Sometimes when agent tells you things like this, it's best you trash it and move on like you never heard.
How possible is that? Italian passport by proxy. Maybe he thought it's the Togo and Benin Republic certificates.

If your friend or relatives or anybody you know dey East Africa and him dey eye their Passport...abeg tell am to forget about it and go for it in the right way..
Difficulties wey naija guys get for East Africa
1.Their women na our easy access to the country every thing but if you get problem their women no fit save you even if she wants...

@ my journey to Hanoi … I have gotten the evisa and will be visiting month end . Please, I did like to know if I can stay in a particular hotel while I visit other provinces . How big is the country ? Is it possible for me to situate in Hanoi and sightsee in Ho Chi Minh, Sapa etc or do I have to be moving ? I just want to spend 7 nights . Thank you in anticipation .
Congratulations on getting your visa.
Ho Chi Minh is in the south of Vietnam while Sapa is far North of Vietnam.
From Sapa to Ho Chi Minh city is 32 hours by road (non stop) and 2 hours by Air to Hanoi, then you use bus to Sapa for like 3 to 4 hours. So check it out yourself.
Hotels are cheap so you can pay for the days only you wish to stay in any city.

Since you're coming strictly as a tourist and to spend 7 nights and wish to visit other provinces. If you have reasonable amount you can do road trips. Eg. If you land in Hanoi ( North), tour the tourist provinces like Ha Long Bay / City, Sapa, Hanoi city Ninh Binh. Then take a bus to Da Nang (12 hours from Hanoi). Da Nang is in central Vietnam. There you visit Hoi An, Hue and Da Nang City and beach. From Da Nang you move again to Ho Chi Minh city and tour the South including the Mekong River etc. from Ho Chi Minh city you depart Vietnam. But 7 days may not be enough to tour all these cities.

Vietnam is a fast developing country far more than Nigeria. No matter how interior a countryside may be in Vietnam, three things are certain: Electricity, good road and pipe-borne water.
Nigeria external reserve is $35 Billion while that of Vietnam is $92 Billion.

That said, it's utter irresponsible and simply an abuse of illusion to say rice will hit 500k in 2 years. How you take dey reason sef? Besides the fact its unrealistic, would you be happy where you are to learn rice hits 500k at home just so you could chest-beat that you predicted it?
Sheer needless hatred. Damn, to what end?

You can't keep living this way.

In the early to mid 80's, Majek Fashek sang a song "Garri 1 cup 1 Naira". My elder brother rebuked him then that it would never happen how 1 cup of garri cost 1 Naira. As of then, 6 cups of garri was 10 kobo.
A few years ago we were all gisting when we met and talked about the Nigeria situation. Today 1 cup of garri is between #200 - #250 depending on the city you live.

If someone told you in 2013/2014 that 1 bag of rice would cost 90 - 95k in 2024 (just within 10 years) would you have believed it? Meanwhile, in 2013 1 bag of rice was 8k.

So, my brother, nothing is impossible in Nigeria today.

Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by u3fine(m): 7:14am On Jul 05
WES assessment is for Canada and not valid for Australia. Based on your degree and occupation, the assessing body in Australia in charge of your nominated occupation will assess both the degree and the work experience.

Prymuhxz:
Hello Everyone,

Good day.

Please I need some clarifications.

I got my academic credentials assessed successfully by WES for the EE stream of Canada. I am planning to apply for Australia PR too. Is my WES credentials certificate valid there or do I have to get them done from some another agency?

Kindly request for guidelines.

Travel / Re: Traveling With An Old Nigerian Passport When A New One Is In Process by u3fine(m): 7:56am On Jul 03
justflow1:
Hi everyone,

I need clarity on the following issues:

Background:

I have an incorrect Date of Birth (DoB) on my passport, causing difficulties. I first had to correct the error on my National Identification Number (NIN). After two months, the DoB on my NIN was corrected, so I proceeded to the Passport office to capture my information for re-issuance. It has been one month since I captured my data for the new passport, but I have not yet been called to pick it up. The immigration officer informed me that the passport office in Abuja is experiencing difficulties syncing my data from the NIMC portal due to network issues, which I don't fully understand.

My questions:

1. Can I travel with my old passport, which expires in December 2025, since the new one is not ready yet? Yes you can travel

2. If yes to question 1, when would the old passport become invalid, given that I might have left the country when the new one is ready? [font=Lucida Sans Unicode]It becomes invalid immediately it is signed and collected either by yourself or proxy.

3. Do immigration officers at the embassy have a way of checking passport details online? I am unsure if my data might have changed on the backend but not on the physical passport, as I am still using the old one. Yes, but I don't have a definite answer to this. You can confirm from the contact you have at the immigration.

Thank you in advance for your response.

Your old passport becomes invalid immediately you sign and collect the new one. Eg. If the new passport is ready but you are yet to collect it from the immigration office, you can still be using the old one.
At the point of collection of the new passport, it will be activated. Immediately it is activated on their system, then the old one will become invalid when scanned in any border gate.

The begging is pro max at our airports. Both Arrival and departure.
In October 2023 upon arrival at Port Harcourt International Airport if you see the begging. I was embarrassed.
What really made me more embarrassed was when the plain clothes officer was begging an Indian abi Lebanese man for tip. The man brought out OLD and dirty #100 note and give to the officer ( it's like the man know and purposely travelled and came back with that money). The officer look and returned the money that it's insulting to him to give him that old money.
While traveling back in November, at the departure terminal, same begging.
But when I got to my destination, no one cares about what you bring for them.

Since English language was a language of instruction, I dont think you need any English test certificate. You are a native english speaker and English language was the language of instruction during your undergraduate studies. Get a proficiency letter from the institution you attended. You should be concerned about German language A1 or A2.

Nobody can give you a clear answer because it's a new program and no one has gotten the card.
Wait until a clear guideline is released. They already said 2 qualifications: Vocational or University degree.
You can try your luck and based on the outcome of your application, others can follow.

sjflight:
Hello Naira landers,
Please i want to find out if one can use a qualification of 2 years university diploma in Integrated Science Education(2 years program at ABU ) to apply for the opportunity card, I have used this to work for 7 years, and i have 7 years experience now. Can they accept anything less than degree? because i only saw two options, a university degree or vocational qualification.

Pls kindly give me more insight on this.
