Katsina State Ministry of Health has recorded a first suspected case of coronavirus, the permanent secretary Dr Kabir Musptapha has said.

Briefing news men this morning, Mustapha said the patient, who is presently in self isolation, returned from Malaysia and developed symptoms that warrant further investigations. “Already, his samples have been taken and results being expected tomorrow.

The contact tracing will commence as soon as results are out,” he said. He noted that the ministry is taking all precautionary measures and closely working with National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on the matter.

The permanent secretary advised people of the host community of Dutsinma town to be cautious of movements and gatherings. He added that people should feel free to seek medical attention as all precautionary measures were in place to provide support.

The virus has tolled to three confirmed cases after the Federal Ministry of Health Tuesday confirmed the third case in Enugu. The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire disclosed that the third case was a Nigerian national in her 30s, who returned from a short visit to the United Kingdom on March 13th.

Singer, Dammy Krane recently ripped apart an artiste, believed to be Orezi, in a SnapChat post. The singer ripped his subject apart for asking other artistes not to copy his hairstyle. In the video, the Catch Feelingssinger said that his subject comfortably copies his song and dance styles but would come out to warn other artistes against copying his hairstyle. Dammy Krane went on to call him a “hairdresser.”

It is believed that Dammy Krane’s subliminal shade is aimed at Orezi because Orezi had earlier made a post showing off his new hairstyle and warning other artistes not to copy his style.

A young model has shut down the damn internet after she and her team caused light traffic on Victoria Island in Lagos, just for a rare kind of photo shoot.

From the videos making rounds online, the model, a dark-skinned buxom beauty, is seen in stringy bikini that put her massive behind on display, the look was complete with stilettos. She struts across the road, in front of parked cars, while her photographer snapped away at his camera. Also, the model poses on the pavement, beside a palm tree, before crossing the road again, seemingly uncaring of the massive attention she is getting.

Astounded Lagosians could be heard behind the camera, swearing in righteous indignation, however none dared to confront to model.

This photo shoot may be the first of its kind in Lagos, and sure thing, everyone wants to know who this daredevil of a model is. But what do folks think about this daring shoot?

“There are beaches and pools for shoots in Nigeria though. All for the wrong type of attention,” said one Instagrammer. Another disagreed with this, saying that the model “has the right to walk around the whole neighborhood….She’s Mama Africa.”

However, some did note that the model put herself in harm’s way, and this is because of the occasional reports of women who were harassed for wearing certain outfits their abusers deemed immodest.
