what sort of fallacy and grand delusion is this? Northern states combined don't even make up to 30% of Nigeria's GDP. The north will suffer the most of the current political structure is altered I'm any way. Their elites know this hence their uneasiness. Imagine northern states with no federal allocation of heavily reduced oil funds. The north will eat grass in less than a decade. There is difference between Military government giving out oil blocks to Northerners and oil and gas professionals manning and operating oil and gas facilities. The former the Northerners may have due to nepotism but the latter they don't have because they are educationally disadvantaged at the moment and can only strive in a federal character initiated employment. I have seen assets and I can say from first hand experience that Northerners have a long way to catch up, they only rub shoulders when it deals with federal agencies where meritocracy is thrown out of the window.
