Guys, I have been trying to get an extended warranty for my 2012 Ford fiesta, but every warranty company I have tried (AA, RAC, Warranty wise) says my car has to be less than 12 years old. The mileage on the car is 57k.

Please what other option do I have?

Thank you SPDAZZY.

Try this guy in Leeds. He does automatic and he will first take you on an assesment drive to assess your readiness.

Hi People,

Please I am in dire need of a driving instructor in Leeds. I have done driving lessons in Bradford, however, the earliest test date I could get is sometime in July. I have changed to a closer date (23rd of this month) and just need an instructor in Leeds for about 3-5 hours lesson so as to familiarise myself with the route. The test is for an automatic car and I already have 5 years experience back home.

Please recommend a good instructor as I don't want to move dates. I have contacted a few driving schools from my search online and they said they don't take in candidates with less than a month to the driving test.

Please please.

Thank you.

Thank you Reeshee.

My only issue with CeX is their exploitative tendencies.
CeX will buy an iPhone for £100 from a customer, and sell same for £250.
I would still prefer Facebook marketplace (with eyes wide open and only pay after I have collected and tested the item, never ever ever bank transfer). Or eBay.

Hi people,

Please where is the best place to buy an iPhone (new or refurbished ) here in the UK. Someone mentioned back market a couple of days ago, not too sure. Which is better to buy? A friend in Nigeria is asking to know whether it is better to buy here in UK and ship down or buy in Nigeria.

Thank you.

Thank you. You got a very good deal. My search begins.

Tenski:

Abeg no vex.

I searched on Autotrader and CarGurus but got mine on Autotrader. The car dealership is close to where i live. Rang them up and went there. The sales man gave me the keys to test drive while holding on to my license. The car drives like a dream. All major checks were done. The price was £6,800 but i negotiated it down to £5,600. The negotiation took a long process but they finally accepted but the best they could do is give me 3 months warranty on the car.

Specs
1.2 litre engine
2015 model
21,232 Miles
2 keys
Full service History
MOT and Full service done for free

Just as Oga Lexus and some others advised, i paid half the amount with my brothers Credit card just for a little protection. While i transferred the other half to them.

Facebook too many scammers
Gumtree same thing
Ebay most cars i found on there were far away

Any questions abeg ask, thanks

Hi guys
Please I need help. I was just catching up on the thread and realised I have made a mistake on my mum's visa application.

In the part where it asked how much she would be contributing, I inputted the amount I will be sponsoring her with and also same amount in the how much your sponsor will be helping out with.

Her biometric is on Friday and I am yet to upload all her documents.

Can I address this issue in her cover letter please?
I plan on uploading her documents this night.

Thank you.

Well.. that was not my case. I have been in the UK for over a year now. So I don't know.

OGINNISM1234:

They have updated the questions they asked during partner's application.

Now you must prove that you have been living together at a particular address for at least 2 years.

Or

Provide explanation why you have not been living together for 2 years.

Been in the UK for over a year now. I have not changed my name either. Change of name is not necessary.

When did you apply? And was your VISA granted?.
Travel / Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by ubby26: 7:17am On Sep 28, 2023
For me, I applied for visa for me and my spouse 2 days after we got married and only provided 3 wedding pictures and our marriage certificate. We didn't live together so we both used the addresses of where we both stayed before getting married. I didn't provide any chat history or exchange between us even though we had courted for 2 years prior to getting married.

Willydean:

Good day everyone
I got married 4 months ago what documents do I need to attach to process my visa that me and my wife has been together for more than two years kindly advise thanks.

You are just a very rude person.

I made an assumption and if it was incorrect, you could just say that and correct it, instead of assuming nonsense.
You don't know everything.

Thank you Goke for the clarity. Like I stated, it was what i assumed as I didn't know why.

Goke7:

That’s not true, with your permanent driver license from the uk you are allowed to drive or exchange your license in Canada and the US and they drive on the right in North America and not on the left like uk. If you say our not too transparent licence process in Nigeria is the problem then I agree.
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by ubby26: 4:34pm On Sep 08, 2023
I am not shying away from any truth or using emotions. I just made an assumption which I stated. That's what I thought.

Tier4Dependant:

Most of the countries allowed to exchange licenses drive on the same hand as Nigeria 😂😂😂😂

We all know the reason, why are we shying away from the truth. cheesy

Let’s deal with facts and not emotions or sentiments. I won’t rubbish my own if there is no reason to do so.

Besides, saying I don’t see Naija in that category isn’t rubbishing 🤦‍♂️
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by ubby26: 8:53pm On Sep 07, 2023
I think the reason why the automatic swap does not apply to Nigerian drivers license is because of the right hand driving thing. In Nigeria, it's a left hand drive so we drive on the right, and it's the opposite for UK. Most swaps I have seen are countries with right hand driving as well.

It will take some getting used too to drive on UK roads when you just arrive, and if we are being honest, most of us did not learn the right way to drive. The reorientation is necessary.

Lol, my brother you have been scammed. No legit company ask for any payment before employment. Giselle has told you.
You have been scammed!!!

Datakey:

Well mine made it clear to me that their recruitment is been handled by an international recruitment firm, and the registration fee is 1400 pounds. I sent someone to confirm from the company over there is it was legit or not, and after everything I paid and the rest was history..

Let’s not tag everything as scam

For your peace of mind, use Qatar. For me, it's Qatar or BA.

Wahala...
Me and my brother agreed on Egypt air, few hours latter he called me that his friend said I should not even try Egypt air. People say don't try Air Maroc, now stay away from Ethiopia airlines.

I'm confused.
