No matter how small, in your backyard, at least grow one type of vegetable or pepper, it will ease the costs of buying food.
Do more of home cooking: No more N50 beef to go with a plate of rice, most restaurants and canteens have reviewed their costs of meal upwards, a decent plate of food costs N500, save more by preparing your meals at home, save the leftovers in the fridge to microwave them later or used for another meal later. For example , ripening plantain can be used for dodo , giz godo or small chops.Use this period to Sharpen your cooking skills .
Consume less: Know the number of required calories that you need to have a balanced diet in a day and dont eat excess.

3. Invest in fuel saver treatments: There are fuel treatments sold in reliable filling station that helps to save engine fuel consumption and make your petrol lasts twice as long. Before setting out, plan your trips ahead, though a difficult thing to do in Lagos because of unending hold -ups , but avoid unnecessary detours, take short cuts with good roads if possible.

4. Save and Contribute more to your emergency funds: Everyone should have a habit of saving, especially for emergency purposes, now is the time to make more contributions into your emergency funds to be able to withstand the rising unsteady economic situation.

5. Find another source of income: That business you have been considering, now is the time to put more effort, to successfully come out of the tide of increasing price hikes unscathed, one must have two or sever la sources of fund to maintain the standard of living one is accustomed to. You can be working, have a career or a job and still have another business , you dont have to be in a physical location, you can monitor it online, see online businesses one can do, there are other options, agriculture, network marketing, affiliate marketing, investments ,search the internet to discover any that suits your interest.

RomanceFinding Happiness When He Hurts You by typearls(op): 5:05am On Apr 21, 2016
Finding hapiness:
He woke up in the morning and found her praying. He heard her praying for him.
He stared at her. It has been a long time since he has seen her praying. For the past few months, they have been arguing. Last night, they had a nasty fight.
He went downstairs in a hurry to prepare himself breakfast. These past days, she hasn't been cooking for him.
Shock on him. He found breakfast already set at the table. He ate.
He went back to the bedroom, to prepare for a shower.
She left the shower.
"Good morning. Have a blessed day" she said as she entertained the bedroom and he left for the bathroom.
After his shower, all dressed up for work; he found his wife at the kitchen, eating breakfast in peace. She was looking at some funny videos on her phone and giggling.
He looked at her then walked out the door. The last look he had of her before he left was of her at peace.
That last look disturbed him. This is not how she should be. This is not how she has been. He has been hurting her, she has recently found out that he has been flirting with other women, he has cheated once and used money meant for their family on other women. She should be angry.
Her peaceful demeanor disturbed him.
Evening came. He went home and met his peaceful wife again. She was cooking and laughing with their children. She had come from work two hours ago.
The dinner was enjoyable. Good food, she having warm conversations with the children. He as the father felt left out. His wife and children seemed to be having fun despite him hurting them.
After dinner, as she washed the dishes and the children had gone to bed. He approached her.
"Are you OK?" he asked her.
"I am more than OK. I am blessed" she answered.
"Are you not mad at me? After all that I am doing and have done wrong?" he asked.
She placed the washed plate in the rack then looked at him and said , "I asked myself, what is the most important relationship in my life? The one I have with you or the one with God? And I realized it is the one with God. I live for God, not for you. Marrying you was a blessing but it is not all there is in life. God has blessed me with life and I will not waste it crying because of the hurt you cause me to feel"
She picked up a dirty glass and began washing it.
"I realized I had given you too much power. Yes, you are my husband, the closest human being in my life and the human being I love the most; but you are not God. You have failed me but God never fails me. I will not let you ruin my joy, my peace and my progress. You break our marriage if you want to, but I will hold on to God. And as I hold on to God, I will be full of joy despite what you do" She said rinsing the glass.
She looked at him and continued, "When you hurt me and disrespected me, I realized I was acting out like a woman who has no Jesus. I got mad and hurled insults, I wanted to revenge and I allowed you to mess me day after day. My performance at work went down, I talked less to our children, I became bitter to the children, I felt sorry for myself, I developed ulcers. And then I realized, I have God, I shouldn't act like someone with no relationship with God. Why should I be hopeless yet God is with me? I had focused so much on you that I forgot about God. When you found me, I had God. We dated and got married and I let everything be about you because I wanted to make our marriage work. Our marriage became the idol I worship instead of the blessing I have in God. Our marriage is failing apart because of you but my relationship with God is still intact"
She scrubbed the sufuria.
"You have chosen to abandon our marriage but that doesn't mean my whole world has collapsed. I will still continue being a good mother to our children. They will never say the problems between mom and dad made mom a monster. You do as you please with other women, I will raise our children"
She looked at him and told him, "Do I hate you? No, it will be a lie to say I hate you. You are the man I married, the one I vowed to, the one I love"
Tears fell down her cheeks. She wiped them.
"I can't just cancel all the years we've been together. The Bible asks us to love our enemies. If I am able to love my enemies, surely I can still love you despite all you have done. I am angry and disappointed, but I have taken my power back. I live for God who has exceedingly blessed me, not for you and the pain you cause"
She wiped her wet hands, took the apron from her body and told him, "In my peace, I am planning on where the children and I will move to. Since you have chosen to have an affair, you have shown clearly that you don't need us. So we will not make your life uncomfortable by forcing you to live with us. You need to be able to bring the woman you are cheating with to your own house. I am working on something. I came into this house in peace and I will leave in peace. You will not kill my smile and shine"
She walked to the bedroom.
Minutes later. He followed her to the bedroom. He found her peacefully asleep.
He nudged her. He woke her up and said, "Please don't go, don't move out. I will hurt you no more, I will cheat no more. I am not OK. I want the peace you have. I want to be the kind of husband you are as a wife"
Since that day, he has been a reformed man. No more affairs, hurting her, no flirting with other women, or endless fights. She didn't move out. She and the children stayed. He submitted to God and learned how to be a good husband,
Love is powerful enough to humble the most proud heart.

AgricultureHow To Start Catfish Farming As A Lucrative Business by typearls(op): 6:53am On Apr 09, 2016

Fish farming is a very cheap and reliable source of income generation. It makes use of available land and water resource and it’s convenient to practice within living environments. In Nigeria fish farmers’ normally stock, fish living in the fresh water and brackish water.
This post is easy to read and understand, it is a write up that explains a Step-by-Step to:

· Equip farmers with “quick-win” skills to keep high quality fish,
· Equip farmers with “quick-win” financial skills to generate profit from fish farms,
· Encourage non-farmers to establish viable fish farms easily.

Nigeria has great potential to become an agricultural powerhouse. 70% of our great landmass is suitable for agriculture, yet only 30% of the land is currently used for cultivation. Nigeria’s diverse climate, from the tropical areas in the South to arid zones in the North, allow the cultivation of virtually all agricultural products grown in the tropical and semitropical regions of the world. There is thus abundant opportunity for growth and expansion.

The agricultural sector contributes 70% of labor force, 80% of consumed food, but only 40% of gross domestic product (GDP). 90% of agricultural production is produced by smallholders with the average farm size in the South reaching about 0.5ha and in the North 4ha. Subsistence smallholder farming thus continues to dominate the sector.

Fish farming as an enterprise is one of the numerous approaches which will successfully transform Nigeria’s subsistence agriculture.

Fish farming is a critical form of aquaculture that is gradually gaining wider acceptability. More than 30 percent of all the fish consumed each year are now raised on land-based or ocean based aqua farms. According to the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization State of World Fish and Aquaculture 2012, aquaculture industry is growing three times faster than land based animal agriculture. There is an increase in the demand for fish and fish protein, which has resulted in widespread overfishing in wild fisheries.

Fishes found in Nigeria’s fresh water are:
· Bighead carp
· Grass carp
· Pangas catfish

Fishes found in Nigeria’s brackish water are:
· Tilapia
· Marble goby
· Flat head grey mullet
Different sections in catfish production
Production of parent stock
Fingerlings production
Production of grow out/table size
Processing of catfish i.e smoking for local and export
There is no area one invested in above that is not lucrative if properly managed.

Steps in farming fish
Site Selection - When selecting site for homestead fish farming. Please try and select sites near the house for easy accessibility and security

Step 1: Select sites close to the house
Pond Construction - You can use any pond such as earthen pond, concrete or plastic. The use of any type depends on the nature of the soil type and amount of money you have. For example earthen pond is very cheap to construct but limited to areas where there is clay soil, underground or water nearby water source.
In concrete homestead a surface area of 5m x 5m x 5m with 1.5m depth can be constructed. The floor is made 7.5cm using cement. The floor is sloped towards the side of the pond for the draining of the pond. Concrete ponds are recommended but they are expensive. Plastic containers can also be used. Plastic containers of 5 feet by 5 feet are suitable for the ponds.
Concrete pond is very good for backyard fish farming

Step 2: Concrete pond is recommended for homestead farming
Pond preparation - After plastering the construction you need to wash off the cements or you may lose your fish fingerlings to the alkalinity from the cement dust. The pond should be limed (CaoH) to neutralize the acidic effect of cement and to predispose pond water to effective fertilization. You should use the agric-lime at the rate of 250-500kg/ha. Sometimes wood ash at the rate of 2500-5000kg/ha may be used as alternative. After application it should be allowed to stay 5-7days before washing it off with good water.

Step 3: Neutralize the acidic nature of cement by applying agric-lime 250-5000kg/ha or woods as and wash it off with water after 5-7days.
Treatment of pond water - The pond water should be fertilized with organic or inorganic fertilizers. This method provides the nutrients needed for the rapid development of phytoplanktons and zooplanktons. You should apply 225-250kg/ha by broadcasting. For organic apply a total 400-750kg/ha of poultry waste or 500-1000kg/ha of cow. The waste should be placed in a sack bag and lowered into bottom corners of the pond. The bags are removed after 6-10days when the water has turned greenish in color.

Step 4: Apply fertilizer or manure to help phytoplanktons and zooplanktons plants to grow in the pond.
Selecting fish to stock - Catfish are recommended during stocking for commercial purposes namely: Clarius gariepinus, Hetero claries, and Heterobarchus bidorsalis.

Step 5: Stock catfish for commercial purposes
Sourcing fingerlings - It is recommended to source fingerlings that are 3-4 weeks old ahead of stocking date. You can source through government agricultural departments, private hatcheries, Nigeria Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research Lagos, African Regional Aquaculture Center, Port Harcourt and some other fishery stations.
Step 6: Contact state ADP, ministry of agriculture more information and help.
Stocking - Air and water volume should be considered when stocking otherwise the reverse might be the case and all efforts become a waste. Concrete ponds should be stocked at the rate of 30-40fingerlings/m² for one type of fish (monoculture). For polyculture 1 tilapia 4 catfish is required. 50-60fingerlings/m² are recommended for earthen pond.

Step 7: The higher the volume of water the higher the stocking rate.
Feeding - Fish feed are used as supplementary food materials to add to the algae, zooplanktons and phytoplankton that grow in the pond. Unconventional feeding can be done using worms, flies, termites and maggots. Fingerlings are fed daily according to their body weight. It is required to measure out feed equivalent to 3-5% of their weight. This will be the feed needed for the whole day. Divide this quantity into equal portions between 3-5 times at regular intervals. Put feed at the four corners of the pond.

Step 8: Measure out feed equivalent to 3-5% of their body weight
Pond management - The water in the pond should be changed when it is having too much greenish colour with spots of foams. Aerate the pump regularly by pumping water into it while allowing waste water to overflow pipes. After 2 months of stocking, sort your fish and move bouncers or shooters into another pond to avoid cannibalism.

Step 9: Change polluted water with fresh water and aerates the pond after one week of changing water.

Bases on our visit to farms we have seen a lot of million down the drain due to in ability to manage each section of catfish production very well. From collecting of quality fingerling to good water management to feeding quality feed to the fish etc all this areas must be perfected to really maximize profit in this sector.
To meet up with the rising cost of production in catfish all areas of production must be thoroughly look into most especially feed production which take up to 70% of the total production cost. So base on this fact a good knowledge of your feed (catfish feed) and good feeding regime is important to maximize once profit today.
In conclusion I can boldly say fish business is a lucrative business which has not been really tap into because as a country we have not produce up to 50% of the country demand. This makes the opportunity in this sector much and ripe to be tap into by any individual who is ready to annex this opportunity.

Nairaland General5 Ways To Turn The Fuel Scarcity And Power Shortage Into Your Advantage by typearls(op): 6:19am On Apr 05, 2016
1 It is no longer news that the fuel scarcity has been around for a while now and it doe not seem to be going a way anytime soon, not that one is being pessimistic, but that is the way it looks. What is news is the power shortage that occurs simultaneously with any petrol scarcity, I thought by now the power company should have had a better alternative of power source, aftearall Kainji dam runs on water.

My advice: Turn the fuel scarcity situation into a full blown advantage. Here what is what to do.

1. Lose some weight: Those little trips around the neighborhood, to the store, supermarket tah usually seem so far that you must drive there , trust me with your footswagen or leggedesbenz, the same trips can still be made, walk, fast walk or simply jog to wherever it is you are going instead of driving, you will be amazed how short the distance seems to be and in the process burn some fat and shed some kg.

2. Build new relationships: It is easier to start a conversation by just going off on how tedious it is to get fuel, everyone understands, start the conversation and someone else will likely take it from there because almost everyone has an experience to share, the suffering is mutual, except one is a marketer's relation and am sure not all marketers have access to fuel when they need it. Initiating a conversation about fuel is a good ice breaker, so either improve on the relationships between you and colleagues in office, family members at home, fans and friends on online media and build new ones at the filling stations while on fuel queues.

3. Focus more and analyse your goals: The fuel scarcity has curtailed many people's movement and drastically reduce social outings, during the ample free time, reanalyzed your priorities, it is the first quarter of the year, are you near where where you want to be, relax more, worry less, have time out with those that matter to you even in the comfort of your homes.

4. Invent: Necessity is the mother of invention". Now is the time to see how creative you can be , have you been utterly dependent on power to cook, sleep, live a normal daily life, do household chores, start thinking of best alternatives, research on alternative power supply like coal, wind, water , see which forms for you, if you are a scientist or creative thinker,be innovative, any invention that will give oil and gas a competition will be appreciated. I have heard of water powered car, wind -powered pumping machines, solar powered stoves, but the alternative fuels seem not to last, even the power banks need electric power to be recharged.

5. Add spice into your life: Husbands and wives, this is the best time to explore more possibilities between each other, more time for closeness and intimacy, parents and children will improve on their relationships,no need to shout on children to read, sleep on time or so, there is no light for T.v or computers. The "no time" excuse will be pointless now , whether we like it or not , the combination of fuel scarcity and power shortage has given us more free time than we ever need, except the new excuse can be "I want to go queue for fuel".
BusinessThe Untold Truths About Multilevel Marketing And Sucess Rate by typearls(op): 5:41am On Apr 05, 2016
Multilevel marketing (MLM) or network marketing is not new to many Nigerians, what many fail to realise is the necessary understanding needed to succeed in Network marketing.
multilevel marketing

Many often ask, What is Network marketing? Is it real or a scam? Is it a get rich quick scheme or takes years before seeing any measurable sucess? These questions , though important are properly answerd before jumping in or backing out from a network marketing scheme.

My earliest memories of MLM, was of Penny wise which later fulfilled the pouplar cliche of "Penny wise, Pound Foolish" as thousands of Nigerians lost huge amounts to the scam, no security , no guarantee, no one that can be sued, every man was for himself, inheritances and people's life possessions literally went down the drain.

Then came GNLD, Forever living products (FPL), Tianshi, Trevo, Organo gold cofee, Oriflame, Swiss Gold, Tasly, Aim Global and many more. What do these companies have in common? There strategies may be different, their offered products varied but they are all Network marketing companies.

Network /multilevel marketing is a system of selling products and making more sales through referrals. It involves bringing on board others to join in the distribution network. Many also refer to it as referral marketing, even the affiliate marketing is a form of network marketing.
Due to past experiences of many,. Nigerians tell to run or flee from such marketing schemes, others who join do so without having proper knowledge of what the network marketing is all about.
Do you know that whatever your misgivings may be, network marketing is still the way to go, it is a billion dollar making industry in the world and a million naira making industry in Nigeria. The fact that some names seems to have been silent in recent times does not mean people or companies are not continually turning profits, yeas ago, when I was serving in a bank, I had the privilege of handling one of the Multilevel marketing company's business account and they literally make millions of Naira per month, that i show much people believe in them and joined in their growing business. Successful
Small business owners have found the secret and turned their businesses to mega industries through the power of network marketing, Mary Kay, Avon, Tara, because all of them realized that there no better form of advertisement than the word of mouth. Many trust the products that has been given a great review by their friends. "Because she said it is good, then it must be good"

5 Common excuses why Network marketing is a No/No for some.

1. I have tried one before, it did not work for me.
2. I am yet to see proofs of those who are sucessful.
3. I dont know how to market/ sell to others/ I am shy talking to people.
4. I don't have the money/ time, too busy.
5. Many Mlms tell lies and fail in fulfilling promises

5 worse reasons to join Mlm
1.I need to get rich fast.
2. I want access to the good things of life without paying much for it, fast cars, trips abroad, vacations in exotic resorts, foreign seminars and more.
3. You are selling products that promise all cure-alls, whether the customer is perfectly healthy or not.
4. As long as there is huge population, you will use every trick and means to push a product on a client.
5. As an alternate employment when all else has failed, it should not be a last resort kind of thing.

5 good reasons not to join multilevel marketing
1. If you are afraid of change or leaving the comfort zone
2. Allergic to stress
3. Unprepared or have the wrong perception about the business
4. If you believe you dont have to work, talk to people or open y
5. If you have fear of rejection or planning on giving up too soon.

Ten good reasons to join
1. You can keep a day job and do Mlm part time
2. You build a network of quality contacts and associates
3. You share common interests with like minded people
4. It increases your relationship skills , confidence and human relations
5. Your social media skill will improve because most of your marketing will be done online, that is where to find old and potential clients.
6. You will be held accountable, apart from reporting on the progress you are making ro the company, analyzing transportation, calls costs, expenses incurred during marketing and comparing it to profits made will give you a good idea if the effort is worth it or not, if not after several months, then know Mlm is not for you. Have focus.
7. It offers financial freedom, see it as a future investment , you start to build your financial portfolio and save for a rainy day.
8. If you prefer to work from home and the 9-5 job is not it for you.

Tips to determine the best networking marketing program to join
1. Consider consumables, these are fast selling products like food, cosmetics, drugs and gold. Choose the one you also buy yourself and will feel comfortable selling to others.
2. Understand the scheme, how do you climb up? Is there a limit to one's expansion? is it a one on one marketing, pyramid , table or a line marketing.
3. Find out how long the company has been in business, the longer the more staying power, do they have a board of directors, human faces you can associate with the company, a physical location, a branch office in your country or local area.
4. Ask the person that introduce the scheme to you to show you proof, including part of his/her statement account that clearly shows he/she has been receiving payments form the company or of another marketer in the program.
5. Find out if the marketing company will give seminars, not the normal "see how much I made in Three months"talk shows, am talking of intense training programs to mentally prepare you for the task ahead and improve your leadership skills.
6. Is the pay off even, fair and generous, is it worth the effort you will put it. Does it offer something better? If the company says the payout is online into an account you can't access or withdraw from, please stay away and keep off , it is a scam.
7. Never quit your day job yet if still working, see how the next few months turns out.
8.Choose wisely, Only work with companies that their mission and marketing practices ease your conscience.

Nigerians , believe it or yes, are making millions from multilevel marketing, though many have lost monies but those who have been consistent and studied the terrain well are still smiling o the bank everyday. The big business men are into it, Donald Trump, Richard Brandson, Robert Kiyosaki, Stephen Covey, so why not you. You can make your next billion from network marketing either from your own business , investing in another business or selling for others. There are amazingly good Mlms, I belong to one that is doing well, but what works for me may not necessarily work for you. The choice is entirely yours, read all the reasons above and consider if you still want to go ahead , sit on the fence or just completely ignore. Whatever you decide, Am here to help you answer your questions on the next business step you will like to consider.
Romance15 Qualities Of Man That Will Turn A Woman On by typearls(op): 11:54am On Apr 02, 2016
1. A man who is more than a friend: Whenever you feel like sharing the best news, the saddest sorrows, the highs and lows, the ups and downs, the good, bad and ugly and can find that special man who you are not afraid to share it with, without fear or regret, then you are among the lucky few, you have a special friend . Spouses, partners, kin does not translate to being friends, friendship is deeper, you can sense what the other person is thinking, have a premonition of her actions and can break a leg for her. This is the type of man every woman strives hard to get, the ultimate friend
2. A man that does the unusual: He is confident of himself, not hampered what society's view of male roles or conform to the accepted norm of how a man should act with a woman. He is a fighter, protector and above all, he is not afraid to tread where others stand back. He sings with his frog voice, dances with his two left legs, not afraid to be labelled for his woman's sake and keeps on surprising me.
3. A man who Listens: Women are born natural talkers, we seldom keep quiet when it comes to expressing feelings, reacting to situations or making our voices to be heard. A man who cares to listen to what exactly the lady wants him to hear and not necessarily what she is saying definitely has my respect anytime ,anyday. A man who is willing to teach and be taught is a turn on. Deep connection can only develop when a man is attentive, ready to share his inner feelings and willing to keep the lines of communication open

4. A man that is playful: Not the kind he plays with other men, not rough play, but the gentle kind. Many emotional bonds have been strengthened over a game of Ludo, Chess,Sudoku, cross world puzzles, Xbox, Play station, hide and seek, tete a tete, catch me if you can, the playful relaxing moments encourages individuals to continually seek out each other . In every man, there is a a child lurking, it is not bad if the child can be allowed to play once in a while.
5. A man who knows the difference between sex and making love: Sex is a physical act, a coupling of two individuals, it can be as a result of various factors, chemistry, frustration, lust, lack of self control, but making love is sensual, it is an emotional attachment, it does not necessarily involve an intercourse. Everyone should know romantic sex is 90 percent seduction and 10 percent execution, a man should put more effort in the seduction, wines, candlelit dinners, slow undressing, touching, caressing, opening car doors, is part of the seduction process, it may take time, a couple of days or weeks till a lady weakens or she is certain a man is right for her. Sex, on the other hand is over in two minutes from start to finish, it can involve regrets, disappointments or awkwardness. A man who understands that not every touch is about touching base, not every date must end in sexual intercourse or every girl you feed must pay in kind is a Yes! Yes.
6. Expressive eyes: I mean the kind that looks as if the man is staring directly into your soul, reading all your feelings , and holding you in a lock down gaze. His eyes are like mirrors , a refection of his passion. I like a man who by a lifting of his eyebrown, a wrinkle of his eyelid or a blink of his eyes , he conveys more messages than by direct speech. No wonder some men will be like" Look at me when you are telling me that", the eyes are a magnetic force , under its direct stare, you have no choice but to say the truth, accept whatever is laid before you or continue to fall in their depths.
7. A man who can laugh at himself: A ladies man knows that life is not so serious that he can not laugh at himself or accept he has flaws. A man is able to laugh at himself if only he has a great sense of humour
8. A man with a great chest: Not too lean that his bones can not hold my head up and not too fat that my head keeps dropping off, but an adequate chest that will serve as a pillow when my head needs rest. Not so much into the six packs thing

9. A man who can take of his finances: Not so little that the man depends solely on a woman and not too much that he acts arrogant and uncontrollable with it. A man who can control his finances and spendings is a step closer to heaven, he can take care of responsibilities that come his way, provide for his family, provide niceties for the woman in his life ,and still save for the rainy day. A man that understands expenses must never be greater than income is a turn on .

10. A man who can cook: Most men lay claim to some form of prowess in the kitchen department, we not talking of the Indomie, boiling tea kind of variety, I am talking of real meals, beef stew, vegetable, egusi. To be candid, any man who can handle a stove , pot and food stuff to produce a decent plate of rice, stew and fried plantain has won my heart already. It is so sexy sometimes seeing a man in the kitchen deftly handling what a woman considers her own domain/territory, some women wont even give up their territory for fear of an unknown disaster that can happen, Not me, I will gladly give it up even if its once in a week, variety as they rightly said is the spice of life.

11. A man who likes adventure: Note my words, not thrive on, but like it, a man who thrives on adventure is prone to give one heart attacks, can take unnecessary risks and his life is a constant battle to overcome a dare or challenge. But a man who likes adventure is in it jut for the fun, he knows his limits and will be cautious. I love surprises, going on tours, traveling, picnics, trying new things, experiencing new culture, being exposed to new tastes, to have a man who shares the same interests is a plus, not a hermit or one who is set in his ways.

12. A quality dresser: A power dresser dresses to intimidate, but a quality dresser wears clothes suited for each occasion and purpose. He is comfortable in his own skin, the clothes are juts to accentuate his style. It is not in the clothes quality dresser wears that makes him fashionable, it is the way he wears them. He can wear shop bought suit and appear lovelier than another wearing designer outfits. A man smelling and looking nice is always a definite turn on.
Seeing A man in three quarter short is a most turn on for me. Nothing as sexy as seeing fine legs, hairy or not, three quarters show legs off and says the man is comfortable in his own skin.
13. A man with ambition: A man with a sense of purpose and direction is a turn on every time, this man knows where he is headed, has plans and he is staking steps to achieve it, he does not cut corners, change course at every storm on his way or trample on others to achieve his goals. Being with man for few minutes, hours can say a lot about him, if he is an Iroko or a reed that can be easily swayed.

14. A man with the midas touch: Everything he touches does not have to turn to gold, but a man who has the right magic in his fingers must be heaven sent. Every caress, touch and massage feels divine. Playing with a woman's hair is a plus too , Short or long hair is not a point, the feel of a man's fingers running through a woman's hair is the most relaxing sensation a woman can feel.
15. A sensitive man: This is a man who understands that sometimes a woman may be in the "mood", he is tuned to every inflection, nuance, feeling a woman may emote, he is affectionate, gentle, patient and above all understanding. He is slow to keep grudges, a man who can feel and not ashamed to show his feelings is an alpha male

I want to ask is it fair for a webmaster to hold on to a site domain and hosting details after he has collected lots of money for the services and holding the owner of the site to ransom?

Blogger is still better than self hosted WordPress anytime.

RomanceHow I Lost My Best Friend And Favorite Crush by typearls(op): 2:39am On Apr 02, 2016
“Hello, Yetty, It’s me, I just made the biggest fool of myself today”
“What happened?”
“You know I told how I have always had a crush on Tunde and you also know about my diary, I write everything in it, including the number of times I felt Tunde looked at me (not sure if it was me, or he was staring at someone else), the many times he has brushed past me, mistakenly touched, how he set my heart ablaze, my feelings aflutter and my nerves a jittery. Well, just my luck today, on my way to class, I happened to pass by him, my breath seized, and darn my weakened knees, I stumbled, though I almost fell down, but he caught me (Oh what bliss I felt).

Gosh, suddenly I became clumsy, my bag slipped, all the contents scattered in different directions, Tunde, in trying to help (He’s such a nice guy, do you know that?), guess what he picked first, My Diary, I mean my precious, personal diary where all my secrets , wishes and future hopes are laid bare. Oh God, I wished I had died then or the ground has swallowed me up.

Oh what have we got here,” he said. He flipped through some pages, he commented how nice my handwriting was, how meticulous and patient I must be to keep a diary till he realised most of the diary’s contents was about him. Can you blame me? He is my current crush, my supposed to be Romeo.”
“Hello, are you still here?”
“Yes, I am, so what happened, it’s normal to crush on a guy.”
“No, no you don’t understand, let me finish. He read every detail (believe me, I was explicit, his color of his eyes, his every move, analysis of his anatomy, every girl he has talked to or so much looked at, how I feel like strangling them (I mean the girls), what I wanted him to do with him, I wanted him to be my first kiss, my first everything, what we could do together during free periods.”
“Alas, right there and then, I felt like the dumbest fool on planet earth, I wanted to be air and vanish without trace.

Tunde just looked at me with such contempt, disgust and pity, he demanded who gave me the right to monitor his every move, how he can’t bear to be with me if am the last girl on earth, that I am sick and need help if the only way I can get a man is to stalk one. Can you believe it? Am I a stalker?”.
“Hello, friend, don’t be upset, you have nothing to be ashamed of, though the way you wrote about those things in the diary is unlady like and ………………..”
“What are you saying? Are you trying to put the blame on me?”
“No, but………….”

PoliticsAftermath Of Nigerian Elections: 10 Lessons Applicable To Life. by typearls(op): 6:56pm On Apr 18, 2015
1. Never give up (Buhari): Failure is when you concede defeat and never try again. Buhari even in his old age and after losing presidential elections 3 times became the president –elect in 2015. That shows Power of hope and believing in your dreams.
2. The Desired Change is in your hands (Votes): You can achieve the change you long for by taking the right decision and implement it. While some of the electorate chose to obtain the Pvcs (Permanent voters card) , few of them actually went to the polls to vote. So in a country of 150 million people , 90 million are eligible to vote (18-70 years),that's excluding babies, overaged And people incapable of voting(mentally challenged or ill patients). According to INEC records,30 million citizens exercised their voting right, so In this present age, less than 30% decided the fate of others. Babtunde Fashola and Jimi Agbaje are some of those who bemoaned the low voter’s turnout in past election.
Moral of story: If you don’t vote, Don’t Complain.

3. Be magnamious even in defeat (Jonathan): Whenever things are not going to plan or to your liking, remember the adadge “ You live to fight another day”. People will see you more as a hero, if in a fight you can concede defeat and congratulate your opponent. You do not have to stir up violence against your opposition, backbite or make undehanded moves just to discredit your fellow contestants. A contest is a game of numbers, analytical thinking , foresseing your opponent’s moves and taking necesasary actions. Business like politics is not a do or die affair, Alliances are broken, new ones are made depending on interests. Be ready to forgive and move on.

4. Unite for a cause (APC): Two heads are better than one, but ONE mega party is better than 3 small ones. People with similar interests, agenda and focus can form a coalition to advance their cause. You need not wonder why a conglomerate wins contacts or get the juicer deals than one man businesses. Also, a joint protest by many is more heard than a one-man protest. Look for a party with similar interests , form an alliance , with well written defined terms stated in the agreement and work towards achieving your goals.

5. Mentors and role models are a must have (Obasanjo, Bola Tinubu): “One with God is a majority with many” Agreed. But “ One with God with numerous destiny helpers will get you to the promised land faster”. Your role model will influence many of your thought processes and how you carry out decisions,While you can pattern your life after a role model from afar ,A mentor must be closer, he shares with you his experiences, expectations from you, pleads on your behalf, takes his share of blame, and guides you how to overcome challenges. Your choice of role model/ mentor can have a negative or positive influence in your chances of winning. If your “Yes sir” means they will carry you on their back to your destination, then Say it. At no time , must you publicly disagree or quarrel with them, resolve all issues privately and let people see your loyalty and commitment to them. Make your opinions known but do not engage in public fights, they are a show of shame. In one of the states, though a party presented a viable candidate, his Godfather marred his chances, while his opponent rode on the machinery and wittiness of his own godfather to victory.

6. Modern days calls for modern innovations (Card reader, Social media): Change is constant, you cannot fight it. Just prepare for it and accept it. For you to stand out and be outstanding you must be innovative, study latest trends and make use of it. While others were objecting to the use of card readers, clamoring for election postponements and making massive adverts using traditional means, others , who benefited in the long run, were getting prepared for any eventuality and influencing the decisions of many through the use of social media which even costs less. An average young person (18-40 years) gets his information on Facebook, email, twitter, instagram and other online means and spends a considerable amount of time surfing the internet.
In the recent elections, the discourse on political issues espcially on twitter makes interisting reads (elnathan, omojuwa, kayode Ogundamisi, Tolu Ogunlesi, ayourb, ayedee, demola olanrewaju, debola williams, eggheader, renomomokri, realffk have all turned to be the spokesmen of their favaorite parties , some even call themselves the progressives, their twitter fights is very enlightening)
Moral: You cannot solve tomorrow’s problems with Yesterday’s answers.

7. Be a port in the storm (Jega): you will go father in life, if people look up to you as an arbitrator of peace. Your experience, fairness and calmness ,no matter the situation will always be valued as gold. In your workplace don’t be surprised even if your boss relies or looks up to you because he is assured you will always keep a cool head even in crisis . Do not give away too much of your feelings, emote easily or throw tantrums unnecessarily (Orubebe), that one minute of madneess will eventually count and be used against you even if is your first and only time. Always be known to be peace loving rather than a trouble stirrer, that way you win more people to your side.

8. Focus on the bigger picture: Have the end in mind , don’t be embroiled in little things that do not matter . They have a way of making you lose focus. Don't engage in unnecessary fights, they only cause distractions.

9.Always be in charge: This is true especially if you in a position of authority , You are the head, so you must be able to accept all responsiblity that goes with it. Be careful in your choice of aides, spokesperson, team memebers, their attitudes, actions and words will reflect off you which cab put you in a good or bad position. Do not isolate anyone but you should be able to remove or replace anyone who does perform up to expectation or does more harm than good. Do not always impose your ideas on others .Listen, be attentive and observe all what goes on around you.Have a good feedback network that gives actual and not made up reports.

10. Integrity is key:
Let your "Yes" be "Yes" and "No" be "No" . In the recent elections, some group of people were seen to easily switch allegiance due to promise of position, monetary gains. loyalties were destroyed and friendships ruined. This led to bitterness, tribal dissension and total distrust . Its best to let people know where you stand and a true leader to your followers. In other words, be a man of your word. Don't be easily swayed by immediate gain, Think deep. Have an end in mind, Plan and Foresee into the future, the latter benefit can be more than the monetary reward you get now. Some say " Promises are made to be Broken" but dont make yours lightly , Some people's words is more than an insurance and bankable. Let yours be one of theirs.

Final words: VOX POPULI VOX DEI ( The voice of the people is the voice of God).If people desire change, they can make it happen and nothing can stop it.
