There are several islands on the river Niger that belong to Anambra state. They all fall under Anambra west LGA. The island of Igbedor seems to be the largest with a bustling fishing community there. The people there speak Igala and Igbo. For many years they were forgotten in the provision of government projects but now Governor Chukwuma Soludo is remembering them with healthcare, schools and sanitation interventions. Governor Soludo is the first governor to visit these island communities of Anambra state and he is engraving his Solution touches there.

It's a distraction tactics to reduce the chances of PDP candidate. The appellate court may eventually rule in PDP's favour, but the ugly deed might have already been done by then. APC are very good at this. They used the same tactics in Ondo against PDP's Jegede.
