They can't fight militant in the south ,they can't fight bandit in the north....na for person to grab 30 hectares of land remains Mumu talk. buygala: Some questions that I ponder on in view of this military/civilian conflict are:
1.........Did anyone compel these soldiers to join the military?...Why the excessive anger and disgust towards civilians?
2......Are they working for free so that Nigerians owe them so much?...They get paid while their bosses have almost equal access as top politicians to the Nation's treasury ....So what exactly is the reason for the sense of entitlement and feeling that they are above the law of the land?
3.......If they demand these extreme respect because they die defending the country, what then should accrue to the thousands who have died due to the failure of the country's security architecture?....We should worship those ones as gods and prophets then?...Isn't everyone at risk of dying in this country as it is presently anyway?...
4....While these soldiers have security in numbers and availability of ammunition to fight insurgents, ordinary Nigerians have mostly only their guts and instincts to protect them from the same criminals ....in fact some people in remote areas, long distance drivers and travellers are at risk of facing these criminals without any armed colleagues or ammo to back them up...Are these people also to demand exception from the laws of the land because they are brave enough to face criminals even unarmed?
Lastly, this "a General is always a General" talk, what law backs it up?...If it is true, what law is a retired General subject to then?...Civil law or martial law?...if he is subject to martial law, how then can be labelled "Retired" and not sent to war like his mates?....If he is subject to only civil law after retirement, how then is he still a General?...and if he is retired and still a General, what and which soldiers is he commanding, and to where exactly is he doing so?
What exactly is going on in this Country ? Did anyone stop you or your village people from joining the military? Young Yerima dey give una sleepless night. His double promotion will follow soon |

adetoya234: The PDP should not proceed with this convention until all pending litigations are dispensed with. It’s no doubt that some judges at the lower courts are complicit in delivering absurd rulings which goes contrary to established precedents. However two wrongs can’t make a right. Should they proceed with this convention despite an injunction restraining them, they may not be eligible to fill any candidate come 2027. Go and stop them from conducting their Convention this Saturday na. |

FreeStuffsNG: If this is true then that's what probably got into his head. Smh.
Please let us leave out his Dad out for now. The old man served and should be accorded his respect.
I am not sure his Dad or any Dad will be really happy to watch his son have a shouting match with a representative of the President.
I will not be surprised if his Dad is already reaching out to people to intervene. His father may not like the fact that it was even his own son the retired Senior Officer sent on such non-core military task that doesn't count for promotion.
That's not fame but notoriety that can lead to his being dismissed from the armed forces or posted to one obscure place where he will prefer to quit than to take such posting. If he's in Sambisa or our embassy in Polynesia, will he have time for land matters? No nah. The Young Northern officer is a Hero. He deserve a national honor and promotion. Wike goofed big time |

But Yarimo is Yoruba version and it has no meaning. Most South West people wish they are from North. That's why they associate themselves with North by using Northern names. But they don't know how to properly apply those names. For instance * Yarima- Yarimo * Sarki. - Sarki * Magaji. - Mogoji * Hajia. - Alhaja Funny people |

Politics › Re: Meet AM Yerima: The Naval Officer Who Challenged Wike Over Abuja Land (Photos) by Typing: 7:40am On Nov 12, 2025 |
d142475: Nigerians are so shallow. A lot is at play in this confrontation. Let me break it down in simple terms: a) The Military officer(s) are/were in the wrong. Regardless of how you feel about Wike, the officer should produce the documents of the land. This officer clearly thinks that he and his Oga are above civilian officials. Also, he was clearly disdainful to the police officer, a law enforcement officer of the Nigerian state. If you think our politicians are arrogant and disdainful towards us, the military is ten times worse. This young officer showed the arrogance of the military towards law and order and towards civilian authorities,
b) There is the subtle North-South dynamics at play here. I can bet my liver that if this FCT minister were El-Rufai or Bala Muhammed or Muhammed Bello, this officer of Northern extraction would not have been this openly defiant towards him. He would have said "Rankadede." The fact is Northerners think they are superior to the rest of the country, especially Christians, and they can't stand an assertive and effective Christian politician like Wike. This officer is clearly expressing the sentiments of the Muslim North, who think that FCT ministry is their birthright, and who are still agrieved that Tinubu chose Wike, a Christian Southerner, as the FCT minister.
I am not a fan of Wike, but it's good we see the dynamics at play in this interaction Trash talk. The Young officer did his job excellently well. He need to be promoted |
